Her time is over.
Things are looking up.
She’s dirty and ugly.
He’s wicked but handsome.
Six months to toy with her.
Six months of vacation and a ton of money.
I’ll hurt her beyond repair.
I’ve been through much worse.
She’s difficult to control and doesn’t obey.
I’m done submitting to anyone or anything in this life.
I should hate her.
I should hate him.
The game has changed.
I will win.
… hate her.
I should hate him.
The game has changed.
I will win.
Dirty Ugly Toy is a novel that blurs the lines of right and wrong, deals with abuse, contains dubious consent, and adult subject matter. If you are sensitive to violent sexual situations, the book may not be suitable for you. Some parts of this book are not easy to read and are not intended for everyone. However, those that keep an open mind and stick with it will not be disappointed.

This story takes everything you expect in the beginning, and blows it all to hell. Nothing is what you originally thought it was. There are so many twists and turns that you are constantly teetering off the edge of your seat, anxious for what comes next. These characters have so many layers that make them who they are and motivates how they are. It’s all fantastic. This story was absolutely amazing. A must read for sure!
I love everything about this book! It’s twisted and unique. By the end of it, everything I thought I knew about what was going on was tilted. The characters are amazing, and I love Jessica. She’s vulnerable, fierce, and smart. Such a great read!
Braxton has toys, he only keeps them for six months then gets a new toy, his to do what he wants to with. Looking for his new toy in the UK, he never gets them close to home, he looks for dirty whores that no one will miss.
When he meets Jessica Rabbit, he knows that he can make her into his new toy. From the minute he meets Jessica he knows she’s different, but he knows he can break her just like he has all his other toys.
When Jessica sees the princess room she panics and would rather sleep in the closet or the Hole where Braxton takes his toys to play, when Braxton notices her reaction to the princess room, he knows she’s hiding something and that’s how he can break her.
You find out through the story why Braxton has his toys, but Jessica is different to any toy his had before and he doesn’t know what to do about he only keeps his toys for six months then they have to go.
Jessica starts to care for Braxton, enjoying both the pain and violence he gives her, she remembers the life she had the pain she went though, wondering if she can have a life like that again, but Jessica has to decide how much she really does care for Braxton, does she care enough to walk away to safe him.
In some regards, I so enjoyed this book. In others, not so much. It went in a way so different than I thought. I was expecting some Pepper Winter’s Monster in the Dark or Indebted theme to this one, but instead it was a lot less darker than what the synopsis led me to believe. Especially after that prologue, whew! But to find out the truth of it later on wasn’t the highlight of the book. I get it; redeem the hero and all that. But based off the synopsis I was really hoping for more.
As an extension of that, it was great to see him being “fixed” by her, but I hated the constant back and forth. There’s being torn between her and his usual and then there was this. One sentence: “I love her”. The next: “I need to show her what being a toy still means”. This was pretty constant so it got very tiring.
One thing I loved was when he chose her for all the reasons he did and she ended up countering all those reasons (by accident and unknowingly). She was an American hiding out in the UK; he chose her because he doesn’t choose UA girls; only UK. He wanted blonde and turns out her hair was dyed blonde, but not real. It was very funny.
Overall, I really did enjoy this read. There was just a lot I wasn’t a fan of.
Similar to my other reviews for Webster’s books, if you venture into this one..keep an open mind and be ready to completely shatter whatever box you keep yourself in. This book is dark, gritty, heartbreaking, erotic, and more…so much more. From the first page, you get an eye full of Jessica’s demons and the darkness she is swimming in. Jessica is one helluva fighter though and I loved seeing that her strength never wavers thru the story. Braxton – this man definitely is not prince charming riding in on his white horse. He has his own demons and dark, heartbreaking past – how he deals with them is interesting..to say the least. I was pulled in from the start, rooting for Jess to make it and as I got further into the story I started rooting for them both. As always, Webster thru in twists that had me yelling and cursing but she made up for it at the end. I loved every minute, even the ones that I actually found myself cringing at, this is what K. Webster does to me with every story I read. She pulls me into her world and doesn’t let me go until the very end. This can be a hard read for some, so be wary of any triggers that you may have because there are some rough scenes in this book.
Absolutely LOVED this book by K Webster! It was nothing like her other books! Not as taboo or dirty. I was so entranced listening to the audio, I found myself just staring off in space listening to it and not focusing on my tasks. Loved this so much and SO glad I also have the paperback already. 5 stars!
Pussnbooks.net Reviewing the darkest erotic books we can find.
JESSICA – Jessica is a heartbreakingly down and out American girl living in the UK. At the start of the book, her position (in every sense of the word) really shocks you and grabs your attention. Immediately you want to know what has happened in her life to get her to this horrible situation.
You learn a lot about her from the opening chapter and it hits hard. I really felt for this woman and could see how much she wanted to obliterate her past and never have to face it again and it leaves you wondering exactly what else happened to this poor soul for her to get to this point.
I couldn’t help but like Jessica from the beginning, and as the book continues and as you learn more about her, your heart goes out to her even more,
She’s a very likeable character and right from the start you are rooting for her and curious to hear more of her story.
BRAX – This guy…I’m not really sure what to say. I just couldn’t warm up to him at all. At first, I thought he would be one of those characters that you warm up to slowly, but it just never happened.
Brax has a ton of money, some dedicated muscle and a load of mental health issues. I’ll be honest, I just couldn’t even develop a decent picture of him in my mind. There seemed to be a lack of…I dunno, personality maybe? It’s not that…maybe depth?
Anyway, he was meant to come across as a badass dominating kind of guy. A bad boy with an attitude that you just can’t help but crave. but instead, he’s just a pr**k with money. He treats most people pretty badly but seems to have their respect for some reason.
As a kid though, he had it really bad. There were some scenes throughout this book that really made you feel a deep ache for him as a child. You can understand why the dude is the way he is, for sure. But there really wasn’t much in there or me to find sexy, sorry guys.
I also hate how he calls Jessica “Bunny”, it just feels kind of creepy. That, and how he is always referring to her as a toy is just weird. I am no stranger to a-holes who you wanna throat punch but end up loving.
SEX SCENES – The sex scenes in here were kinda lacking. There could have been a lot of passion and angst here but it just didn’t happen. To be honest they were painfully short and not very imaginative.
FINAL THOUGHTS – I just couldn’t get lost in this book. I’m not saying that there were no good parts in it at all, just that they didn’t suck me into this world. The only character I felt anything for was Jessica, the rest just felt incomplete.
The thing is, I can see that this story had great potential but it just failed to deliver. I was going to give it 2.5 stars but I’m going to give it a solid 3 due to the fact that it was able to pull at my heartstrings with scenes from both MC’s past.

Dirty Ugly Toy by K. Webster is definitely a book that a dark romance reader won’t want to miss. I have read the book several times now, and continue to love it just as much as I did the first time. This story took me on quite a ride, from heartaching emotion with soul crushing revelations, to unexpectedly tender moments- this story had me completely unbalanced, and I loved every single moment!
This reminded me of a grittier, darker and more emotional “Pretty Woman”. It was a little twisted, which I have come to love and expect from Ms. Webster- and even through all the very unsettling scenes which made me quite uncomfortable, I couldn’t and wouldn’t put the book down- through the action, shocking details, and violence- I forged on, completely invested in the story and the characters- needing desperately to see how everything works out in the end.
There is definitely much more to this story than first meets the eye- and is so worth the read to discover it all!! So, do yourself a favour and grab a copy, meet Braxton and Jessica- but strap yourself in because your in for an intense ride!
Thank you, Ms. Webster!
It’s a romance, an emotional roller coaster, heavy, sinister food, abysses and hide-and-seek and suspense, hardly breathers and very interesting, unique characters. Everything very well and incredibly skillfully combined and interwoven.
The warning of discomfort and the crossing of some boundaries should be followed by sensitive readers and keep their hands off this story, even if there is a HEA, the way there is violent in its own way.
Dirty Ugly Toy
By: K Webster
Narrated by: Steven Barnett
This book was recommended to me and it took me 6 months to finally get around to listening. The questions is why did it take me so long? This dark romance is everything I love. It pushes me to the edge of my comfort zone with the drug use and the dubious consent. It consumes me with love as Jessica learns of Brax’s life. It angered me when I met Jessica’s husband and finally left me with hope as life evolved. The mind of K Webster shows us how there is so much more to a person than we see. Brax makes Jessica his dirty, ugly toy for 6 months. Taking her from the streets, he cleans her up and plans on making her bend to his will. Unlike any other woman he has met though, we see a transformation of both as their many layers are revealed. Their pasts will come to haunt them and their futures are there for the taking. It’s a ride worth taking as we explore the depth of characters, deal with their demons and find their true selves. One of the best listens I have had the pleasure of hearing.
Steven Barnett is amazing in this book. He is able to portray the dark elements, add the fear, and gives us the hope. I thought his performance all around is great. He flows and adds the English accent to Jessica with ease. He has a good array of voices for the many characters and pulls us into this dark and sensual world.

I LOVED THIS ONE!! A mixed bag of goodies, a page turner for all readers.
You ever get the that feeling to read every book said author has written? This is how I feel, like I’ve been missing the goodness of chocolate all my life and I just got my first taste with This Is War, Baby, now Dirty Ugly Toy. #Addict
This took me a couple of days to finish this one, only because of sleep and all that, but I was reading in the bathroom when I could. Not as dark as I usually read, but it’s still contains some of the depravity I love, the twistedness I crave, and the feelings and make the story whole. I loved the past woven in, it made the story that much more, the characters came to life, gave us the foundation of who they became. I almost cried. (Don’t tell anyone.) Anyway!!! I loved this book, LOVED! A complete standalone. This book wasn’t missing a thing, I felt full when I finished. Braxton. Braxton. Braxton. And I loved Jessica, not your usual sad, excuse for a fighter. She was likeable!!!! Loveable.
This author hooks you with the first page. She creates the prefect recipe for all, a little bit dark, a whole lot of originality, and the perfect amount of emotion.
I’m off to download all her books.
Utterly compelling, twisted and dark, this steamy, romantic, kinky af dark romance held me captivated from page one. Dark romance at its best: a tortured, jealous, possessive hero and a spitfire of a heroine. This book will break your heart then mend it in the best possible ways.
I’ve been reading K.Webster’s books lately and I’m literally falling for each character and story so much.. they’re so brilliant and so different from what I’ve read before.. Dirty Ugly Toy was not the exception it is a Dark and twisted a great story that will keep you in your seat from the very first pages of the book ..
Jessica hasn’t had a good life in a very long time, she has been living in the streets trying to hide from a past that keeps trying to destroy her and everything that comes around her. she feels like her life is already lost and that she doesn’t have any hope for anything but life have other plans for her, plans that maybe will set a new course for her future..
“I want to escape from this world. To go and go and go until I run off the page of the infinite universe. To crawl around in the never-ending, quiet blank nothingness. My own personal heaven. My escape from hell.”
Braxton was cold, controlling and very possessive he has a very special taste when it came to women and sex.. he wasn’t looking for something solid and stable, his projects and dreams had other direction.. he only wanted to restore them and fix them nothing more.. his past keeps lurking around, his new Toy confuses him making him blind of what is real and what is not..
“I’m the biggest, baddest wolf of them all. And that’s why she’s safer with me.”
Toy was a great character, I really love how strong she was, she didn’t take anything from anybody and she always fought when she thought life was unfair. I really like Jessica’s character because she is not the typical heroine, She went through so much in the past, she is strong and also vulnerable but she always tries to show that no matter how hard the situation or the moment was. she was always in control of her life and emotions.. at least until she met Brax..
“Her eyes shine, crystal clear with an emotion that slices open my chest and infects my entire being. I love the look. I love the clarity. I love the undeniable certainty. She’s mine.”
The relationship between Jessica and Braxton had so many ups and downs, Jessica didn’t understand Brax mood swings and emotions.. but that didn’t change The amazing chemistry between them.. they could feel each other always no matter what, even if Brax kept fighting his feelings and mind.. life kept showing them they were always meant to be together.. also when Brax was near Toy he always was a mess his emotions will be all over the place trying settle but she always makes him second guess his emotions, blurring every line he kept putting in place..
“Two torn, brittle, ratty souls weaving together as one and creating something new and perfect.”
one of the things that I really loved about Braxton was the protectiveness he always had for Jessica.. it was palpable all the time no matter where he was, he was always in charge of Jessica’s well being..
“Brax doesn’t do anything small or insignificant. He charges everything with all that is him and it’s electrifying.”
so many other great characters and things that we don’t see them coming, Cart was a great character as well as Dubois.. James characters one that you are going to hate for sure.. and many more that you will love and bring so much to this story..
Overall: I really enjoy Dirty Ugly Toy, The story was great, The character were also great. Definitely looking forward to read more K.Webster stories..
Riveting and captivating. This romance is well worth the read.
Loved this book. Powerful story.
Don’t be fooled by the title
I was hesitant to read this story because I personally am not a fan of the subject (bdsm) yet this author wrote in such a way that she didn’t focus or center on it. This was more about two broken humans and finding their way, to which I warn the next reader this author wrecked my heart with the memories of the past.
Great writing! This story starts off in a not so pleasant and very dark place. Once you get past that point it really is a page turning story! I can’t say I felt a great connection to any of the characters BUT I did want to know their stories!!
Also the epilogue!!! I LOVED that it was from someone else’s perspective. I’ve only seen that done in one other book and I really love it!
Great read!

“I’ll own every part of you, inside and out.”
I seriously lost my FREAKING MIND over DIRTY UGLY TOY!!! This deliciously dark and tantalizingly twisty tale just ELECTRIFIED my heart and SLAYED my soul!
This is my first K. Webster novel, and now I totally get why her fans are so GA-GA over her books! Truly unlike anything I’ve read before, DIRTY UGLY TOY was brilliantly crafted, heart shattering, pulse pounding, scorching hot and so utterly intoxicating… I can’t formulate enough words to describe how EPIC this book was! The feels were OFF THE CHARTS from start to finish. I shivered. Sighed. Cried. Exalted. Raged. And just BASKED IN SHEER AND UTTER BLISS!
The character development was beyond resplendent…. Ms. Webster dug deep into the dark inner recesses of these complex characters’ splintered psyches, and I was so profoundly moved and utterly decimated by the visceral, shockingly soul deep bond between beautifully bewitching call girl Jessica “Rabbit”, and her rich, formidable and oh so deliciously sinister owner Braxton Kennedy. It goes without saying that their red hot molten lust was so POTENT it permeated off the page, but the beauty of this coupling is that their magnetic connection transcends mere carnal desire. For despite their drastically different backgrounds, their damaged hearts are tethered together by such mutual pain and suffering. They both endured such atrocities in their lives, it nearly brought me to my knees, and as their layers were slowly but surely peeled away, it’s downright chilling to discover how their tragic pasts irrevocably shaped their tumultuous futures!
Braxton is a ferociously dark anti-hero you LOVE. TO. HATE!!! And hopelessly swoon over! Gah…I had so many conflicting feelings toward this MONSTEROUSLY sexy, self made millionaire who collects “ugly dirty” prostitutes as toys and restores them to a thing of beauty. He coddles and corrupts them, subjugates and spoils them, ensuring they fall under his toxic spell before callously “discarding” them and trading them in for a shiny new toy! Although these poor women have committed no crimes against Brax, he claims they must “repent” for the sins of his wretched mother and seems to take sadistic delight in bringing them to the height of pleasure all the while humiliating and debasing them. But, alas, there’s a HUGE TWIST in regard to his true intentions toward them that just left me gasping!
Historically, his playthings all have a short shelf life… until HER. For when Jessica his latest toy, enters the devils lair he is totally thrown off his game! Of course when Brax first plucked “Bunny” off the street, on the surface she appeared to be like all the other cheap, doped up whores with nothing to live for except their next hit of “skag. ” But once he forces her to get clean and sober, he sees she is NOTHING like his other toys. Turns out, Bunny is NOT dutiful or docile, does not cower in fear, and REFUSES to bend to his will!
There is just something about this filthy, scrappy spitfire with the atrociously bottled strawberry blonde hair, flashing green eyes and aching vulnerability that not only unleashes the FERAL BEAST in Brax but the PRIMAL PROTECTOR as well! And against all odds, AGAINST ALL REASON this complicated, infuriating woman stirs up raw, tender emotions in him, opens the floodgates to his own agonizing past, and via this beautiful broken vixen, he begins to see a reflection of his own tattered soul. HER CRAZY FITS HIS CRAZY. And suddenly, this self-professed deviant finds he wants to HEAL his toy as much as he wants to HURT her, and together they soon discover that what started as a tawdry, perverted business arrangement morphs into SO MUCH MORE! But when all is said and done, will dark demons from their pasts cause this toxic, ugly, beautiful union to permanently self-destruct?
I am not going to delve more into plot because it’s best to absorb every deliciously decadent morsel firsthand, but take my word for it that this heart rendering journey that Brax and Bunny embark on together will punch you in the gut, torch your soul, and leave you THOROUGHLY ENRAPTURED!
BOTTOM LINE:
I am SO glad I finally popped my K. Webster cherry with DIRTY UGLY TOY, which is truly a DARK MASTERPIECE OF EPIC PROPORTIONS! And although I am now admittedly nursing a massive book hangover, I cannot wait to devour this brilliant author’s entire backlist!!
#BewitchedandBeguiledbyBraxandBunny!
Holy moly cow this was some twisty stuff. I don’t know how the author comes up with it. Half the time I’m thinking…all aboard the crazy train! It was pretty good, just different. It’s definitely dark book, so no sunshine and rainbows here.
Such a beautifully written tale of broken love, deep desire, and fragile strength! Bunny isn’t his average toy, and Brax has finally met his match. Dark and twisty both in telling & the plot, this was such a delicious fast paced read. Will these two find salvation? Read, like NOW! K Webster is the Queen of delectable dark!
