I love everything MC writes!
I’ve read this book several times and enjoyed it every time. The movie followed it very closely. Would certainly recommend it for entertaining reading. Wonderful author. Nearly everything that he has written hold your interest and is an original and mesmerizing story.
Sexual Harassment in a Seattle computer firm. Although exceedingly well-written from a technical standpoint, this book suffers from a fatal handicap: nothing happens! Crichton has been much, much better. Read on a rainy day when you’re bored, the t.v.’s broke and you don’t feel like taking a nap while recovering from elective surgery and there’s …
Written in 1988 this is a very prophetic book about the advancement of technology and how dangers political correctness is on the individual. Thomas Sanders is up for a promotion in a company that he has worked for for 10 years, when his ex of his younger days is brought in instead. She then propositions him and when he turns down her advances, …
A bit dated now but great read back before the internet became what it became.
Just ok
Very educational case of role reversal.
I have read many books by this author and this was not his best.
Older but a really good book by Crichton. In this case the book is much better than the Movie. The movie was good, but the read is better.
A lot like real life.
Once again Crichton opens a new perspectivefor the reader and teaches us about how things really work. When it comes to technical information, no one delivers it better so we understand the new paradigm.
Sexual harassment from a different view and all the complications that arise. Great read.
Still very relavent.
I generally like His books, but I just couldn’t get into this one.
Everyone knows Michael Crichton for his fantastical scientific adventures with dinosaurs. However, this author has a plethora of stories with different themes. In fact, I would argue that you could not pin Michael Crichton into a specific sub-genre.
Disclosure tells a story of a man working for a cell phone company who, after being cornered by …
It’s an older book that I had read before and I enjoyed reading it again.
The world of technology companies is VERY different from what this book portrays.
Follows closely to the movie, enjoyable.
I loved every book Michael Crichton ever wrote, this is as good as ever.
It was a very interesting slant on the workings of big corporations and how the principles can destroy other people.
