BECKET JONES
As an NFL quarterback, endorsement ads and the media pandering after me are all part of the game.
Ivy Hayes is the first woman who doesn’t care about my money and the notoriety that goes along with it.
But I’m a long-term guy, and she operates strictly in the now. Which means I need to bring my A-game.
Otherwise, I’ll end up getting ditched.

One the most anticipated books for me from the ingenious mind of RC Boldt. Becket Jones is the most lovable character so far and sure to be on everyone’s book boyfriend list – looks, athleticism, humor, charm, steam and sass. He is entirely swoon worthy. When his friend enlists the help of Ivy Hayes and her unique business, Ditched, to discreetly break up with his girlfriend, Becket has encountered the woman of his dreams but also the biggest challenge of his life. Ivy is not a relationship person so Becket has to formulate a plan to get her to see his way of thinking. Both humorous and heart wrenching, this page turner will not disappoint. Bravo and Encore – RC Boldt!!
Y’all, I fell in L.O.V.E. with Becket Jones in He Loves Me . . . Knot and holy moly did I fall in deeper with him in Ditched. The man is perfect. No, seriously. He loves kids and animals. Loves his family and friends. Will do just about anything for anyone. Add in the fact that he’s a football god, a really handsome one to boot, who’s looking for that one person to spend his life with—he’s a long-term guy. And he’s got me and all the girls in the yard actively swooning.
And Ivy. Man, that woman is driven. Driven to make something of herself. Driven to rise from the ashes of her crappy childhood. Driven to help make lemonade out of the relationship lemons her clients find themselves stuck with. But something that’s not driving Ivy is finding love and a person to share her life with. She’s immune to love—or so she thinks. But she’s never met a force like Becket.
And he’s a force to be reckoned with. He’s all in on this growing relationship with Ivy, now if she would only give in to the feelings she’s trying so hard to keep beneath the surface.
Sigh. Seriously. I’m still swooning from this fun, smart, sexy, deep, lovely romance. I loved falling in love with Becket and Ivy as they went. Their hilarious meet-cute was crazy fun. I loved how their friends and family rallied around them both. That they had amazing support systems.
And that ending. Good lord, I did not see that coming! It was brilliantly original!
***5 ‘#TeamBeckett /Only Love’Stars***
This book was filled with all kinds of goodness. It was fun, sweet and smexy and I swear my cheeks are hurting from the dopey smile I KNOW I had plastered to my face the entire time I was reading because there is some serious swoon worthy heart twitterpating moments that go on in this book. There was also a good dose of heartstring pulling aka making my eyes do that watery thing moments as well as a few growl inducing ones, but as they were mixed in with everything else they only served to keep me turning the pages and wanting more when everything was said and done.
OMG Beckett! Seriously this man makes me all swoony and twitterpated while making my ovaries explode. No joke. He is practically perfect and is full on book boyfriend material. I could say more, but you just need to experience him.
Ivy. This woman. The walls around her heart are high and wide, and despite not knowing the full story as to why she’d built them so high, I hurt for her believing that she had to keep her heart on lockdown. But even with that in play, it didn’t make her cold ~ in fact she was warm, sassy, funny, snarky and determined.
Beckett and Ivy’s journey starts off on a somewhat unconventional foot and continues that way as they get to know each other and Beckett somehow finds that one crack in Ivy’s walls, gets under her skin and burrows his way into her world. I loved their bantering, flirting and the sexual chemistry between them was hot! There are some interesting twists and turns in their journey, some expected, others surprising, but I loved where they ended up after all the smoke cleared.
I pretty much devoured Ditched. I loved the premise behind ‘Ditched’ and how it started. The secondary characters were so much fun. Tank and Dax cracked me up, and I really hope we’ll see them again in the future, I now NEED to read He Loves Me…Knot and the glimpse of a couple that I knew was awesome. So if you’re looking for a fun, quick read with lots of heart, a couple of interesting plot twists and just enough drama to keep you on your toes then this is a definite must read for you!

According to his best friend, Emma Jane, star quarterback Becket Jones need a girlfriend. So, when she thinks she sees the perfect woman for Becket at a frozen yogurt shop, she does what any best friend would do . . . she introduces herself and fakes labor pains so that the woman she just mets feels guilty enough to hand over her phone so that Emma Jane can both send Beckett a quick text from it and add in Becket’s number as well. All with just calling her best friend, B, so that the woman has no idea who he really is.
There’s a problem, though, Ivy Hayes doesn’t date. Actually, her business, Ditched, is breaking people up, not keeping them together. But when the mysterious B reaches out via text, they truly hit it off . . .especially with their love of the word of the day app they both have on their phones.
When the two finally do meet, Ivy has no idea just who Becket Jones really is. For the first time in his life, Becket feels he has a chance at a real relationship with someone who wants him, and not with someone who wants what he can do for them or because of how much money he has. With Ivy’s fear of commitment and relationships, however, Becket is truly going to have to go for the win before he’s the one getting ditched.
This book was fabulous! I wanted Becket’s story from the first moment he was introduced in He Loves Me . . .Knot. If anyone deserves a happy ever after, it’s him as he may be one of the sweetest male characters I’ve ever read. He and Ivy really are perfect for each other and their banter while texting and getting to know each other was laugh out loud funny as the tried to outdo one another using their word of the day.
Ivy has a past, however. One she doesn’t share with anyone and one that caused her not to believe in relationships. The way Becket slowly starts to win her over is divine! He’s such a good guy and it shows in his every action. And, even though she is terrified to admit it, Ivy truly cares about Becket as well.
When Ivy’s past threatens Becket’s career and reputation, however, Ivy’s character is really put to the test. It’s a beautiful moment when she finally realizes that her past doesn’t need to define her present and that she’s going to have to be the one to truly make the grand gesture to let Becket know she’s in it to win it and no one will be getting Ditched.
It’s fun, fabulous, flirty and completely heart-warming! 5 stars!
Ditched is the reason why RC Bolt has become my one click author! Ditched is definitely one of her best yet. Beckett was amazing in He Loves Me Knot, and here he’s just dreamy. Ivy was just sweet and busy with her business.
The first meeting with Ivy and Blue was one of the best set ups I’ve read in a long, long time!! I laughed so hard!
Then when Beckett and Ivy meet for the first time was freaking fantastic! I was laughing so hard!
But what I really loved was the slow burn of the romance, getting to know each other while getting to get Ivy to drop her walls.
I FLOVED Ditched! I had so many feels while reading, I did laugh out loud a lot, I cried… And Ivy’s reaction to watching Beckett with the kids. Beckett will become your favorite book boyfriend he’s too good to be true, great sense of humor, amazing friend I loved it. But I understood where Ivy coming from it was hard for her to trust after what she went through I was floored! The ending I did not see coming!! I was stunned…. I absolutely loved Ditched. The ending was perfect… Bonus material was sooo good!!
I read this book in one sitting. It’s a ‘friends to lovers’ story about Becket Jones whom we met in Love Me Knot, the book previous to this one. Bennett is the star quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, in Miami. When his best friend Blue (Emma Jane from LMK) meets Ivy Hayes in a dessert store, she decides the quirky woman is the perfect fit for Becket and tricks Ivy into giving her her phone so she could put his number into it.
Becket and Ivy slowly get to know one another through calls and texts but it’s not until Dax, another of Becket’s team mates needs Ivy’s help that the two actually meet.
Ivy runs an unusual business. Instead of helping couples get together and find love, she helps them break up. Safely and calmly. This is something that Dax needed help with and he hired Ivy. He took Becket with him for moral support.
Neither Ivy or Becket knows who the other is as they haven’t exchanged full names or pictures, so Becket is slightly confused and alarmed when he starts feeling attracted to Ivy, as he was developing feelings for the digital woman he’d been in contact with.
Ivy is a very guarded woman, she’s had to be for a long time due to a traumatic incident in her past but for some reason, Becket seems to get past every wall she has built around her heart just by being himself. And, it’s no wonder, this man is top of the line book boyfriend material, he’s hot as sin, sexy as all get out and hits all my swoony buttons. Ivy finds it hard to resist all this and falls hard, their texts varied between super cute and intensely hot. Their banter was often funny, sexy and flirty but had a few serious moments as they slowly opened up to each other.
Becket is just starting to think of a long term future with Ivy when her past comes back to slap her in the face. It causes trouble for Becket too but Ivy can’t tell him the truth and he has to make a heartbreaking decision.
Can they stay together or will this be the downfall that Ivy always envisioned for their relationship?
I freaking loved this book. I was sweet, sexy and had just the right amount of angst. Ivy and Becket were perfect foils for each other and I loved getting a little glimpse of EJ and Knox’s life after Love Me Knot. The other secondary characters were a riot too, especially Dax and tank, man, those guys were funny.
If you’re looking for a fun read that’s going to leave you with a smile on your face this you need to get Ditched today.
I Loved this storyline. It has humor, secrets, romance and fantastic characters. The book is very well written and will draw you in from the start and hold you to find out all the hidden twists or maybe I should just say it will hold you tight until the end).
Ivy Hayes is a fascinating character. She learns early on in life that she has a gift for helping people get out of bad relationships without all the heartaches and drama that often follow a break-up. She is so good that she starts her own business called Ditched. However Ivy is jaded due to something in her past. She doesn’t do relationships at all and she hate the limelight. But I’ll hand it to her, she is up-front and honest with her gentlemen friends and easily walks away when she needs to.
Becket is the Jag’s football teams QB and face of the Franchise. But he is so much more than just his good looks. He is looking for his “one and only”. He wants the picket fence and happy everafter. So when his best friend, hooks him up with Ivy (which is a hysterical event you must read to appreciate), her No relationship policy definitely is a problem, especially as he gets to know Ivy. But Becket never backs down from a challenge. But can he get her to open up about her past? Can he slide in past her walls she’s built or will her past be the thing that finally makes him walk away and give up on the idea of his one and only?
Ditched is a wonderful book that I highly recommend reading, you won’t be sorry you did. It’s a heartwarming and refreshing story that will have you laughing and smiling with a few OMG’s throw in. Kudos to R.C. Boldt on a job well done with “Ditched”.
Becket Jones is a quarterback for the NFL Jaguars. He’s a one of a kind man looking for his one of a kind woman. He doesn’t do one night stands or easy flings. He’s looking for the real thing, the problem is his life in the spotlight makes it hard for women to see past the fame and fortune. Becket wants a woman to see the sensitive side of him. Yeah, even his teammates give him grief when he voices it out loud. He’s a football player and shouldn’t have a sensitive side, but his mother raised him to be a gentleman. It’s why he’s still single and used his best friend, Emma Jane, for as long as he did. She was his partner for every publicity event, things were perfect, but then she had to go and get married. Oh, who was he kidding, he was happy for her. That left him back to single status and he’s only looking for love.
Ivy Hayes runs Ditched, a company that helps transition a smooth breakup. She doesn’t advertise, she doesn’t need to. Her business is successful by word of mouth and she has become quite good at her job. Why? She is a firm believer that relationships do not work. There is no such thing as love. When Ivy meets Becket Jones she not only doesn’t know who he is, but she is also intrigued by the intelligence of the man. Upfront she tells him she doesn’t do relationships, but Becket doesn’t take no for an answer. He sees a challenge, like a football game to be won, he strikes out to win Ivy’s heart, unfortunately Ivy plays hardball and when the score is all tied up will Becket go into overtime or will Ivy call game and leave Becket ditched?
Becket Jones – I have been anticipating his story since He Loves Me…Knox. Becket is sweet, caring, doting, the perfect book boyfriend emotionally, add on top of that and he is also ripped and rich.
Big sigh.
I’ve been crushing on him since he first appeared and can say that if Becket wasn’t fictional, I would have been stalking every social media account he owned. RC Boldt did not disappoint when she promoted Becket to his own book.
After wallowing in a Ditched hangover and trying my best to bask in the Becvy…Ivket…ok, the name melding thing totally doesn’t work for Becket and Ivy, but my point is, Ditched has it all and you will want to bask in it:
Great book boyfriend
Strong heroine
Sizzling chemistry that builds until it blazes hot
Intense plot line
Excellent secondary characters
Follow up on prior characters
Emotions that pull at your heart, funny bone, exasperation, and cheer with delight
Ditched is a total win, can’t put down, fall in love effortless read. (Although Becket may disagree with the effortless part.)
Everyone deserves the chance to find love. Even when they are too stubborn to reach for it. RC Boldt is tempting with her clever humor and heartwarming dialogue. Ivy doesn’t believe in love. She’s cynical when the heart is involved. No drama, heartbreak, or happily ever after is worth the pain love dishes out. Her motto: “Get in. Get out. Move on.” Becket may be a jock, but he’s a one woman guy. If only he could fine his forever girl. Ditched is the sauciest, sweetest, wake up call a girl could ever ask for. Boldt puts her best foot forward with a bit of role reversal and a ton of heart.
4.5 stars
Ditched is perfect. It’s the best and most unusual business idea. It’s Disney kind of perfect. Ivy, on the other hand, is a whole bag of contradictions and problems. But if any one can win the girl, its Becket Jones.
I seriously wanted Becket to be mine in He Loves Me…Knot. It’s impossible to not fall for the Adonis with a heart bigger than a Mack truck. I wanted to kidnap and keep him in Knot. In Ditched, he’s the leading man. Guess how much more swoon worthy that makes him? Beck becomes freaking Kryptonite to anyone with a pulse in this book.
It’s not just Beck though, the whole group of friends steals your heart. As RC Boldt has managed to prove repeatedly, she doesn’t hold back with love, zany friends, and smart mouths. I’m in love with the whole gang and can’t wait to see who might get…Hitched.

RC Boldt has scored a touchdown with Ditched! If you’re looking for a new book boyfriend, Becket Jones just might be the one!
I loved this book! It was a nice change to read about the man wanting the real-deal relationship. Becket’s got his work cut out for him with Ivy Hayes though!
Ivy’s in the business of helping people get out of relationships and she’s not one for any attachments with men. Can Becket be the one to get through the walls Ivy has put up? Or will he get Ditched?
So many feels with this one. I throughly enjoyed Ivy and Becket’s story. The side characters were awesome too!
I highly recommend Ditched. It had me from page one!
**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**
You met Becket in He Loves Me..Knot. This is his chance at love. I love how Becket’s best friend Emma Jane takes matters in her own hand to set Becket up for love. It is so cute how Ivy enters the picture. Ivy is simply a lovely mystery that you just hope can open her heart and find love. Ivy is such a strong lady and an amazing at what she does. Becket is just a sweetheart. I love him so much. I think he is my favorite out of all of RC Bolt’s men she has written yet. He is so swoon worthy. They are just perfect for each other. I love the goofy chemistry that is Ivy and Becket. I really couldn’t put this one down. It is so good. I’m so looking forward to Darcy and Dax.
Loved this well-written, sports romance with sexy AF Becket and Miss Anti-relationship Ivy.
Plenty of humor, so much heart, with enough steam to make a girl happy and satisfied.
That one scene…at the fundraiser…in the darkened storage room… where they were both super jealous? Lord have mercy. That was fucking hot. Seriously.
This was my second RC Boldt book (I know, I know…I need to read more!) and I look forward to reading more from her.
P.S. Great audiobook!
OH. MY. HEAVENS. THIS BOOK ya’ll!! I was completely consumed by Becket and Ivy. In fact, he’s pretty much my new book boyfriend. This man *swoon* This was a book I literally did nothing but immerse myself in. I didn’t even want to get up to fix food (I finally had a peanut butter and banana sandwich so I could easily keep reading while I ate something). And I had to leave my house with 15 minutes left in the book to adult for a bit, but I felt like I left my friends at home. Seriously! And when I came home to finish, this book stayed with me after The End.
I enjoyed how this book started and then the story had to go back to explain where it all began. The chapters were split by each character and I liked how this story evolved. I LOVED the way Ivy and Becket “meet”. Their story was realistic and captivating. In typical RC Boldt fashion, this book will make you laugh, swoon and this one even made me cry a little. It gave me ALL THE FEELS and I wasn’t ready to say good-bye to them. I don’t want to say too much and give this story away but I will tell you to RUN to grab this book. You won’t be disappointed!
I confess. I am in love with Becket Jones.
From beginning to end, this book was nothing but perfection. I fell in love with the characters right from the start, although I loved Becket already when he was first introduced in He Loves Me…KNOT. Of course I had high expectations but count on RC Boldt to deliver another great story that put a smile on my face for days. Thank you!
This story’s one of a kind. I was swooning, laughing, crying out of joy and sorrow, but foremost, I fell in love with the beautiful story of two very different people who went through the process of learning, accepting and adapting to difficult situations that had yet been unknown to them. Becket was as open, caring, loving and honest as can be whereas Ivy was used to close herself off and guard her heart with oppressing her feelings in order to keep from getting hurt. How these characters formed each other and were better people together was awe-inspiring.
Ha! And there I thought it would be hard to deliver the next book after the awesome story of HLMK. But I was proven wrong. Becket’s a total sweetie, which might sound strange considering his physique, but his characteristics had me swooning all over him. He was just such a charmer and had me eating out of his hand.
He’d totally make me reconsider my views on marriage and kids because they’re similar to Ivy’s, so I really connected with her, but for a guy like Becket I’d throw all caution to the wind and be all in with him. =P
I wish I could have wrapped myself in this book like in a blanket because I found myself in a real dilemma as this was an unputdownable book but at the same time I didn’t want it to end. I savored every word and the significance of highlighting got absolutely lost here, because there wasn’t much that I didn’t highlight. *HaHa* I really was at it again, highlighting the shit out of this book. What can I say?! I just loved it all.
I was head over heels in love with this story because Becket’s made to win and he definitely won my heart. Will he win yours too?!
I have been anxiously awaiting to read Becket’s story and once again RC Boldt wrote another hilarious and unforgettable five star book!!! Her writing just keeps getting better and better. What I love the most about RC Boldt’s books is that she always writes fantastic and unique story lines. We have the beautiful and lovely heroine, Ivy who is a professional breakup expert. That unique aspect grabbed my attention immediately. She’s strong, smart, independent and she drives a motorcycle which totally ROCKS.
And Becket…oh Becket the amazing, hot and sexy NFL quarterback. I adored him in He Loves Me Knot and he’s even better as the main character and the hero. He’s everything I wanted him to be and more. Ivy is very closed off and in no way does she want to be involved in a relationship. Becket is certainly up for the challenge to win her over. He’s such a lovable guy who’s supportive of Ivy and makes her a better person. His character is written so well as just an all around good guy (for example, the scenes with him and his nieces melted my heart).
The banter, dialogue and humor between Becket and Ivy not only made the book enjoyable but their connection and chemistry is solid. Ditched has the perfect combination of panty melting sex (two stand-out scenes… phone sex and the storage room…HOT DAMN), humor and romance. I want to be friends with all of these characters (the supporting characters Emma Jane, Dax, Darcy and Tank). Their contributions and dialogue made the book even better.
Ditched’s plot is concise, straight forward and there is a twist that I didn’t see coming at all. The ending is very swoon worthy which had me in tears of joy and cheering. The epilogue is the perfect bow on a beautifully wrapped gift that ties it all together. Ditched is definitely a one-click worthy and must read book that you will devour immediately!!
Oh my words where do i begin with this one. Beckett is a walking dream all in one. He has the looks, job, wants to hold and care for babies. He’s the sweet talker. He’s just everything you could dream of and thats the thing Ivy does NOT want any of it. She ones a company called Ditched and yes its exactly like the name she helps people ditch their relationships. But when she meets Beckett her world gets turned all around. This book was fantastic I could not put it down at all!! I would recommend reading it to all my friends!!
It’s fun, sweet and heartwarming story. It will captivate you from the beginning as it takes you through all sorts of emotions. You will absolutely love the characters. I enjoyed the connection and the chemistry is sexy and steamy. It’s an entertaining read and not to be missed.
This is my first R.C. Boldt book and I now get why everyone raves about her stories! It most definitely will not be my last.
We meet Ivy Hayes. She is the owner of her own business – Ditched – where she helps others out of relationships. And she is most definitely anti-relationships. Until Becket Jones…
“He’s the first man to incite that feeling within me- like he’s the magnet and I’m the polarized metal.”
Becket Jones is the star quarterback, but he is so much more than that. He is just a nice guy. I adored watching him break down Ivy’s walls one by one. He was amazing with his nieces, his puppy, and his best friend, Blue.
This story was funny! I laughed out loud numerous times. It was sweet and sexy. It was full of life and love. I enjoyed every second of it and can’t wait to read more from Ms. Boldt! (4 stars)
I first met Becket as Emma Jane’s male best friend in He Love Me….KNOT. I knew then that there was a lot more to him and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on his story. He was just so fantastic! I totally loved him. And now I am head over heals in love with this man! Ivy is the woman that he is interested in, but she doesn’t do relationships…its all about the sex with her. But we all know Becket wants more! So it is now his mission to get her into “more” with him!
Some of the things that he says to her really are above and beyond swoon-worthy! I can not even begin to tell you how may times I felt my heart flutter! There was some good old fashioned unfulfilled sexual tension. (more like delayed gratification) There were some jaw dropping twists in the story. And I cried!!! Oh did I cry! If I could give this book more than 5 I really would! I expected great things from this story and I was NOT disappointed! You don’t even need to read He Loves Me….Knot to love Becket and this story (but it really would be better if you did because that is a great book too!)
