I love an enemies to lovers story !! This one revolved around politics which made it so much different than anything else I’ve ever read.
Loved the audiobook as well it was delicious to have Jude in my ears.
I loved the story!! Reagan and Jude have some of the best tension and chemistry I have read in a long time! This is a fantastic enemies to lovers! Both of these characters are endearing and loveable! I didn’t see the twists coming, and I loved the journey including the long torturous sexy slow burn I loved the narrators!
Didn’t know how I would like a political story but this was so much more than that. Thought this was a fun enemies to lovers story. Great writing, romance and a few surprises. Loved Reagan and Jude. They had great chemistry.
Not sure how I feel about Reagan’s choice regarding her campaign but other than that I really enjoyed the story.
Jude is a war hero. He has a great chance at getting into politics, because everyone love a hero. But can he win over his opponent, Reagan. Reagan comes from a family of politicians. Her father endorces her to make sure she has a great chance on being elected. But when Reagan and Jude meet, their hearts have another idea. That is where the story begins! The way the political camps try to keep them apart, the sneaking around and the getting caught kept me on the edge of my seat. I was routing for them. I loved the cat and mouse play. The forces around them trying to keep them separate. Their relationship is not a true taboo, but in this story is was. Reagan is a politician’s daughter. She knows how to behave, what to do and say and is refined. Reagan is ready for this new role. Jude is down to earth. He wants to help the veterans. He wants to right the wrongs. I enjoyed the banter between these two total opposites. This was a fun story.
Sebastian York is flawless. I cannot imagine a better Jude. Mr. York has the perfect voice for Jude. Mr York brings out the roughness and realness of Jude. Kirsten Leigh’s performance of Reagan was terrific. Reagan’s spunk and strengths were all brought to life through Ms. Leigh’s narration. Ms. Leigh has a sweetness to her voice, that made Reagan seem real. This narration team enhanced the experience of the story. I would love to hear more from this team.
As the sister of a veteran, I can tell you they really don’t appreciate being seen in this light. I read some of it to my brother, and he was fairly offended that authors are using the war hero angle to push really bad books. If you make any money off of this crap, I hope you’re donating it to the VA.
Jude and Reagan great debate was just that, a political run for the ages. Only if it was simple and easy…. No, other people were at work trying to satisfy their own agenda not knowing where the two parties involved loyalty laid.
This book was sexy, fun, and intriguing. You never knew if the sexual tension would bite them in the butt or if they would combust in public and be damned with the consequences. I think that is what kept me engaged, wondering how or when the cat was going to get out the bag. If they ever was going to act on their lustful feeling or keep up the cat and mouse game. Regardless I couldn’t put it down and LOVED Jude from his open flirtation to his no nonsense protective attitude. He was by the books and honest to a fault. Even when betrayal was knocking at their doors.
A HAWT #MustRead and a look at their road to Senate.
Just a nice short read filled with great sex and enjoyable characters.
Dirty Work (Filthy Politics #1) was a great read by Chelle Bliss. Regan Preston and Jude Titan are running politically against each other for a senate seat. Jude is everything that’s wrong with men according to Regan. They cant fight their attraction to each other even though their supposed to be opponents. I enjoyed this read and cant wait to read more by the author.
Jude Titan is a decorated war veteran who is running to be a representative for the state of Illinois in Washington DC as a Senator. Reagan Preston is his opponent and she comes from a political family. She has power behind her, and is beautiful and smart as well. As they start to fight this political battle they learn that they have some things in common. Can they mix business with pleasure and can the reach across the political aisle??
There is plenty of sexiness, passion, swonny moments, drama and steamy times. Such a terrific story with engaging characters. A pageturner for sure even thow you don’t turn the page lol I encourage everyone who loves romance books with extra a steam, heat and sexy times. Excellent start to a series with characters that will make you want to read the entire series. Happy listening!!
This is an enemies to lovers romance based around Reagan and Jude. Reagan is a democratic whose who family has been involved in politics and plans to follow in her Fathers footsteps.
Jude is a military boy that wants to change everything about politics from his tattoo sleeves and cocky demeanor. He’s a republican that wants to shake up politics.
Reagan and Jude have list filled eyes for each other before they even meet in person but as they’re blazing the state of Illinois each on their own campaign they can’t help running into each other and finding little moments to sneak away until eventually they find this is more than lust filled moments with your enemy. This is love and it could ruin them both.
I love a good enemies to lovers book and this book did not disappoint. There was great chemistry between the characters. The plot was fun and surprising who knew politics could be so HOT!!!
This was a very captivating story that captured my attention from the very beginning. Page after page it consumes you.

Dirty Work
Filthy Series Book 1
By: Chelle Bliss, Brenda Rothert
Narrated by: Kirsten Leigh, Sebastian York
I loved everything about this book, from Chelle Bliss & Brenda Rothert’s wonderful writing style, to the storylines and characters they created to Kristen Leigh and Sebastian York’s narration. The characters are complex and nicely developed, I adored both leads, they may have been on opposing teams but they both had integrity, drive and determination. Jude Titan, a Veteran from the US Marines is running for Illinois’ US Senate seat, the same seat Reagan Preston is running for. The two represent the different political parties and are campaigning for different things. They have heated debates in front of the people but behind close doors there is a different kind of heat. The two are attracted to each other, she denies it and tries to fight it but the chemistry between them is smoking hot. Their communication and all the back and forth was pretty amazing. But when the campaign gets dirty all goes array. Was their relationship doomed from the start, who is there a winner in this campaign and who comes out on top? I loved how everything plays out in this book, there is never a dull moment, there is drama, a bit of angst, some heartfelt moments and a slow burn to a wonderful romance. Chelle Bliss and Brenda Rothert, thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Kirsten Leigh and Sebastian York are talented narrators and voice artists. They bring the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture and project the characters passion and emotions into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen
Savvy State Representative Reagan Preston takes on a little more than she can handle in the new State Senator’s race when she’s up against a sexy hot war veteran Jude Titan, that’s not bad enough Judes manager finds some damaging scandal to sling in this slow burn enemy to lovers romance.
Top that off with Sebastian York & Kristen Leigh narrating and you’re got a win win.
I requested and received this audiobook. Admittedly, this book is different than I thought it would be. Generally low angst, it’s a political romance that follows two great characters who are opponents trying to win the senator seat. There’s pretty much insta-lust but there’s a great amount of overall respect between the characters which makes this an especially fun read/listen.
I liked that Jude is unconventional and honorable and really, he was written to be the anti-politician. A former soldier, his discussion about the plight of soldiers, as they serve and even as civilians really tugged at my heartstrings. In this really difficult political environment, we forget that these soldiers really have made huge sacrifices for our freedom and the authors did such an amazing job bringing this issue to the forefront. Also, watching two people from different political parties working together, respecting each other, makes me wish this could be real life.
Overall, this book features great banter between Jude and Reagan and I really loved the way they were with each other; both were great characters that were honorable. I would have loved to meet both of them in real life. There was plenty of steam too and overall, I didn’t want to stop listening to this story.
Sebastian York is one of the best narrators and he did an amazing job, of course. Kirsten Leigh held her own too- great control of her voice, ability to play multiple characters well, including male characters. Their reading elevated the story.
Kennedy and Nix romance is steamy. Kennedy wants to be more than her father’s dirty secret is a spy and her new assignment is Nix. Kennedy is not spy material and some of the aspects of their relationship is unreal.
I flipping loved Jude and Reagan! They were combustible together. The way they developed their relationship was fabulous. The journey the story took was really enjoyable. Across the country, tour stop and rally they got to exchange banter & more that leaves us wanting more. I kept trying to figure out how I wanted it to end and was very satisfied with how it wrapped up.
Sebastian York was puurrrrfect as Jude! Everytime he spoke as Jude Titan, you could just feel the powerhouse. Kristen Leigh did a great job as Reagan.
Kirsten Leigh and Sebastian York make this audio!
They def made the story come to live for me.
Nik and Kennedy have amazing chemistry…they might be on opposite sides of the fence, but when they find their way they make the most of it.
Kirsten’s sexy smooth voice brings a vulnerability to her character that makes her real.
Sebastian…I mean that voice is just SEXY…period!
These two have a complicated start…so grab this audio and sit back and listen to this amazingly sexy story.
******** AUDIOBOOK REVIEW ********
Well this is a total first for me, I’ve never read Brenda Rothert before and now I’m getting her combined with Chelle Bliss. After three books from Miss Bliss, I’ve come to see that she writes some incredible sexy times. I can’t seem to get enough of her naughtiness! These two together are a hit! I don’t really read political stories. I don’t enjoy the issues and the underhandedness that comes with it. Lordy, Jude and Reagan are in a fight against each other. I found this a bit funnier than the other Bliss books and I attribute that to co-writing. I liked it though. The characters were interesting and very developed.
You can’t go wrong with these two narrations. Kirsten Leigh and Sebastian York was a match made in perfect ear heaven! There’s this rough and gruffness to York’s voice that I just loved. Miss Leigh has a really enjoyable counter sound to York. He’s hard and gruff while she’s soft and airy.
