After serving his country with distinction on the battlefield, there’s only one place left for Jude Titan to fight – Washington, DC. The people of the great state of Illinois welcomed home their hero, and it’s because of them that he’s running for Congress. #TrustTitan
But there’s a problem. His opponent, Reagan Preston, is a temptation he can’t afford.
Reagan Preston grew up in politics, … in politics, groomed from an early age to carry on the family tradition. She’s in the biggest fight of her life against the golden boy, Jude Titan. It’s an uphill battle against one of the most eligible bachelors in Chicago, but she’s ready. With the backing of her family and friends, her campaign is a force to be reckoned with. . #PurePreston
What starts out as a fight for the ages turns into an attraction so intense they’ll both risk ruin for it.. #PoliticsIsFilthy #DirtyWork

DIRTY WORK Audio Book(Filthy Series Book #1) By Chelle Bliss & Brenda Rothert
This book is narrated by Sebastian York & Kirsten Leigh. These two are tremendously talented with narration. I will be happy to listen to them read any of my audio books.
I very much enjoyed this story of Jude Titan and Reagan Preston, these two are running against each other to be senator of Illinois. He’s a war hero republican who is standing for veterans and she is the democratic daughter of the senator who wants to retire. These two are drawn together from the start, even when they know they can’t be. The chemistry is on fire between them, there is great banter, and a different type of story line that works well. I give this 5 stars.
Dirty Work is the first book in the Filthy Series, a great enemies to lovers and political romance. Reagan and Jade are great characters. Their chemistry is strong and beautiful. Their story is great, and sexy, filled with twists and turns. I loved it! Sebastian York and Kirsten Leigh did an amazing job with the narration. This is a great team authors/narrators. I enjoyed listening to this story, and I highly recommend it.
Kirsten Leigh and Sebastian York did an amazing job bringing one of my favourite reads to life.
OMG where do I begin this book is a brilliant read and a great book to listen to, I love both of these authors but I wasn’t sure how this collaboration would work no worries there it WORKED !!!!!
Reagan and Jude are political enemies but that doesn’t stop the electrifying chemistry between them. This story is about the ups and downs of their relationship and the issues that puts on the campaign they are both fighting to win. Jude is a sweet ex marine who is a decorated hero and Reagan comes from a long line of politicians both on opposite sides but when it comes down to it love doesn’t care what your political views are. Throw in the advisors who are trying to dig up dirt on both of them and you will be wondering If they can overcome the pressure that family and friends are putting on them to win the election and not be together.
Jude and Reagan’s story is an unexpected journey of political twists and turns and secret love. They meet each other as candidates in the race for Senate. All their enemies in the political arena, they discover that although opposite, they are drawn to each other. Being seen together is a risk not to mention falling in love. Will Jude, the relentless war hero, be able to break down the walls of his cautious and strong democratic “enemy“? They are perfectly opposite and seemingly made for each other, but will they be able to overcome the mudslinging and scandal an election campaign can bring.
Kirsten and Sebastian are great choices for the voices of Reagan and Jude. Kirsten was able to betray the strength, vulnerability and heart of Reagan’s character. Sebastian’s deep, smooth voice perfectly showed the strong alpha male with that protective, passionate and heroic tone that made Jude come to life.
I enjoyed this book from start to finish; it was easy to get into and hooked me from the get go.
The story was enjoyable, the characters were likeable with amazing chemistry and the dialogue was witty and snappy. I loved how the story was centred around a political race, it was a new take and allowed for secrets and plot twists that were believable and apt to the story.
Overall this was a smashing read and I really enjoyed it. Dirty Work is a book that I would happily recommend.
4.5 stars
Dirty Work
By: Chelle Bliss, Brenda Rothert
Narrated by: Kirsten Leigh, Sebastian York
Series: Flithy, Book 1
I am so glad I picked this one up. It’s a fun listen, but at the same time gives us all something to think about. Jude is running for office. A veteran, he is a no nonsense candidate with real experience with real people. His opponent, Reagan is the daughter of the current senator, so her life has always been around serving the people. But what these two don’t anticipate is the chemistry between them. Bliss and Rothert have woven a wonderful enemies to lovers story with this plot, giving us not only a slow burning burning relationship, but the down and dirty grit of politics. It’s fast paced, Reagan and Jude are amazing characters and I loved their story. What I also found intriguing was the back stories in each campaign. You wonder what goes on, and this gives us just a peek of what the actual politicians go through! What a ride! Loved it, and can’t wait to move on to book two.
Sebastian York and Kirsten Leigh nail the narration. Perfect voices for the characters, a better team could not have been chosen!

A mix of enemies to lovers and forbidden love makes for a very good book. Luckily for us Chelle Bliss and Brenda Rothert are just the authors to bring it to us and with a narration team like this it was brought to life perfectly. I loved this book!
Jude Titan, a decorated Marine veteran, runs for Senator in direct opposition to State Representative Reagan Preston. They are instantly attracted to each other when they first meet and they go from enemies, to friends, and eventually, to lovers. Can their budding relationship survive the political arena?
I loved how both Reagan and Jude very much wanted to win the election, but not at the expense of the other; and how they could rile each other up just as well as they could calm each other down- they have become each other’s refuge. The entire book was written seamlessly and the characters were well-developed. I loved the flirtatious banter and raunchy phone calls between Reagan and Jude!
Both narrators did a fantastic job. Kirsten Leigh is new to me and I look forward to listening to more of her work. Sebastian York, as usual, does not disappoint. Both narrators made me feel like they were telling me a story, not reading me a book!
Dirty Work is a slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers, political romance written in dual narrative that ends in an HEA. No cliffhanger, and no cheating.
I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
5 star Review Dirty Work by Chelle Bliss and Brenda Rothert
I am always a little anxious when an author I enjoy reading teams up on collaboration with a new author to me. I had NOTHING to be concerned about and in fact have already gone off to get some books by Brenda Rothert to read as I have read all of Chelle Bliss’s books.
This was a fantastic and intriguing read although I do admit that politics is not my favourite topic to read about. I loved it from the first to the last page and was very disappointed when it ended.
The narration by Kirsten Leigh and Sebastian York was spot on and they really brought the characters to life and enhanced my listening pleasure.
What happens when two opposing forces collide and almost combust into flames; that’s what faces political opponents Jude Titan and Reagan Preston when they meet for the first time. Their attraction to each other is instantaneous, so much so that Jude in particular has a hard time focusing on the job at hand, to win the Senate seat for the state of Illinois. Will Jude and Reagan be prepared to put their political lives in jeopardy or will they strive to ignore the chemistry that they are both fighting so hard to ignore?
This was a romance with a difference. You could feel both Jude and Reagan’s angst as they struggled to reign in their feelings for each other. The emotions and hotness aspect were off the charts; I couldn’t put this book down. I have no idea where one author ended and the other took over. Ms. Bliss and Ms. Rothert blended their writing together in such a way that the continuity was flawless.
I loved this book anything that can make politics hot is amazing. The chemistry between the two main characters was off the charts and I didn’t want it to end. A solid 5 stars just wish there was more stars to give
This was an enemy to lovers/instant attraction read that had off the charts chemistry between both Jude and Reagan as they fight with each other in this political race read. The pair have amazing chemistry together. The pair sneak around to get time with each other as they have a magnetic pull toward each other and it gives a forbidden feel. As the book progresses, it does not take long for the pair to develop feelings toward each other despite where they stand politically.
I listened to the audio version of this book and the narration by Sebastian York and Kirsten Leigh was very enjoyable. The pair did an excellent job bringing the story to life. I was a first time listener for Kirsten Leigh and I found her enjoyable to listen to as she performed Reagan’s portion of the book well. I have always enjoyed narration performed by Sebastian York. He has a voice that I could enjoy no matter what he is reading even if it was the phone book.
I would recommend this book to others no matter what version of the book one enjoys
This audiobook is an Excellent listen. Romance wrapped with political subterfuge and hard learned life lessons. Well written and the narrators did an awesome job reading this book. There is steam, as always with these authors, but the story is not buried with it. Well done. A great addition to your “must listen list”.
Hot politics
Finally a political book that holds my interests. Reagan & Jude both running for the senate. Both from different parties. Both feeling that attraction from their first meeting. Jude is definitely a candidate I could get under…..I mean behind…..I mean he has my vote. Sexy ex veteran. Powerful. Seductive. Love the text exchanges these two have.
Jude Titan is running for office. Reagan Preston is also running for office. Almost like a “running gag”, they always seem to end up at the same place at the same time. It’s going to be race of political parties that seem to develop a thing for each other. The page-turner is who will come out on top at the end and will they end up as a couple. I found it an interesting concept where you have two good-looking candidates who feel a connection as they continue to cross paths as they travel across their state. These two had me thinking about James Corville and his wife Mary Matalin.
The authors do a great job at creating the sexual tension between our two main characters. And they show us that you may be physically apart but there can still be that tension. They’re also good about showing how tough it is to be in the public eye. These ladies work well together because the reader will not be able to tell who is penning which scene or character. I applaud them for taking on the real problem of our nation’s vets and their healthcare. As well as politics – especially with the current turmoil between our two presidential candidates.
I will warn you that there’s a very sad letter somewhere in this story. So please have a tissue handy just in case – thank goodness I’ve learned to keep a box close at hand. This may be a work of fiction but that letter puts a voice out there for our vets who have similar situations. Personally, I feel like every vet that comes home should write a letter to his or her congressman or senator so that they really understand what these people went through. We’ve come a long way since Vietnam but this just shows how much more work we still have to do. The book is also a great incentive to thank those men and women for their service.
The sad part for me is that you know both people cannot win. But in their personal life they both have the chance of coming out the winner. Just like in real politics, our authors also show the nastiness that can occur. Too bad I couldn’t vote for Jude or Reagan come voting time in November. This is a book that I can see myself reading more than once and not just when people are running for office.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
This is a great book you will love it. There is hot passionate, having faith in your partner lies comes out and the true shines just like love
Oh my word this was quite a naughty sexy ride ….you may see the story revolving around politics but it is so much more.
Reagan and Jude are quite the match up. Jude is a military man . He is a veteran that has become fed up with the way government is run he decides to take the reigns and run for an office . Reagan is Jude’s opponents smart, sassy, headstrong daughter. They are thrown together at every rally and political pony show but soon Jude’s smart mouth, sexy man swagger and good ideas soon have her looking at him as more than a rival!!!
Loved it !!!

Politics make great bedmates!!
Love Jude, love Reagan…these two heat up the campaign and the sheets, and make you fall in love head over heels…talk about bipartisanship!! This couple gives crossing the aisle a whole new meaning…and it is fantastic! They are both fantastic characters, honest, real, and everything you want to fall in love with..definitely have my vote and I look forward to seeing more in the next book with Nix and Kennedy!
Enemies to lovers. Good characters, well written. Low levels of angsts, heartache, drama and passion. Nice sweet, simple read with a few obstacles to overcome.
