Being vulnerable makes you a target. Pax knows this all too well. He doesn’t want to need a hero, but the green-eyed biker that keeps rescuing him anyway has him sliding into dangerous territory—namely, Mace’s bed. Mace is the Sergeant-at-Arms of the St. Louis Iron Heretics MC—treading through volatile situations is all in a days work. At the end of the day, he knows better than to let his heart … his heart rule out over his head, but Pax is an anomaly he can’t shake loose.
When a threat returns, taking aim at Pax and disrupting the balance they’ve reached, Mace has to recalibrate his sights, bringing what he truly wants into focus. Unfortunately for them, danger doesn’t always stay dead.
Disrupt is the first book in the Iron Heretics MC series. It can be read as a stand-alone and features no cliffhanger, no cheating, and a HEA.

Really enjoyed Mace and Pax’s story even thought I felt a little lost when I started reading the story because I had only read JJ’s and Cleave’s story, but right away I was pulled right into this fast reading well written book, and now I am looking forward to meeting more of the guys from the Iron Heretic’s MC club, because I just know there are some great stories to come.
You know, I think this was actually kinda sweet. Within the time after both Pax and Mace have been hurt, they had the opportunity to slowly know each other better, to easily get under each other’s skin. I liked the fact there was no urgency to do the deed, if you know what I mean. Instead there was so much tenderness, gentle touches, and acceptance of the fact they’ve found the perfect man to trust their hearts to.
They obviously needed the peace they found in each other’s arms, because their lives were still in danger. I liked the way the author kept the suspense going, although I was sorry to see Leith caught up in the middle of it and hurt. I feared for them, but all the ”brothers” have been just as amazing as I’ve grown to know them, jumping into danger, ready to do everything in their power to help.
I love the group of people Michelle Frost has written for the Iron Heretics and their friends. Counting Pax and Mace, I think there are four wonderful romances, four couples already formed within their ranks. Can’t wait for the next one, and all my fingers are crossed, hoping it’ll be daddy Axel and Leith’s turn.
Swoons all around
“I’ll stay as long as you like.” I’d live forever with these guys if I could. I love, love, love the Iron Heretics! What a tremendous and amazing family they are. They’re also wonderfully generous and protective of the ones they care about. They all make swoon so hard, especially Mace and Pax. These two are sweet, tender and have smoking hot chemistry that will make you melt. Add in a few suspenseful twists from the sneaky but talented Michelle Frost and you have a book that you won’t be able to put down. I devoured this and ooh, I am so looking forward to Calix’s story. If it goes the way I think, it’s gonna be a doozie. Don’t be a lone wolf. Read this series now.
A bad-ass, very handsome biker who saved and stayed with him during one of the worst times in his life. Pax has been harboring feelings for Mace ever since that day, or maybe even before. They bonded over that particular nightmare though.
Mace has tried not to have feelings for anyone he meets and likes. But somehow Pax just burrowed himself into his heart and he couldn’t care less. He knows that Pax feels the same way too.
I love these kinds of storylines because there is action, mystery and so much hotness. With a lot of attractive men in the story, you can’t help but be in love and root for them. I am truly looking forward to the rest of the series! Thank you Ms. Michelle Frost!
Moving story of strength, love and claiming a loving future. I really loved these characters and how they really treated each other with kindness, thoughtfulness and tenderness. Writing is great and the story-line flowed. I am so enjoying the Iron Heretics universe.
Pax and Mace are all things amazing. They are steamy, caring, creative and fun. They took their time to come together physically. Mace is this big amazing man who will do what it takes to protect those he chooses as family. Paz had been though torture and he grew up having no one to trust nor care for him. Needing to learn that Mace will choose him and be there for him was a beautiful journey.
This is book one of the Iron Heretics MC series and i am so looking forward to more books!
As a first book in the series, this title definitely does a great job of inviting you in to read more!
We get a pair of very intriguing MCs, a setting that brings a lot of moral ambiguity into the mix, and a lot of intense emotions to complete the picture. It all combines into a very interesting story.
I’ll gladly follow the series to see what’s next!
Mace is a Sergeant at Arms for the Iron Heretics MC. Pax was an escort at Spritz who liked his job but now he is a bartender at Spritz. Pax was tortured by a man that wanted information on Arden his best friend, Mace happen to go to Pax’s apartment after the incident and sees the damage done and promises Pax he will find the man and delivery retribution.
I loved the dynamic between Pax and Mace. Mace is protective and in tune with the more reserved Pax who is still affected by being tortured. They are so sweet and adorable together and when they physically stepped up their relationship Mace let Pax takes control which was so hot.
I most definitely recommend this book!!!
Iron Heretics MC is motorcycle club. It’s not the usual homophobic club, quite the contrary.
Mace is the sergeant at arms of the club. He’s in charge of the security, former marine, he uses his talents for his brothers. When he met Pax, the young man was badly hurt. Mace made a promised to never let anyone hurt him again.
Pax works for an exclusive gay club run by the MC. After being tortured a year ago by a rival of the club, Pax is still traumatized and refused to get involved with a man… But Mace is still here, still watching him, and Pax doesn’t want to resist Mace more.
Disrupt by Michelle Frost is the first book in the Iron Heretics Mc series. I loved it. I loved this book, the characters and the universe. I loved the plot, and even if the event didn’t happen in this book, I didn’t have any difficulties to follow. It was well written; Pax and Mace are wonderful together. It’s not the stereotype damsel in distress who need to be rescue. Even if Pax is traumatized, he isn’t weak, and Mace didn’t treat it like a biker babe or little princess. I loved that.
The secondary characters were awesome, and I look forward to reading more about them.
It’s definitely a series that I will follow, and I happily recommend it to every biker’s lovers like me.
I thoroughly enjoyed Pax and Mace’s story.
I love the protectiveness of these MC guys. I love their comradery and sense of family-ness.
Disrupt is the first full novel in Michelle Frost’s Iron Heretics MC series, however there are 2 short stories that are also a must to read!
We met Pace in the other short stories, but it was great seeing a kinder, softer side to him. His love for Pax was beautiful to watch.
I can wait for more in this series!!
I can’t get enough of this amazing MC world that Michelle Frost has created. It is full of larger than life men with such big hearts. There is no way the reader can resist falling in love with these characters.
Mace and Pax couldn’t appear to be more opposite from each other yet they are absolutely perfect together. Mace sees that Pax is so much stronger than he gives himself credit for. Pax sees beyond the outer appearance of Mace to the inner, loving man. The counter balance each other perfectly.
What would an MC story be with out danger, intrigue and a lot of action. Disrupt has that plus so much more. I loved all the secondary characters that make up this found family. This story will keep you turning pages until you sadly reach the end. This was a one sitting read and I can’t wait for what comes next.
This MC romance was gritty with a touch of suspense and a very pretty happily ever after ending. Mace and Pax were both complex characters with tough backgrounds who survived an ordeal that brought them close together as friends even though both wanted more from the start. However they had to heal a bit before falling in love and having a happily ever after. I cannot wait for more books in this series and to hopefully catch glimpses of the couples we already know and love.
We jump in after an incredibly significant event takes place (found in Cold Light, apparently) and as I didn’t previously read how Pax and Mace meet, there was a small feeling of being behind the curve at the outset. What I appreciated was the snippet we get into the depth and level of commitment Mace held toward Pax and his trauma. That tenderness and fierceness was carried very well throughout this story and I liked that it gave a basis for deeper attraction and emotion that followed.
The connection between both men was believable and the pacing of their romantic relationship was appropriate for the men as individuals and the flow of the overall story itself. Both worked together well as the drama unfolded around them and the gifts of trust and love were supported.
This is a standalone in terms of seeing a beginning and a promise between these particular characters, but the motivations, actions, and consequences of events surrounding them and the MC they’re affiliated with necessitate reading more of this and the connected “parent” story, Cold Light. While not a light-hearted story in the least, the romance felt lighter and sweeter than I was expecting and gave a warmth that was definitely needed in contrast to the darker elements that surrounded them all. I like where this series is going and the attitudes of the MC members so it’s safe to say I’ll be back for more of the Iron Heretics MC and the men they come to love.
