Max Troika never thought he’d be the alpha of his pack. That was his older brother’s fate. Assassinations have a way of ruining everything. Including who Max can take as a mate. It sure isn’t the cute and curvy librarian inspiring his dirtiest dream every night. Here’s a sneak peek at chapter one for you~They giggled and laughed and gossiped until Gal’s cheeks hurt. Man, she needed this. She … hurt. Man, she needed this. She absolutely needed to make more time to hang out with her friends and rekindle all the good times they’d had together. Who would have thought three girls who’d bonded over the horrors of the aerobics unit in their mandatory high school PE class would be such good friends after six years apart?
“Speaking of old gossip. Look who just walked in.” Heli gave the tiniest of motions with her head behind Gal. “Wait. Don’t just turn around and stare. Be cool about it.”
Cool? Right. Gal picked up her glass, downed the rest so it was empty and turned toward the bar like she was going to get another one. Standing where she expected to see the bartender was the boy, uh- huge, hot, man had he gained a lot of muscle, man she’d had a crush on since about the third grade.
He caught her looking and his eyelids lowered to half-hooded and he grinned. Every butterfly in the northern hemisphere flew straight into her stomach and a good fifty percent of those migrated south. Gal spun around and widened her eyes at Heli. “You could have told me it was Max. Cripes. He isn’t coming over here, is he?”
Heli nodded. “He sure is.”
“Ack. Do I have anything in my teeth? Did I spilled down the front of my shirt. I always do that. Allah, save me.”
The words poured out of Heli’s mouth, hurrying to answer. “You look great. His mouth is probably already watering. Here he comes.”
“Hi, Ladies.” A hand landed on the back of her chair and she could practically feel the heat coming off his extreme hotness. “Can I get you another round?”
“Hi Max. That’s nice of you.” Heli grinned up at Max. Gal didn’t have the guts.
“Heli, Zara.” Max gave Zara a bit of a nod and a conspiratorial grin. The Troikas’ parents had never approved of Max’s older brother Niko and Zara seeing each other. Max and Kosta didn’t agree with their parents. One time they even pretended to have a broken down car in the next town over to get their mom and dad out of the house so Niko could take Zara to the prom. His rebelliousness was one of those qualities that had drawn Gal to him in the first place.
Back then she couldn’t imagine defying her father. Dating a Troika would probably send him into fits. She was an adult now. She could do what she wanted. Sort of. Man, she really needed to figure out a way to move out of her parents’ house faster than what her librarian’s salary afforded her.
“You drinking chocolate milk there, Galyna?” Max tipped his head at the few dribbles left in the bottom of Gal’s martini glass.
She did love a good flirt. So why was there a funny wiggle in her tummy where her flirter should be? She couldn’t seem to get it kick started. “I’ve graduated to chocolate martinis, thank you very much.”
“Mmm. Sounds delicious. Can I try it?” Max eyeballed the glass in her hand, or maybe he was staring at her chest.
Okay, that grin he was giving her was way too sexy, and he knew it. Definitely her chest. She had dressed sexier than her usual sweater sets. Certainly not because she’d hoped to see him tonight. No, not at all. “Afraid there’s not much left.”
“Just enough.” Max took the glass, his fingers barely brushing against hers and oh, so slowly ran the tip of his tongue over the rim and then dipped into the well, once, twice. The pink of his tongue was visible through the bottom and he swirled it around licking up every last drop.
The inside of that glass wasn’t the only thing that was wet.

What a great start for this new series! I loved Galyna and Max!
Max and Gal went to school together. As the nerdy girl, Gal had a crush on Max but never dreamed he had his eyes on her as well. Returning back home for a job in the local library, their re-meet was sizzling but cut way too short. After wolves try to attack her and her roommates, she finds herself once more in the company of the man of her dreams.
There is trouble among the wolf packs and Max is expected to step up and take the leadership role in protecting not only his pack but the humans in Rogue. While trying to stay vigilant in that position, he finds himself fantasizing about Gal…a lot. Unfortunately, they can never have anything more than a sexual relationship as his kind have been expressly forbidden to mate with humans.
This was a fun, sexy read with plenty of wolf shifters and lots of sizzle. I enjoyed that this story put a different twist on the shifter/human relationship. Max was a wonderful alpha hero with all the things I love – jealousy, possessiveness, and protection.
”Pack and wolfkind aside, he was going to rip any other man or beast to shreds that threatened Galyna. He’d make sure everyone knew she was under his protection.”
Gal was just as great a heroine. She had a few body image issues but realized that with the right man they don’t stand a chance.
”Being with Max though, she didn’t mind sharing her vulnerabilities with him.”
I loved that this little librarian was fun and flirty and fierce! Together they were perfect. The scenes between them ranged from laugh worthy to steamy…sometimes the two at the same time.
This is a fast paced read that never bogged down. There are plenty of secondary characters that I’m sure will be getting their own stories and I can’t wait to see where this series is going to take us.
Finally getting his girl
Ohhh, I love this book! It is so awesome that we finally get the back stories on the wolves who have helped the dragons in previous books. The author has outdone herself with the way these wolves have opened themselves to the truth of their connection with the human in their life. We would all wish for a HEA like this one and a mate who glows for us. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
Book one in the Alpha Wolves Want Curves series a book that held my interest until the end. Looking forward to reading the next book. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing.
Dirty Wolf is the First Book in the Alpha Wolves Series. I can only hope that the rest of the series is as good. This is one of the best books Ms. Award has written yet. Galyna and Max are well developed and easy to care about. The story is unique and a page turner.
If you’ve read and loved Aidy Award’s Dragons Loves Curves series, you’ll love the first book in her Alpha Wolves Wants Curves series. In Dirty Wolf, we meet a young Max, the Troika wolf pack alpha we’ve met in the Dragon’s series, and learn his and Gal’s back story.
This is a stand alone story with a happy ending and lots of curvy loving goodness.
This is a spin off from the Dragon series. But this stories are before the dragons (confusing, but who am I to tell the author in what order to write)
So ……
Max has always liked Galyna (Gal) but never plucked up the courage to ask her out. But now she’s back he’s going to do something about it now…..
Galyna is back as the town’s new librarian, but it’s not so much fun living back with her parents.
Max is now the Alpha in training, (his older brother died under mysterious circumstances) with his father’s help he’s becoming the Alpha he had no intention of being. And really Gal has no part in his future, but he can’t stay away from her.
And now Gal is being drawn into a war that sets wolf against wolf, pack against pack.
So what does the future hold for Gal and Max? Can they really be together? Or will Max have to marry a wolf from another pack?
Dirty Wolf is the story of how Maxsim (heir apparent of the Troika pack) and Galyna (his human mate) changed wolfshifting history. The author wonderfully fleshed out many of the wolfshifter characters she had introduced us to in a previous Dragons Love Curves book. I was very happy with the direction the author took the story in, and very delectably satisfied with Max and Gal’s developing relationship. I look forward eagerly to the next book, Naughty Wolf, where I hope the cliff-hanging threads she left dangling will be resolved. We need to learn where Gal’s friend disappeared to, without a trace. And then there is Niko. He needs to give an account of what happened to him while he was MIA. But the most significant concept I gleaned from this book was how closely the book’s theme mirrors current social issues in our own world. I take this quote from chapter 18, Dirty Wolf, that explains it with sincere candor: “No one had the right to control who he or any other wolf, human, dragon, witch, fairy, sprite, or any other being in the universe loved and wanted to be with. Love is love.” Just as backlash against this truth is occurring in our own reality, some of the book’s characters, both human and wolf, find they cannot accept it either. It will make for interesting controversy between characters for the next installment. However, I think (I hope!) Max and Gal’s future, and that of their wolfshifting friends and family, will ultimately be bright and happy. Love is love–yes!!
Dirty Wolf is the first book in the Alpha Wolves Want Curves series, but fits within the Dragons Love Curves universe. Gal has had a crush on Max for as long as she can remember and is thrilled that he’s paying attention to her after her return to town. Max feels completely drawn to Gal, but he’s hiding a huge secret – he’s a wolf shifter, and isn’t supposed to share his secrets with humans. War is brewing, his clan isn’t safe, and neither is Gal. Will Max be the Alpha he’s meant to be and the change that’s needed, or will war claim him and all that’s dear to him?
This book is fabulous! I absolutely loved Gal and Max together. They’re passionate, they’re willing to fight for what they believe in, they’re so accepting of each other, and I just fell in love with both of them! Gal is full of such hope and I really enjoyed watching her both having the rose tint of love consume her, as well as using her smarts and reading to help as best as she could be strategic. Max had so much shift to his shoulder in a short amount of time, but I think he handled everything well. I loved that he had to sometimes let go of what his head said to follow his instincts and to let his wolf call the shots. I think it made him an excellent Alpha when necessary. I think my favorite part about this romance was that they were fighting for love! “Love is Love” is a beautiful quote from this book and I thought it was such a powerful message. Also, Max’s mom is totally awesome! I think it would help if you have read the Dragons Love Curves series, but it’s not necessary to enjoy this book. I’m definitely looking forward to reading about what will happen next for the Troika clan!
Love me a good shifter romance! This is one of the best I’ve read in a long time! Was bummed when I got to the end. I’ll be looking for the sequel.
ONE FLAMING DELIGHT!!!
Man, somebody call 9-1-1 please. I don’t think my reader is going to make. Me either, I’m going up in smoke. Whew! One smouldering, steamy and white-hot off the charts blazing. Aidy brought out the flaming brilliance with this high octane sizzle that catapults this bad boy up a few levels. This bad boy brings all the heat, steam and a raging inferno with off the charts chemistry that will leave you breathless and craving more. One roaring storyline and gripping plot spin all those emotions bursting to life spectacularly. Twists and turns abound with all the trials and tribulations these guys go through that seem endless. The characters are authentic, personable and realistic with such depth and individuality its easy to relate. The scenes are written with such realism you have no problem picturing each scenario as they play off one another perfectly. Amazing job Aidy, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Good story; complex telling of history, current day and plans for the future. A lot of action and adventure and also some of the sensual variety as well. The characterizations were many and all came through clearly delineated. It appears as if a lot of groundwork is being set up in this novel, leading to more stories of the main players from this novel.
Interesting material that held this reader’s attention from start to finish.
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel from the author and am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.

Max is the carefree 2nd son of the pack alpha. He never had any plans to be the pack alpha until his older brother was killed. Galyna is the local children’s librarian and can’t imagine she would even be on the radar of the sexy Max Troika. Despite the pressure from his family and pack Max is determined to show Gal just how gorgeous he thinks she is even if it is just for the night. Will Max’s secrets destroy any chance that he and Gal have at falling in love?
OMG I absolutely loved Dirty Wolf! This just might be my favorite Aidy Award book so far. Loved that Dirty Wolf not only has sweet but hot romance it also has a little suspense and some pack surprises thrown in. The characters are funny and will keep you entertained. This is an easy read with a great story. Can’t wait for book 2.
Aidy has another amazing series for us.
I found Dirty Wolf to be so captivating I had to stay up until 1:30 in the morning to finish it. I was actually surprised I didn’t wake up my husband with my chuckles and laughs. So many innuendos, puns and good times await in this book/world.
Add in a visit from old friends from another series …
And wait till you get the bar joke…
Best line is still from the tweens in the library. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. Aidy has become one of my very favorite Authors. She is my very favorite PNR Author.
From the first chapter you get all kinds of sass from Gal. “The inside of that glass wasn’t the only thing that was wet.” Gal meets up with Max after a long absence, she’s been head over heels in love with him since the third grade. She’s back in town as the librarian and Max and his family own a few businesses. Strange things are happening and Gal is getting mixed up in it and Max won’t let anything happen to her. It was an interesting story and kept you on the edge of your seat for the whole story. There is an ending to this story, but you can see inklings of what the next chapter will be. It is refreshing to have a curvy heroine. I would recommend this book for sure.
I received this advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review.
Well worth reading!
Aidy Award has done it again. Each and every one of her books will draw you in and not let you go. I cannot wait to see if there will be more books in this series with some of the side characters. You will be on the edge of your seat with the action as well as wondering if you could find a love the same way.
I really enjoyed this novel. Wolf shifters and humans. Max and Galyna start the trend of being wolf and human mates. A war breaks out between factions of wolves. A story of love and war. A tradition or wolf law broken with the times. This is a great story that I really liked. I wanted to keep reading since it was captivating.
This was a really good read, it had some great unusual twists to the story and the characters and world building are brilliant!
I’m looking forward to further additions to this series
Great read!! Gal is wonderful and Max is hot!
