When I say this book was everything, I mean it. This book will suck you in and hold you tight. This has angst and a surprise around every corner. It was heartbreaking at many times but this story was so good to me. I am used to more steamy books and to be honest this was so good I didn’t realize there was no sex scenes in the entire book. The narration was so amazing and brought all the emotions I believe Stacy Eaton wanted the reader to feel. This is highly recommended! I did receive it free but would most definitely pay for it.

Fantastic Story & Narration Riveting & Heartfelt!
Distorted Loyalty By: Stacy Eaton
Narrated by: Marie Rose, Chris Chamberlain
Wow, this book is awesome, the story is completely enthralling and mind-blowing at time. Stacy Eaton is a gifted author, I enjoy her writing style and ability to create interesting stories that are original and complex. The characters are well developed, they are realistic and easy to connect with. Rachel Wilde, an ER doctor is holiday shopping with her teenage son Josh, Josh is crushing on a girl in school and he wants his Mom to help pick out a gift for her. They wind up seeing the girl, Jazlyn, who is out shopping with her father Grant. When Rachel hears a scream and sees that a woman was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot she reacts immediately and runs to save her, Josh assists her too. Unfortunately there was not much she could do to save her and she died in the ER. Grant and Jazlyn were on the scene, they knew the victim, it was his wife Ilana, Jazlyn’s mother. Heartbroken, Grant lashes out and accuses Rachel for not giving it her all to save. Grant is a bit lost, he depended on his wife to do just about everything including the bills, when he sees discrepancies in bills and new credit card charges his wife made he learns she was having an affair. After some mind twisting events he learns who she was having an affair with and what her plans were. I loved how everything plays out in this book , the story is cleverly plotted, Stacy Eaton masterfully intertwined six lives and the details are chilling at times. My heart broke for the characters and what they had to endure, loss and deception. Was it fate that stepped in, were Rachel and Grant meant to be? There is plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, heartfelt and emotional moments in this book, it is the type of book you can not out down because you need to know what happens next. Stacy Eaton, thank you for another fantastic book and emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Mari Rose and Chris Chamberlain are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They did a great job portraying and humanizing the characters, giving each their own voice and personality. They truly grasped their character’s persona and sounded as I pictured them to sound. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture the characters emotions and project them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and their duet performance is enjoyable and enhances the story for your listening pleasure. Thank you for the fabulous listen
I have come to love listening/reading the stories of this talented author. Why? Because her plots are not only engaging, but also because the complex characters are perfect in their imperfection. Individuals facing adversity and somehow , after a great deal of struggles , overcome them .
In this case, Dr. Rachel Wilde and police detective Grant Murphy meet by chance and discover that their children are friends. An attraction is there, but both are married and would not cross the line.
But an accident, loss of a loved one and more deaths, shots and revelations shattered not only their lives , but also that of those around them.
To whom are you loyal, when what you thought was the truth were merely lies and cover-ups. Hard to digest since both Grant and Rachel are straight forward individuals.
This story was emotional , touching, at times heartbreaking, but also filled with hope and love.

This story is really well written and fast-paced. We are following Rachel and Grant since their first encounter. They share an instant attraction, but they’re already married. After a first drama, their life is intertwined. The storyline is filled with drama, misunderstandings, lies, betrayal, secrets revealed and love. I liked their HEA. I also liked the secondary characters, Jazlyn and Josh. The duet narration was really well done, entertaining and easy to listen. This was an emotional listen. She thought she understood love. Turns out she knew nothing at all. I was drawn to Distorted Loyalty by two things. The complicated plot and the dual narration. Stacy Eaton weaves an intricate tale of betrayal, pain and new beginnings that is realistically profound. Rachel and Grant are caught up in a firestorm. There is no dousing the flames of emotional revelations, temptation and heartache headed their way. Rose and Chamberlain are a dynamic duo when it comes to tugging at the heart.
