I am loving this series. Pam’s writing is disturbingly perfect. The storyline and the characters!!! Such a dark story with a dark HEA.
Camila’s story of loss and abduction is sad and breaks your heart when you realize what she went through and what was given up in her young life. She had true, young love with Matias and she misses him.
They reconnect later when Camila is on her crusade to eliminate slave trafficking and she needs him to help her with a part of it.
This story and characters are well written and the story flows beautifully.
Another riveting story in Pam Godwin’s Deliver series. Disclaim was not just another captive/slave/dark romance, but it was a second chance for Camilla and Matias. With surprises at every turn…I couldn’t get enough of their story.
Disclaim is book 3 in the Deliver series by Pam Godwin. This is one seriously dark and twisted romance read that is quite twisted. If you do not like dark stories, then do not read this! In this book, the couple to focus on is Camila and Matias. Their chemistry and connection is extremely intense. This book is just as raw and gritty as the previous books in the series yet could be seen as a standalone. The actions and emotions that are seen and felt are intense. This is one hellacious time and Pam Godwin knows how to evoke the emotions and feels from her characters which in turn gets her readers to go along for the ride. I can’t wait for book 4.
My Rating: 4.5 stars *******
What did I just read?!? A second chance that blows your mind!!! Absolutely my favorite in this series!!! Dark, angsty with twists and turns. Do you trust your history or what you think you know now. Grabs you from the start and you won’t be able to put it down. A must read in this deliciously dark series.
This review contains references to Deliver and Vanquish. If you have not read them I would suggest you do not read my review.

Disclaim is book three in the Deliver series. Once again Pam Godwin has told a story, one in which you cannot imagine a favorable outcome, and turned it around. It is brilliant the way she weaves the tale and connects the dots. Each book in the Deliver series has its own demons to slay.
We meet Camila Dias in Deliver. She was the first slave captured by Van & Liv. In a way she helped to set things in motion by killing her would-be buyer and using his phone for the next referral/buyer who wanted to purchase a slave, starting her own brand of vigilantism. With the help of Liv she was able to free all of the slaves that Liv & Van captured. Van & Liv join forces with Camila, helping her when needed.
Camila is ready for the next step. She feels the only way to really put a dent in the sex trafficking is to get to the cartel by any means possible. In this case actually becoming a slave once again. She expects that things will be difficult and cruel but she’s been there before and her drive and desire to stop human trafficking gives her the push to follow through with her plan.
What Camila never expected was to be delivered into the hands of her first love, Matias. For years he had been the one she called if things got too crazy and she needed a quick “clean up”. She always maintained her distance because of his lack of honesty, especially regarding his occupation….
“Eighteen year old Matias never kept secrets from her. But the man he’d become was a mysterious, unreachable black hole.”
“Maybe she was just as closed off as he was, but he at least knew what she was involved in. Since the day she escaped, she’d told him she was killing slave buyers while he told her absolutely nothing.”
And so it begins. The story is laid out. The questions. The answers (finally). The twists and turns that you will not see coming. Pam Godwin can lay a tale out and smack you upside the head with it in pure disbelief. Once again she makes the impossible – possible. Dark, raw, gritty. Fantastic story. Can’t wait for Devastate!
“Funny thing, trust. It was so hard to give, yet easy to rip away. He’d earn her trust trough sixteen years of friendship. Then he’d lost it…..”
5 stars!
Disclaim is the 3rd book in the Deliver series and was the darkest story to date. This novel was raw, harsh and evokes a range of emotion from you. It s a story of submission and dominance tied up in an epic love story. The main characters Camila and Matias were both complex well-developed individual perfectly suited for each other. The secondary characters played an important role and greatly added to the story. The novel will have you at the edge of your seat and leave you guessing until the very end. With twists and turns you won’t see coming, this story was well-written and layered and a fantastic continuation to this series. I enjoyed this novel and would highly recommend it to all lovers of Dark Romances.
4.5 Stars!!!
Pam Godwin touched my dark heart with this one. Although this is dark romance, cartels, and human slavery, it’s emotionally dark, touching me on a deeper level. I absolutely loved it.
Disclaim is the third book in the Deliver Series, all interconnected standalones, but I highly recommend reading the entire series, you’ll form a deeper connection to the characters if you do. This is Camilla’s story.
Vigilante, former slave. Camilla is on the hunt, she’s damaged from of her past, but nothing stops her from finding her own justice and saving innocents. She will risk her freedom to take down the scum of Human Trafficking. Her years in captivity have taught her to be a slave… Can she dig deep, become a slave once again, or will her fight be the death of her. Camilla is my kind of heroine, I love a fighter, a backbone, she’s kickassery. Pam Godwin stayed true to Camilla from start to finish. We take a emotional ride with her thoughts, her battle to find acceptance while breaking the chains within her own mind.
“There was a darker motive. A selfish desire to overpower the fears that haunted her. Her enslavement had wrought a deep dissatisfaction with her own life, and though her body had healed from the trauma, her bleeding soul demanded she do this.”
One thing she hadn’t planned for, her captor. The one man that haunts her soul. The one that’s always there but never there. Matias. I’m getting goosebumps writing this. He’s cruel, domineering, and shrouded in secrets. My kind of man. As we uncover layer upon layer, digging deeper and deeper, his true motives are revealed. Has Camilla found someone to help her, or is he another captor she won’t survive?
“She feared him as all monsters were meant to be feared in the dark. Only he wasn’t under the bed . He was in it, his breath on her neck, skin against skin, and he was hungry.”
The past in so many ways made me fall in love with this book. I have a true appreciation for all the characters in this series, the first book captured me and I’m forever a willing slave. Camilla & Maitias’ pasts included. Tough subjects included, I was enthralled with their story. I hung on to that innocence, I wrapped myself up with their beginning and I didn’t want to let go. Not just the characters though, this book packed a punch in all the right places. It’s been days since I finished and haven’t been able to move on. I closed this book with watery eyes and the need for every single character’s story. I’d consider this one a must for dark romance fans. A MUST.
Pam Godwin always seems to lead me straight to the dungeon and I accept willingly.
How is it each book has been HOTTER than the next. Im kicking myself for not reading these sooner. I loved this story Wow Camila is badass shes like Rambo bitch and I love it. Matias he is the man. This story is so crazy fucked up. I knew Matias secret from the get go but blown away by Tate and her past.
Camila Trying to help free any and all slaves who have been captured like she was. This time shes putting herself back to find the bigger boss to bring down slave trade. Only this isnt just any Slave Trader and not everything is what it seems.
Matias has many of secrets but he killed everyone and everything to get back what was taken from him. His mission was for a love lost but not forgotten. Till he found her again alive and asking for his help but not to see him.
Tate and the other Slaves I loved are in this book
“You slipped in a stream and punctrured your arm on a rock.” Seriously? Rambo wasnt a bad dog”
“Come for me, mi vida. Come now”
You’re carrying a torch, girl. The damn flames are burning in your eyes. Someday soon, its going to devour you. “Liv’s expression softened. “You can’t save them all.”
“I’m afraid reality of you won’t live up to the memory.”
“What we had… have… “He closed his eyes, fighting the impulse to snap at her doubting him. “It doesn’t get more real than that.”
“If you get yourself killed,”Van whispered, shockingly close, his breath at her ear,”I’m going to hunt you in hell and blister your fucking ass. Hear me?”
“Keep your root in your pants, boy, or it will do to her what spring does with the lemon trees.”
“Kneel for me .. give me the power to break you.. trust that I won’t.”
“An ounce of bravery is more valuable than a gallon of blood.”
“Yes, but once you fall in love with a monster, you no longer fear them.”
Jeez! This series just gets better and better! Matias and Camilla’s story may be my favorite so far! Matias will surprise you and his love for Camilla is off the charts!
I must say I thoroughly enjoyed Camila and Matias and their crazy, emotional and utterly perfect for them, love story. It was a long time coming. Their separation. The years of pain and suffering. Fear that if they ever did meet again, the love they felt would not be the same. That is what Camila told herself. That is why she did not call. For four years. Until she needed him again. And his plan was finally coming to fruition. He had her right where he wanted her. And it was somewhere she never thought she would be going. She was prepared to take down a sex trafficker, not come face to face with the only man she ever loved. And what wad he doing? No way could he be apart of the very thing she was out to destroy! You will have to read their story to see how it turns out! But you will love their journey just ad much as I have! If you have come this far in the Deliver series I do not see the point in trigger warnings. You know what your in for. Its ugly and harsh and not for the front of heart!
I’m just going to say WOW… This book will definitely keep your mind thinking.
Camila was Van’s 2nd capture, taken from her best friend; the love of her live, Matias. Camila was also Liv’s 1st rescue.
For me some parts of the book are really intense. Up until the end it was really hard for me to justify what Matias was doing. Camila was blink to what was in front of her, meanwhile Matias was just showing her how much he truly loved her even after the 10 years of separation.
Must read, but read Deliver & Vanquish first.
As always Pam never disappoints when you read any of her books!
I have enjoyed the series and can’t wait to read the rest! She is so good at telling a story and getting you sucked into that world and how these people are feeling!
But as always sometimes this type of subject isn’t for everyone, but if you are into it then you will enjoy this book and it’s characters!
What I love most about Pam Godwin’s books is her strong heroines. Women who do not wait for a man to come to the rescue. Women who are courageous and strong. This book did not disappoint at all. Camilla is a very strong protagonist who was a victim of sex trafficking and who has now dedicated her life to righting these wrongs. It was suspenseful, action packed and emotional read. Truly amazing!
Holy Amazballs!!!
Once I think Ms. Godwin can’t top Deliver and Vanquish she absolutely tops it and then some with Disclaim!
I had a preconceived notion of how Camila was going to be going into this book and boy was I wrong.
That girl is tough as nails!
She’s strong of spirit, strong of mind and strong of body.
She’s fierce and has a big compassionate heart.
Her one weakness may be Matias.
Matias comes from a dark world that’s filled with things that are dark and ugly.
His world is exactly what Camila fights against.
Once again this amazingly talented author delivers a very real feeling of cartels and trafficking and all the vileness of this dark world.
She gives the reader an astonishing heroine in Camila.
One that’s able to love and forgive even with everything she goes through.
That’s one of my favorite things about this author is that her heroines are always remarkable women!
Now on to Devastate
Reading Disclaim had me feeling so many emotions, Pam really outdid herself on this one, Disclaim was raw and so real. Matias and Camila were swoon worthy, strong, and one of my favorite couples. Their story wasn’t easy, pushed through a lot of struggles but came back fighting in the end. Some of the scenes were hard to read but added so much depth to the characters and this world of crime and undeniable love. If you love dark love and a strong alpha, this one is for you!
I am pretty sure I said OMG in my head more times reading Disclaim than I have ever in any other book. The book was powerful in a way that it grabbed at you, made you angry yet something kept propelling you forward because you knew that somewhere, somehow there just had to be a reason for everything Matias did. If Pam Godwins intention was to make you love/hate Matias, she more than surpassed it. His characters domineering personality, coupled with Camila’s internal battles made for one hell of an interesting story. Of course the book sets you up for Tate’s story which by the way I think will be unbelievably amazing.
I absolutely love this world, this sick, twisted, dark, gritty and violent world! I don’t want to live there, but I just can’t stay away from the stories of those embroiled in . While this one had a bit of a different tone than the previous two in the series, it was no less angry
This is the story of the first, the first one that Van and Liv took and trained, that Liv saved, that Van broke. Through the twisted world and way things played out, they are all on the same side now, something the former slaves still have a bit of trouble swallowing when it comes to Van. Either way, we get that peek, that taste, of where Liv and Van are now, and then deep into our story
Camila had a beautiful life, and then it all unraveled, feel apart and she was cast into all sorts of hell. It all started with losing Matias, and now he is back. She has had contact with him, but he is back now. That is our story, they find out what really happened that shaped their lives so dramatically, so differently, than what they thought they were going to be
There are twists, turns, and some really kinky, wild sex along the way, but the connection is true and real. The boy and the girl grew up and changed, but what they are and meant to each other survived everything else that happened
It also left us nicely set up for the next book, and hopefully, stories for all the former captives 🙂
Pam Godwin, is so extraordinary at writing dark, suspenseful, sexy books. When you read her books they completely consume you. Camilla escaping her own slavery with Van then spends four years working on bringing down human traffickers. In her quest to take down other traffickers, she decides to put herself in the middle of a slave ring. Nothing is more shocking than when she realizes she has been sold to Matias. Her first love and former best friend. The man she still loves and thinks about years later. Matias the mean jerk is no longer the boy Camila loved and lost or should we say let her go. He is involved in crime and is holding so many secrets it’s hard to tell just how deep his ties run.
This book is filled with twists and turns that will leave you on the seat of your chair. This story was a turn the page because you had to see what was next, but I was actually following the love story. I have loved every book in this series, but this one is my favorite. There were so many things about Matias I loved, he was committed and devoted, but also a cruel, heartless man sometimes. I loved how these two came back together and made me fall in love with them again. I absolutely loved this story and HIGHLY RECOMMEND the series!
This was intense
Wow is book was just brilliant. I actually don’t know where to start. My head is in a spin. This story has so many twists in it I couldn’t keep up at time. But it made the story so good. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole thing. I actually shouted at my kindle a few time. At both the main characters. I had a luv and hate relationship throughout this book with them. Well mainly luv but I wanted to go mad at them so many time times for hurting and doin stupid things each other. It was Matias that I wanted to go mad at but I understood why he did what he did but he still made me mad.
I ‘ve been looking forward to Camila’s book since I got a lil piece of her in the end of the first book Deliver. Her life hasn’t been plain sailing. She has been through so many horrible thing. It’s hard to even think about. Camila is such a strong woman I just luv her strength and it really show in this book. Putting herself in the situation that she did take guts. Maybe a lil stupid but again I understood why she did it.
Matias wow what a character. He isn’t just strong sexy alpha and totally dominant. He has so many layers to his character I couldn’t keep up. All though the intense way he with Camila was sexy and a lil to much at times. I understand what happened to them when they were younger was horrible they meant so much to each other they were never apart. So being torn apart and not know why was so hard on both of them. They both went through a lot of grieving for each other throughout the year they were a part. They were both very different people now. Goin back to the way they were when they were younger may never happen.
This series as become one of my favourites. The darkness of them still scares me at time. But the way they are written just keeps me dying to know what’s goin to happen next. One thing you never get bored with this book. Camila and Matias kept you on your toes from start to finished. I couldn’t get enough of this. I m still left wanting more now I know a lil about the next book. I m so excited. I would highly recommend this book. It was just brilliant.
