I knew falling for him was wrong. I did it anyway, his half smiles and blue eyes pulling me deeper. Blue eyes that made me soar. He wasn’t mine to keep, though. And like all good and rare things, it came to an end. Then he strolls into my life, armed with dimples and gray eyes. Gray eyes that ground me. He smashes through my defenses, stealing what is left of my heart. Now my heart is a war zone, … is a war zone, past and present battling for my forever.
They say lightning doesn’t strike the same place twice. I call bullshit on that theory.

This is the second book in this amazing trilogy, and a continuation of Grace and Sol’s tale. This story is more intense than the 1st novel, and concentrates more on Grace as she tries to move on post Sol, when Levi is brought into the mix. Levi works hard to break through the walls Grace has build up, but will he ever be number one in her life? No spoilers; this is a must read! This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster ride throughout, and with twists and emotion which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. After that cliffy I cannot wait for the final part of this trilogy!
Nooooooooo… just No how could you leave it there Autumn Grey ?????
Book two finds Sol and Grace separated and dealing with the consequences of their actions and decisions. For me this book focused more on Grace and how she’s coping without Sol. We get to see another side of her which I loved. She’s slowly rebuilding herself and making new friends, going to college. Seeing her self confidence grow was empowering. Sol is still in turmoil constantly second guessing if he’s made the right decision.
This book was more emotional for me than the previous one. All those feelings of regret, of lost love, of opening up to another person were portrayed perfectly. Then we have the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers. Well played Autumn well played.
Disgraceful is the second book in the Grace trilogy. Sol’s decision to go into the priesthood has Grace heartbroken. In comes Levi and everything becomes even more complicated. The story is very emotional and full of trepidations. I keep on flip flopping between Sol and Levi, so glad that I’m not in Grace’s shoes. The story does end in a cliffhanger, the next installment cannot come soon enough. Excellent job Ms. Grey!
This book had me on an emotional roller coaster. I was so torn for a lot of the book. Torn between what I wanted the outcome to be VS what I thought was the best outcome for the characters. I feel like I know them and I need them to get their HEA. I kept getting so angry at them, then they’d make me cry, then laugh, then I’d forgive them. Gah – I’m all kinds of messed up right now.
And that ending!
Disgraceful was a rollercoaster between teenagers love.. Sol-Grace-Levin. The story was progressing with a slow burn and boy.. It was difficult to choose.. I loved the diversity, the confusion between feelings.. and Autumn knew how to spin a good story..
After reading Desolate I couldn’t get my hands soon enough on the sequel Disgraceful, which is book #2 in the Grace Trilogy. And let me tell you that it was a hell of an emotional roller-coaster. I’m still recovering from all the angst and heartbreak Autumn Grey put me through! If you think that you already know in which direction this story goes, then let me warn you that you will be majorly surprised. Things will get much more complicated than expected, leaving you with a big bang at the end and your jaw on the floor.
Disgraceful starts off right where we were left after Desolate, where Grace leaves Sol, breaking their both hearts in the process. She always knew that falling for him was wrong, but she did it anyway. Grace wants to be Sol’s first and only choice, but she also knows how much his faith means to him and that she can’t keep him away from his calling as a priest.
After taking a much needed trip to Europe to clear her head, Grace returns back home in order to start her classes at the university. This is where she meets someone.
Even though she’s not ready to put herself back into the dating scene, she can’t deny the pull she feels towards him. After all, his dimples, gray eyes and charming personality are hard to resist. Just when things seem to have taken a certain course, Sol suddenly shows up out of the blue ready to fight for her. Now Grace’s heart and mind are a war zone where past and present are battling for her forever…
Oh boy did this love triangle consume me! I was constantly torn between team Sol and team “other guy”. After all, I never thought that I would like somebody else with Grace too. To be honest, I couldn’t hate the other guy, no matter how much I tried! He was very likeable, sweet and funny. Of course I still love Sol with all my heart and soul. This poor guy deserves happiness more than anybody else!
Let me be clear that I didn’t blame Grace for falling for another guy. Sol was and is the love of her life. She could never regret him! She only discovered that the human heart has the capacity to love more than one person. Now the big question is, who will Grace choose?
I know a couple of you might now be reluctant to read this book because it contains a love triangle. I’m honestly not a big fan of them either. But let me assure you that Autumn Grey handled this sensitive topic very well! I usually hate one of the three parties involved. But surprisingly here, she made me like all three of them! And that is something worth pointing out!
But reducing Disgraceful to only a love triangle book would not be fair at all. This story is so much more! It’s a touching, beautifully written tale about first love, heartbreak and finding your true self. Kudos to Autumn Grey for perfectly capturing the emotional turmoil these young people are going through. I could relate to their struggles and felt so much sympathy for them. Now I’m biting my nails and anxiously waiting for book three Absolution in order to see how the story continues! 5 stars.
Autumn Grey what the heck are you doing to me girl because you so totally left me emotionally drained after devouring this beautifully heart wrenching story! I still cannot believe you just left us hanging like that and I am already eagerly anticipating the final book in the Grace Trilogy. That cliffhanger ending took me completely by surprise and seriously I need it like…RIGHT FREAKING NOW!
Disgraceful knows how to bring on the angst and my heart is still trying to beat out of my chest as I think back to it. Grace and Sol story really had be on the edge of my seat until the very end. There were so many times that I wanted the power to reach through the pages and shake some sense into these two. I want them to get their happily ever after, but of course we still have one book left so I am holding out hope that it will definitely happen because if it doesn’t I think my heart will be obliterated! I just don’t know how much more I can handle, but I cannot wait to find out what Absolution, the final book in the Grace Trilogy, has in store for us!
Oh my heart……it hurts right now, as I was not fully prepared for the intensity of the words that filled the pages of disgraceful. My heart truly would not stop pounding as I devoured this story – just a crazy ride of emotions and I can only imagine what I was feeling was an inkling of how Grace was feeling being torn between those that completely captured her heart. What I had hoped would happen wasn’t anywhere near what happened, but I’m so conflicted on how I want this to end. Both blue and gray eyes each have their flaws, but they both love Grace with their whole hearts – but which love is that all consuming passionate love that she can’t live without? Ugh, I keep going back and forth but I just can’t choose one – why can’t Autumn make it easy on us?
And seriously – that ending. Yep. Heart smashed. In pieces. I don’t know how patiently I can wait to see how this all plays out.
Oh my gosh! I knew what I was walking into with this book, and dang it! The book throat punched me with the first page. They are both young, and need time to grow, but this way?
Grace decides to travel, and I love her growth during this time. Sol realizes that he can serve still serve God. It just may not look the same way he envisioned. They both start to heal. I did find myself screaming at Grace during this time because she has no faith in herself!
College Grace falls fast for Levi. I have to admit I did too because you just can’t help but like him. So, I found myself floundering. Then Sol comes back of course this all comes to a head at the end with us all hanging til the next book! Why do these authors try to kill us? oh yea because they are excellent at keeping our attention, and we can’t wait to let them mess with our minds!
This author is amazing! I know she will make us all fall in love with the next book. She has talent that truly amazes me!
This book was absolutely amazing. It had you feeling all the feels Autumn did a great job
