I’ve rated so many books and this one is one of my favorites. It’s the final twist that comes out of nowhere that makes it all worthwhile.
Trying to keep it simple so I don’t give anything away, the female protagonist in this story has been reading a book that was by her bedside. The more she reads, the clearer it becomes this book is about her, …
Twists and turns! Just when I thought I knew what was going on, I’d get a new piece of information that changed everything. Couldn’t put this one down.
This is a rather depressing novel which takes a long time to set the stage. The premise was very intriguing but I found the execution to be drawn out. I understand and accept the rationale of why the characters took the actions they did but I felt the story took a long time to have things start happening. The twists are good but the overall …
This book drew me in and turned me upside down. A fantastic, original story that was almost difficult to read at times. I very much enjoyed it.
A documentary filmmaker, wife and mother finds a novel on a her bedside table without knowing how it got there. As she reads, she can’t help but notice simarities to events that occurred earlier in her life. Events she tried to keep secret from her husband for twenty years. She knows that whoever wrote this book had to have been present on the …
As an author myself I read books with a critical eye – do I think the author has done a good job of character development, plot, pacing, tension etc? Every once in a while I will read a novel that has been crafted in a way that keeps me on the edge of my seat, with outstanding writing, and a clever, clever idea and I’ll think, ‘Wow, I wish I’d …
The author does a masterful job of going back and forth between characters and events and eventually weaving everything together.
It was okay.

I often give a book 60 pages to care about the characters, and to enjoy the writ style. I t took 70 pages to keep me reading. As the characters weave together this became an interesting read. Skip the last chapter and this is a clever read.
what a story to weave! Loved it.
With pitch-perfect pacing and alternating narrators that leap off the page, Disclaimer is both a page-turning mystery and an artful exploration of the explosive intersection between marriage and motherhood, revenge and regret. A wonderfully compelling book.
Disclaimer stealthily steals your attention and by the end holds you prisoner—a searing story that resonates long after the final page. The best thriller I’ve read this year.
I quit reading about 1/4 of the way through the book. I didn’t get a good senses of the characters and the plot was not very interesting.
Although slow in pace to start, this book had a clever story line
One of the very best books I’ve ever read.
Oh my! WOW! The suspense keep me breathless until the very last page. To say it was the best book I’ve read in a very long time would be an understatement.
Keeps you in suspense. Ended abruptly. Left me wondering what actually happened. Felt like a cliff hanger then you die instantaneously.
Best book I’ve read in years!! So suspenseful, with twists and turns. Written from different characters points of view as past and present events slowly unfolded.
Great book. Lots of twists that keep you guessing.
