BECKET JONES
As an NFL quarterback, endorsement ads and the media pandering after me are all part of the game.
Ivy Hayes is the first woman who doesn’t care about my money and the notoriety that goes along with it.
But I’m a long-term guy, and she operates strictly in the now. Which means I need to bring my A-game.
Otherwise, I’ll end up getting ditched.

Ditched is fun, witty, and unexpected. I loved R.C. Boldt’s voice from the first page to the last. Endearing characters and a perfectly paced storyline made this a winning, five-star sports romance. I highly recommend it.
I love everything this woman writes, but this was amazing. To make an uncoordinated geek like me love a sports romance, you know it has to be top notch! Do yourself a favor and grab this one ASAP!
This was my very first RC Boldt book and I loved every minute of it. It was perfect from the beginning to the end and I can’t wait to dive into more of Rc’s books! Sports romances isn’t typically the kind of books I would normally choose, but this book mixed the right amount of sports and romance together to keep me interested. Becket is book boyfriend material 100%! ~ Tisha
Absolutely loved Ditched. Becket stole my heart with his golden heart, smarts, wits, humor and honorable ways. There was just no way to not fall in love with him. No wonder Ivy could not resist, either
Ivy Hayes is in the business of breaking up relationships or, better said, of helping people break up relationships smoothly, avoiding drama and moving on without the sometimes nasty consequences of a breakup. She also doesn’t believe in relationships and has only been in “mutually beneficial arrangements” since her days in college.
Becket Jones is as public as they come. The beloved QB of an NFL team and poster child for charity work and lots of endorsement deals, he hasn’t been in a relationship for a while as he wants to be loved for who he is not the dollar sign attached to his name.
Becket and Ivy will meet under unusual circumstances, but when he realizes she doesn’t have an actual clue of who he is and has no interest in digging it out, that will only make her all the more attractive to him. Unfortunately, she’s not in the same wagon and he’ll have to work hard to get her to see his way.
I fell in love with Becket Jones when he first met Emma Jane. I honestly wanted her to drop Knox and get it on with Becket, but now I’m glad she didn’t because, oh sweet Jesus in Heaven…Becket and Ivy. *sigh*
Becket is the ultimate good guy looking for his one and only. He doesn’t want a hook up, loves children and is devoted to his team and his friends. He’s a “what you see is what you get” kind of guy and he’ll make sure Ivy knows from day one. Ivy, on the other hand, is a product of child neglect and abuse, ending up in foster care and her only emotional attachments are her foster sister and their friend and partner in business Leif.
I’ve really liked everything I’ve read by the author thus far, but Ditched is definitely something special. I loved the story, the delivery and the characters, even Ivy, as difficult as she was with her secrecy and hold backs. Becket is the ultimate book boyfriend, a man so full of love and ready to pass it on you can’t help but falling in love with him over and over again.
4.5 loving stars
Boldt just gets better and better at giving me what I want in a book! I can’t get enough of her witty and passionate characters. I have been wanting a Becket book for some time now. It was definitely worth the wait.
I don’t usually do book boyfriends, but Becket… Give me a minute while I swoon. *sigh* Becket is definitely on the shortlist for my book boyfriends. If my husband would give me a “pass”, I would want Becket to fill that role!
And Ivy? Her character is definitely one of those female characters I can really say is the perfect leading lady in a story. Strong. Smart. Successful. Resourceful. She is most certainly a perfect match for Becket.
This story had me swooning, laughing, and cheering all the way through. Boldt hit the nail with her little twist. I definitely wasn’t expecting it. There were little hints throughout the book. I knew a shoe of some kind would drop. It was definitely one of those that fit perfectly into the story.
If you only read one of Boldt’s books, make it this one. This way, you will want to pick up the rest. I can only end this saying one thing… Seventh inning stretch.
I loved Ditched. I’ve loved Becket ever since reading He Loves Me…Knot and I couldn’t wait for his book to be written. He is such a sweet, big hearted and amazing guy that loves kids. I’m glad Becket and Ivy gave each other a shot even if the way they met was totally crazy. Lol. They are such a perfect match. I don’t want to give anything away so I’ll just say I look forward to reading what Mrs. Boldt writes next. I’m hoping it’ll be Darcy’s (Ivy’s sister) book.
I absolutely loved Ditched , the story of Ivy and Becket had me feeling all kinds of tingling feelings!
Mr. Becket Jones has it all going on. A star athlete , handsome , caring , giving and sensitive. He has everything except that one true person to love him for himself ..true love.
Ivy is a product of her environment she does not believe in relationships and certainly not true love or soul mates. Growing up in foster care has made her jaded although it has given her skills and talents in breaking off relationships that are not right for you . She has developed her business on that concept . Help others break away unscathed from toxic or not right people . Ditched has become quite the sought after company she is discrete and does her best to assist all her clients to the break up needs . What happens when two opposites meet and everything you thought you knew changes ! I truly fell in love with Becket and his loving nurturing ways. As not to scare Ivy away he teaches her to take baby steps and never asks for more than he feel that she can handle !!
Loved it !!

This right here is why I started my journey on this book blog! To read new to me authors and fall in love with their stories!
RC Boldt is a new to me author and I feel in love with this story, Ditched.
This story of Ivy and Becket and oh what a story they have to tell.
Ivy has a horrible past, and you see glimpses of it when reading but don’t get the whole story until it’s revealed in an epic way! Ivy turned out to be indepent, feisty and loyal to her “family”. She overcame her upbringing to become more.
Becket, quarterback, humourous, closet nerd, the accolades could go on forever! He is what a true alpha hero should be! He too has had some struggle and heartbreak and has overcome brilliantly.
Becket and Ivy’s chemistry is off the charts! They both struggle in their own ways to get what they want out of each other and RC really brings you into their world!
The secondary characters are fantastic, loved Becket’s teammates and the humor that they bring is terrific! I love a funny romance and this book has it in spades!
Readers, if you love a fast paced, can’t put it down book, Get Ditched by RC Boldt!
You have garnered yourself another fan RC and I am going to be putting your past books on my TBR list! Thank you for your words!!
There’s only one thing to say about Ditched by RC Boldt. She freaking knocked this one out of the park! I usually can tell from the first few chapters if I’m going to like a book, but with this one, I knew from the first few lines of the prologue.
Ivy doesn’t do relationships at all, so she certainly doesn’t think happily ever after is in her future. But, she is okay with that. In fact, she has a business, Ditched, that helps you break up with someone. It isn’t ugly or emotional. She takes all of that out of the equation, doing it with tact and class. Shoot, she even makes the person being ditched feel better after the break up. A chance meeting will soon make her think about her own future, and she may even get her own HEA.
Becket is a NFL quarterback and very successful at it. He has endorsements and people adore him. But, along with that fame, comes people who only care about his wealth and status, not him. So, he is very cautious when it comes to relationships. When his best friend, Blue, shoots him a text with the number of a girl, Ivy, that she thinks he will love, he is hesitant. He soon relents and texts Ivy, and a friendship and budding relationship begins. Becket will be in the fight for his life, and it will be much harder than the Super Bowl, because it’s Ivy’s heart he wants as the prize.
As with other books I have read from RC Boldt, she knows exactly how to build her characters, and I fall in love with every single one of them. Ivy is beautiful, smart, and intelligent. She has worked hard for her success and especially hard at forgetting her past and moving forward. However, the past always catches up to you, and hers is rapidly approaching. She is so sincere and kind to others, but she lets very few in her inner circle. Becket definitely doesn’t give up easily. She makes it difficult. She will only allow him to get so close to her before she backs away. I admired the fact that she was upfront and honest about her take on relationships, but that doesn’t really help when Beckett has lost his heart to her.
Becket immediately melted my heart. Yes, he is a sport superstar, but he has a nerdy side too which made him more irresistible to me. So much of that comes across when he and Ivy are first texting and talking to one another. He is 100 percent committed to Ivy if she will just give her heart to him. I knew he would cherish and protect it with his own.
I was glad to see Blue and Knox again, and I loved seeing how the friendship with Becket changed and became even deeper. Ivy had her own inner circle of friends who became a big part of her story as well. There are a few surprises I didn’t see coming, but Boldt did a great job of building up to that.
This romance had pretty much everything I love…toe-curling romance, a hero who melted my heart, a strong heroine, and a fantastic story!!! All those combined flawlessly to make this a PERFECT read for me!
***Read and Reviewed for Devilishly Delicious Book Reviews***
I literally just finished Ditched….and I’m still trying to process how absolutely amazing this book was.
Becket Jones….sound familiar???? We had our first introduction of him in He Loves Me….Knot…..first, I was so HAPPY to realize Ditched was his Book!
Ivy Hayes…..beautiful, strong, independent woman who is a survivor but has a past that has shaped her.
And yes….Becket is part of my Book Boyfriend Harem now. He has upped the ante for all my future BBF…….. “God, Ivy……..You Undo Me”……welcome Becket to my harem.
Ms. Boldt’s ability to draw you, the reader, into the story is pure perfection. Ditched is a must #oneclick and then go ahead and one click everything she has written.

Ivy along with her foster sister, Darcy and friend, Leif found a successful nitch with their business Ditched. If you have a relationship that has run it’s course and you’re not sure how to end things gracefully, without drama, without backlash Ditched is who you call.
Becket Jones is NFL guarterback. This guy is not the typical big headed, strut their stuff sports star. He’s very down to earth. Super nice guy and to put the cherry on top he’s very good looking. ~sigh~
Due to her past Ivy does not do relationships and avoids the limelight at all cost. Becket is the opposite in regards to relationships. He’s doesn’t do one night stands.
I absolutely love the banter between these two. I also love the way Becket actually ‘sees’ Ivy and knows when to push and not to push.
As you read along you get trickles of Ivy’s past but you know there’s more to it and when she comes out in the open with it I was gutted for her but I was also so very proud of her of no longer letting it control her life and any possible future she has.
I also feel the secondary characters really added to this story. Blue is my girl!
When their present blows up they have to either work together or getting ditched.
This is the type of book I absolutely love. As I read along it just kept getting better and better.
Just going to put a thought out there….it would be awesome if Darcy has a story that involves either Dax or Tank.
Ivy Hayes comes from the same place as Dolly Parton. She reminded me that I have that place on my bucket list – will have to place it closer to the top. She could be considered a true entrepreneur since she started her business while still going to school. And working with friends is a nice perk. But on the flip side, what they do for a living seems to be sad even though in the long run they are helping people.
Becket Jones is man whose job could be considered totally opposite of Ivy’s. But where her job hurts someone, his entertains – ok his hurts too but his is physical where hers is mental. It was just so hard to imagine these two having things in common enough to start a relationship and then to maintain said relationship. But this is one good thing about our author – she somehow twists the story to show that it can work. She doesn’t give up on her characters.
I found myself coming to enjoy the secondary characters here. Becket has a couple of nieces that know just what to do when it comes to scene stealing. Then we have a couple where the wife thinks that Ivy will be perfect for her friend. It left me wanting to go back and read their book, He Loves Me…Knot, again. This was one downside for me. I started looking out for the secondary characters to carry this story along. And I had such high hopes for Becket after meeting him previously. But overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and I got the perfect happy ending.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I totally fell in love with Becket Jones and I have been waiting for his story! Becket is the whole package. Fun, sexy, he gives back to the community ten-fold, does anything and everything for his friends and family. Becket is not out looking for the next hook-up, he’s looking for the woman who could be the ONE. He’s the ultimate dream guy.
Ivy is not relationship material and she is in no way looking for the ONE. She runs a company called Ditched and helps people to make their way out of the relationship that no longer works for them. There is a lot to Ivy, yet not too many people know the real her. Ivy’s walls are built tall and are extra thick to keep any closeness of a potential relationship at bay.
Yet once Becket and Ivy meet, he seems to take those walls down brick by brick. But when Ivy’s past comes into their future, all bets are off on who is really about to get Ditched.
I truly enjoyed every minute of this book. Becket is the dream guy, plain and simple and I loved how he took his time with Ivy and seemed to know what she needed to feel safe and loved. The banter between them was funny, sexy and the chemistry was simply perfect. At some points though, I was extremely aggravated with Ivy as I thought we’d never find out what was the underlying issue of her not be able to get close to Becket. When it finally came to light, WOW.
Ditched is the perfect read with a ton of heart with just a little bit of angst that will just make your heart so full in the end!
Ditched by R.C. Boldt is a sports romance. Becket is a quarterback that doesn’t look for one night stands. He is looking for a woman to have a meaning relationship with. Ivy had a rough childhood. She doesn’t believe in relationships. In fact, she makes a living helping people ditch the person they are dating.
What happens when Becket and Ivy meet? This is a book you do not want to miss. It is a must read!! Get yours today.
Ditched is one of those sports romances that resonates within you well after you’ve finished reading it. The captivating storyline delivers so much within it’s pages – from heart-warmth to heartache, passion to pain, and fear to freedom. This unique and incredibly well-written book packs a punch to the feels with it’s humor, chemistry, and passion.
The characters of Becket and Ivy bring a diverse outlook on how sports romances are portrayed. Both have tragic and painful pasts, which propel them into the people they’ve become. But where one’s learned contentment and acceptance, the other has learned bitterness and avoidance. Becket and Ivy’s relationship together is definitely not without its faults, but their deep connection and allure towards each other brings hope that a past full of hardships and pain can be overcome with the right person by their side.
This was an outstanding read! Like the author’s previous books, this story has the power to bring out an array of emotions. Comedy, drama, and sweet and sexy romance are just a few qualities that lie within. A highly recommended must read you won’t be able to put down!
4.5 Stars!
I just knew the minute I met Becket in He Loves Me…KNOT that he was a character I needed more of. He stole the show with his charm, but no worries both can easily be read as standalone!
Ivy makes a living by helping others get “ditched”. The last thing she ever saw coming was her not wanting to be ditched. Only Becket. He has one liners that could make any woman swoon. Ivy will be a tough nut to crack since she does have some trust issues, but if any man is up to the challenge, it is Becket.
“I have trust issues with people who abstain from carbs.”
I just adore RC’s writing and I am so glad I found her books. Every book I read of hers, I fall deeper in love with her words. “Only Love”
It’s been a while since I’ve LMAO and ugly cried in equal amount while reading a story, but Ditched definitely got me.
It was a crazy emotional rollercoaster. Ivy and Becket just clicked. Their personalities did so well together, even though they were pretty much opposites on that end. Ivy was a strong heroine, running from her demons and making a better life for herself. Becket might be my favorite hero. He’s sexy, a bit alpha, and has this sense of humor that will make you swoon.
Becket’s teammates had me cracking up with their antics. If there was a scene that included them, I knew I was in for lots of laughing.
Ivy’s past is heartbreaking, and the only thing I wish was that the person who put her through hell ended up 6 feet under. We can hope!
A phenomenal read that I hope we will get more stories out of, that I definitely recommend.
RC did it again!!! Another fabulous book!
I was so hoping that Beckett would get a book of his own! The book did not dissappoint!
Beckett is a football player who likes to give back and help his friends when needed. When his quirky friend EJ gives his number to a stranger what was he to do but go with it!
Ivy is an entrepreneur living the dream helping people get Ditched. A stranger insists that she would be perfect for her BFF. Ivy is not in the market for a relationship. She does not do relationships.
Will Beckett be able to break through the tough armor of her heart? Will Ivy be able to stay out of the spotlight? Will secrets break them or free them?
Can’t say enough about this book! RC Boldt did an amazing job yet again! I can not wait for more! Love her books!
If you’ve been paying any attention to all the fangirling I’ve been doing on our blog Facebook page these last few weeks, you already know that I’ve been insanely excited to get my hands on Becket Jones. Er. His story. And gaaaahhhhdddd, you guys! He did not disappoint.
I was already pretty much head over heels for Becket after reading He Loves Me…KNOT (which is where I first met Becket, but it does not have to be read before reading this one), and so DITCHED basically just finished the job. Football players are my kryptonite, but the fact that this one is also kind, smart, and funny is just…oof. Impossible not to love! Impossible! Add in a broken heroine who, like me, can’t seem to resist the charms of our entirely swoonworthy hero – no matter how hard she tries – and I was hooked. Immediately hooked. Immediately taken with these two and their beautifully written love story.
I felt like the formula here was just right. This is a sports romance – but it’s not terribly sporty (so those of you who think you don’t know enough about football to read this book, fear not! You’ll be fine!). There are some deeply emotional moments but they’re tempered by some lighthearted laugh-out-loud moments (and Becket’s teammates provide plenty of comic relief)! There’s a little thread of mystery running through the story that kept me wondering, and I truly had no idea what to expect when the plot twists started dropping. The whole thing – it all just felt like the perfect package.
And then the ending?
You know how sometimes you finish a book and you feel a sort of euphoric high? Like your heart is racing and you can’t wipe the smile off your face and you literally feel a sort of rush through your bloodstream? Yeah. That happened here. It was SO GOOD. And now, frankly, I’m a little bit sad that there’s no more Becket Jones in my life. He’s amazing. This story is fantastic and RC Boldt has knocked another one out of the park! Er, wait. She’s run another one into the end zone!
