Millionaire nightclub owner Jake Lawson works hard, but executive concierge Ainsley Scott is showing him how to let loose…in the sexiest possible way! I knew I was in trouble the moment millionaire Jake Lawson walked through the door of his swanky Tribeca loft. The definition of tall, dark and handsome, he’s hired me to take care of his parents’ Irish wolfhound. But one game of strip Scrabble … strip Scrabble later and we’re taking care of each other all night long…
Starting my concierge business was my way out of the rat race I ran as a lawyer until it cost me my fiancé. And Jake is a full-on workaholic, certain his high-end nightclub will fall apart if he loses focus for a second. We couldn’t be more different. But the chemistry between us is off the charts!
From drag-queen karaoke to movies at Hudson River Park, I’m showing Jake how to lighten up and enjoy everything New York City has to offer. But I can’t help wondering if blowing each other’s minds in bed is enough to make up for our different values. Can Jake step away from his smartphone long enough to give us a chance?

Opposites do attract as Ainsley and Jake discover in the laugh out loud, smexy, and imaginative story, Dirty Work by Regina Kyle. Ainsley wanted a more relaxed, stop and smell the flowers, lifestyle; starting a concierge business instead of playing lawyer in order to make partner was the best way to ensure that of happening. Then she met Jake, the brother of a friend needing someone to walk his parent’s Irish wolfhound. Nightclub owner Jake was a workaholic but Ainsley was willing to overlook that fact since the chemistry between them is off the charts. One game of strip Scrabble has these two playing horizontal mambo between the sheets showing their sizzling chemistry and explosive fireworks. Ainsley is determined to show Jake that he can step away from work and his smart phone to enjoy life without his world collapsing. Ainsley exposes Jake to drag-queen karaoke, a penis-themed bachelorette party, movies in the park to show him that there’s a whole world out there filled with fun, craziness, and laughs in addition to lots of PDA. Life isn’t all fun and games, especially when feelings get involved as Ainsley and Jake soon discover.
Ms. Kyle wrote a laugh-out-loud, funny, sexy, and amazing story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale that sizzled with their magnetism, scorch the sheets chemistry, witty banter, and endearing characters kept me flipping the pages of this fun and fast-paced contemporary romance. I totally enjoyed and highly recommend Dirty Work to other readers.

Regina must’ve read my mind when she wrote this sexy, sassy, quirky romance loaded with oodles of snark. She’s Henny Youngman and the comeback Queen rolled into one when it comes to witty dialogue and repartee. Jake and Ainsley were meant for each other with off-the wall chemistry, and it doesn’t hurt to have an Irish Wolfhound for a quasi-matchmaker either. Ainsley’s goal to loosen up workaholic Jake, and his goal to make her his gives a whole new meaning to the word seduction. One of my favorite sentences: “I’ve trusted you since we were in Garanimals.” At least that’s one that I could put in this review without the censor police showing up at my door. If you love reading sensual romances that will keep you up all night to finish, be sure to read Dirty Work. I promise you’ll be asking for more. I received an ARC for an honest review.
This was a fun, quick read with a great story line and terrific character work. The book had a smooth flow to it. I look forward to more from this author.

Dirty Work is my first book by this author. I really liked this quick and sexy read. I loved the completely opposite personality’s the couple had. Ainsley is a lawyer who decided that life was not for her and started her Concierge company where she finds her joy of life again. Jake is a Club owner who is expanding his business and very much a workaholic. The chemistry is hot between this couple and I love how cute they really were with each other. But of course not all is perfect and it comes crashing down. I love how Jake won her back, it put a hug smile on my face.
I will definitely be looking for more books from this author.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This is my first Regina Kyle book and I am obsessed! I love a good romantic comedy, one that has me invested in the story from the start, has me laughing and fully wanting everything to work out.
Dirty Work is a fun book. I absolutely love Aisley. Her fun spirit spoke to me in a way that is unmatched. I felt such a big connection to her from the very beginning.
Then you add in Jake. I love a good growly alpha male and Jake definitely fits that to a T. Putting them together was perfection, absolute perfection. There were times where I wanted to slap the man silly, but honestly, what man doesn’t make you want to slap him at some point or another? I felt a connection to him as well.
I won’t give anything away because this is a new release. But this book had me laughing, crying, threatening to throw my kindle across the room. It gave me a slight book hangover because I wasn’t ready to let them go. I wasn’t ready to lose my connection to either of them. They became a part of my day, one I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to.
The character dynamic and overall storyline was definitely one of my favorites and this is definitely something I’d love to add to my permanent library when it releases!
Four stars for this fun romantic comedy that had me wishing that the book didn’t have to end.
Really loved this story! The characters are wonderful and have great connections and interactions throughout. Interesting story line and totally love Roscoe. Will definitely read more by this talented author.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.
This book is a quick fun read that you will not want to put down. Polar opposite characters with instant chemistry that are just what each other need. Ainsley walked away from the corporate 60 hour plus work days to start a concierge business. When her friend asks her help with taking care of her parents dog that is housed at her workaholic brother Jake’s house, she goes against her rule to help her out and little does she know that she is doing more than just walking the dog. She helps Jake step out of his comfort zone. Work less and live more in a kind of very familiar Ferris Bueller way that causes sparks to fly and worlds to be turned upside down in the best possible way.
You will not be disappointed in this one.
Fun & Sexy!
4.5 Stars for this super fun & sexy read! She’s an executive concierge and he’s a workaholic nightclub owner. She used to live that rat race of a life until she decided to take things slower, have some fun and enjoy living. Jake’s about to get schooled.
Ainsley gets roped into a favor by a friend. Her friend’s brother is taking care of their parents dog while they travel for a few months. The rule was no pets, but Ainsley made the exception. She was willing to take on Roscoe, but she never expected Jake.
Taking Roscoe out daily leads to seeing his sexy, temporary guardian. Their attraction sizzles and Jake makes his attraction known. Ainsley thinks she can resist, but it’s only a matter of time. Their fall is sweet.
When they both finally give in, it’s amazing chemistry. They fit together perfectly. Days spent consumed by one another and life in their little bubble. The problems arise when reality comes rushing in and Jake has to choose between Ainsley or his job.
This was a wonderful romance with a lovable dog, a favorite John Hughes movie and a great couple. An epic finale made this the perfect swoony romance.
I totally loved this!! Sexy and fun, it was a blast right from the beginning. You’ve got Ainsley, who’s changed her life, career, her way of thought. She owns a business now that helps out others with Odds & Errands (I love the name), and agrees to help her friend, who’s leaving for the west coast, by watching a huge dog (usually no pets) with her brother. Of course, Jake is hot, a workaholic, and both kind of feel some intense sparks of chemistry. When he gets hurt trying to stand up for her in his club, she decides to stay with him & help him out. I loved their chemistry, the fun they had together, and how they grew together. And when they had their issues, big kudos to Jake on showing her his true feels! And I loved Roscoe Loved it all!!! My first book by Regina Kyle, and I can’t wait to read more!!
This book was a real page turner with the great character and storyline development that I was so engrossed in this story that I finished reading this book in one sitting!
Regina Kyle has delivered the perfect mix of witty banter and emotion in this quick, fun read that had plenty of laugh out loud moments. There was plenty of hot chemistry but also an emotional connection between the characters that made it easy to want these two to find their happy ever after.
Although the chemistry was hot and heavy from their first meeting, I loved watching Jake and Ainsley slowly recognize and acknowledge their feelings for one another. Even though Jake is billed as being a workaholic I never really got the vibe that he wouldn’t be open to finding more balance in his life, despite the past and his perception of what happened to his father. It felt more like he never had a reason to slow down, and only when Ainsley, who has had her own issues with balance in her life, decided to show Jake that he could focus on more than just work, that he finally found his reason. Learning more about Ainsley and watching her come to terms with her past really helped to get a better understanding for some of her actions and reactions, and learning her truths helped piece her story together. Jake did get me more than a bit angry at the end, but he delivered big time to earn his redemption!
The supporting characters added to the story, bringing both some laughs and also a lot of emotion. All of the various relationships added to the story, from the fun and respect that could be felt between Ainsley and her co-workers, to the tension that was always there between Ainsley and her mom. And of course Roscoe – the Irish wolfhound who steals every scene.
This was a great rom-com with plenty of heat, humor, and heart – one I would definitely recommend!

This is a great read. I love the characters and am happy with how the author gives us not only a well developed and engaging characters but a storyline you can sink your teeth into.

I thought this was a good fun steamy read. I love curling up with a good romance and Ainsley and Jake’s story was a great way to spend a couple of hours the chemistry between these two was off the charts hot and they were so good together this is a really fun enjoyable read and I would definitely recommend it.
Dirty Work is a quick, quirky, sexy read.
The chemistry between the characters Jake and Ainsley is off the charts and when they act on their attraction, sparks truly fly.
There is, of course, misunderstandings and miscommunication but just like in all good romance, it all works out in the end.
I’m keen to see if there is a story for Connor and Brie in the pipeline.
All in all, a good first novel to introduce a new-to-me author.
An uptight, workaholic millionaire and a carefree “dog walker” sounds like your usual “rich boy, poor girl” story, but ……
Ainsley isn’t a poor girl, and isn’t from the wrong side of the tracks. She was a high flying lawyer, and a good one. But recovering from a broken heart made Ainsley re-evaluate her life, so now she runs a successful concierge service.
Now I’m assuming it’s like a concierge at a hotel (you ask and they try and get it for you, or find someone who can)
She enjoys the work, she’s living the life she loves…..
Jake is a workaholic, he eats, sleeps (when he has to) and breathes his club, he thinks that if he leaves it alone, it’s going to fall apart (talk about micromanaging) he’s got no time for fun, and certainly no time for love……
Written in the first person. It gives us both perspectives.
I get the feeling Jake can relax, but at the moment his mind is on his new club opening soon. Trying to get him to relax is a full time effort on Ainsley’s part. But when he does let his hair down …… boy is she in for a fun ride.
I loved the banter, the innuendos in most of the conversations. Laughed at the karaoke scene. And don’t even get me started on the scrabble moment.
It’s really well written. The dialogue flows as do the scenes. The characters really come alive and you get this chemistry between them that really works on the page.
It’s also nice to see a woman that works and thinks for herself, a woman who isn’t afraid of what she wants, and isn’t afraid of going after it.
The secondary characters are a laugh. Her work force, his sister, and Ainsley’s mum is a woman I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of.
I really enjoyed the book and would happily recommend it.
As usual I totally enjoy reading a book by Regina Kyle. I love reading well thought out characters. It helps a story move along if you can engage with the characters. Ainsley and Jake were fun and flawed. They both needed to figure their Sh*t out, and they each helped each other to do that.
This was a fun story with great secondary characters and one goofy dog (that I do like to think was named after my Roscoe), just sayin. This was a great read during a crazy time. I really hope we can soon get back to running around New York, it made me miss the city and the people who live there. Thanks for the fun, steamy read.
4.5 stars
Workaholic and club owner Jake Lawson comes up against a force of nature when he meets executive concierge Ainsley Scott; the dog-sitter his sister has hired to care for their parents’ super lazy and utterly adorable Irish Wolfhound, Roscoe.
The last thing either Ainsley and Jake were expecting was their instant chemistry…and the pseudo dates (who wouldn’t want to visit a drag queen diner/karaoke bar?)…lots of laughs…steamy kisses…and this girl here will never view Scrabble in an innocent light again…
The super-charged attraction between Jake and Ainsley was blazing hot with an extra heap of sexiness, but what I loved best was their innuendo-loaded conversations! Snappy remarks and funny dialogue went a long way towards convincing me to root for these two. Add in well-meaning friends, one or two on the job whoopsies, and a recreated show-stopper from an 80’s classic film, Dirty Work became a delightfully witty, romantically smexy, romantic comedy!
I received an advance reader copy from the author and this is my honest review.
Loved it! This book was hot, funny and even a bit of angst thrown in for good measure. I loved Jake and Anisley and even Roscoe from the beginning.
Amazing job and great read for anyone who loves romance, comedy and two stubborn yet lovable humans and a big gentle canine giant.
4 star Review Dirty Work: A Steamy Workplace Romance by Regina Kyle
Regina Kyle is a new author to me and this is Jake Lawson and Ainsley Scott’s story which I found to be an entertaining read.
When Jake hires Ainsley to take care of his parents’ Irish wolfhound, Roscoe, she knows she is in trouble. They are absolutely opposite, with one thing in common, drive and determination to succeed.
The chemistry between them is scorching and it only builds as their attraction intensifies. Ainsley is determined to show Jake that there is more to life than just work. In fact I am not sure I will ever look at a game of scrabble in the same way again.
This was a fun and steamy read that had me captivated from the first to the last page.
