Yet another wonderful story!
Although again left at edge of my seat waiting for answers. Of course the sign of a captivating writer. Excited to see how these interlaping lives continue to unfold!
I have mentioned before the beauty of D. Fischer’s prose. One of the things I haven’t mentioned is how truly vivid her descriptive passages really are. After reading many of her books I often feel as if I have watched them unfold rather than just reading words on a page. This book left me with that feeling. If you only discover one new author this year, you can’t go wrong picking D. Fischer!
“I guess it’s what the King of the Dead gets if he twitches his nose and toots magic from his ass.”- Dyson Coleman
What a ride! Holy cow. Let’s see if I can write a review that does this story justice while my heart continues to pound against my chest.
Disobedient is book 2 in the Rise of the Realms series. You MUST read book one in order to understand what’s going on. It is not a standalone.
In book 1, we are introduced to the main characters and told their story. It’s explained how they got to where they are, etc. In this book, the climax of the series begins to build and things, and people, start to come together. The plot thickens and the main problem becomes more prominent. Something’s brewing and you are struggling to try and figure out how it’s all going to work out. You are plastered to the pages, hoping and praying that everything is going to work out.
This world is vast, the characters complex. This story spans across five different realms and follows several different main characters. Now, one would think that would get confusing and hard to keep track of, but it’s not. Ms. Fischer knows how to tie everything in together, how to change perspectives so smoothly that it’s easy to follow.
The story pulls you in from the first page and it just refuses to let go. The tension builds and builds throughout the book. It’s action packed and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It’s an amazing story for anyone interested in Fantasy/Paranormal. If you haven’t started reading this series yet, I highly recommend it!
5 out of 5 stars!
Oh wow! This was thrilling. Heart-pounding. I didn’t want to put it down! This is masterful storytelling at its best! I can’t wait to see what fates await for Timber, Kat, Aiden, Dyson, and Eliza! I loved it and am looking forward to the next book!
Just like book 1, I couldn’t put this one down either. I can’t wait to read book 3 soon! I love the writing and the easy flow of words. So imaginative and creative, which fills all my favorite fantasies to read.
KICKIN’ IT UP A FEW!!!
Whoa baby. Talk about hitting the ground running. This is one exciting, fast paced, action packed, nerve racking, pulse racing, heart pounding, nailbiting, page turning bombshell that captivates from the start. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, ins and outs, along with a few unexpected surprises and circumstances that alter their immediate plans. Following along on their journey as things really start heating up. The characters are well developed, believable and complex. Their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it’s easy to see each scenario as they play off one another perfectly. Fischer did an excellent job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Fischer, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
