His mouth is hot enough to melt the iceTen days. That’s all I’m asking for. But not one of my NHL teammates is willing to cough up a sister, cousin, or trusted friend to play my fake girlfriend for this wedding.Pucking BS. Yeah, my mouth has been known to get me into places I don’t belong. But this Class Five panty melter is on lockdown because the last thing I need is another complication.I’m … another complication.
I’m about to give up when fate delivers the answer to my prayers.
I’m not her type.
She doesn’t date jocks.
All this sharp, sexy over-achiever wants is a little fun, an escape from her career driven life.

“I don’t want to miss any more.”
Mira Lyn Kelly is my favorite romance writer. No doubt about it, hands down. Her books feel like coming home. Her heroes make you swoon, her heroines make you wish you were them – this is the case with Wade and Harlow.
And Mira knocks it out of the park again with this book!
“This is a man who tries. Though why he tries so hard with me, I don’t know.”
*I was not ready for the ultimate scorching-but-oh-so-sweet swoonfest that is Wade Grady!* He’s driven, he’s always fought for and gone after whatever he wanted. He’s a good guy, and a dirty talker. Wade is downright perfect.
“I don’t walk outside the lines. Ever. But for some reason this man brings out a part of me that wants to grab hold of the adventure and just say yes.”
Harlow’s the reserved, cautious type. She’s an overachiever who’s put her career first, and she’s driven, just like him. But unlike him, she doesn’t take risks. She does what’s expected of her, just like she’s always done. But now she’s ready to take a leap.
Wade needs a fake girlfriend for his brother’s wedding, and he can’t find one. Then they meet at a bar with a few friends, and she ends up agreeing to be his date and going with him. I mean, what’s 10 days, right? And maybe she can learn to let herself go a bit by doing something she’d typically never do.
Except 10 days can either not be enough, be a lifetime, or be life-changing. In this case, and for these two, all of the above.
What started out as something fake develops into something that is so very real. The small touches, the glances, their talks, and every little thing between them showing there’s something going on… it was heartwarming and so sweet.
And the chemistry between them… you know Mira Lyn Kelly NEVER disappoints!
“‘…And then I met you. And you showed me what I was missing. And I want it. I want a life. I want love. And most of all, I want you.'”
What it comes down to for me is always what the book made me feel, and it made me smile, and get all emotional and outright happy. The good guy that is Wade needed his own good girl, and she needed someone to show her that her life could be so much more!
A downright perfect fourth book for an amazing series!
Mira does it again! I just adored Wade and Harlow – this is the best Slayers Hockey book yet!
A fake relationship romance with witty banter, steamy tension, and a surprising emotional journey hooked me from the first page.
I love Mira Lyn Kelly’s hockey heroes!!! <3
I love the Slayers but OMG! Wade is my one of my new book boyfriends. He is such a great guy in need of a fake girlfriend for his brother’s wedding and none of his friends are willing to help him out! He meets Harlow when she’s down and upset about being passed over for a promotion at her job and since she’s on vacation anyway she takes a chance on Wade. During their 10 days together they both discover sometimes you can find love when you least expect it!
Although I received an ARC of this book from the author I have purchased a copy because I loved it so much! I’m sure you will too!
Dirty Talker is no joke! HOT! I devoured this book in one sitting. These characters ended up more complex than meets the eye, I really enjoyed how they unfolded.
I still have a permanent smile on my face even though I finished this book a while ago. I’m usually into brooding male caracters, so I must admit, I didn’t like Wade in the first two chapters. He seemed way to cocky, full of himself, too arogant. And then I had the chance to really meet him, and fall in love with his caracter along with Harlow. They are taking a ten day trip to his hometown, pretending to be a couple, for his brothers wedding. Since there are so many books with pretend relationship theme, I admit I didn’t expect much from the plot. But it was refreshing, original and a very enjoyable read. A true romantic comedy. Wade discussions about his ego cracked me up, and you must read the book so you’ll understand what “be the bunny” means. Harlow is such a loving caracter, mature, self respecting, not overly dramatic or jealous . The chemistry between them is sizzling, and I loed the fact that the author gave them a chance to know each other before making them jump in the bed together. So we know for a fact, it’s not just about the physical attraction.
Since this is my first read from this author now I must go and read the former three books in the series.
One of the best fake-to-real relationship books I’ve read!
Wade and Harlow are so much fun. I love that the story takes place during the off-season so we get to see Wade the man instead of Wade the hockey player, especially since “jocks” aren’t Harlow’s type, or so she says, LOL.
The author does a great job with the dynamics of Wade’s family as well. I always enjoy this aspect of the story instead of just reading strictly about the hero/heroine.
Well done!
I loved Wade and Harlow’s story. Fabulously fun, fiercely moving and flaming hot, this book quickly pulled me in and had me totally under its spell. A terrifically tempting blend of emotion, humor, sweetness, cuteness, drama and heart is powerfully potent and will have you feeling all the swoon!! This is my forthright, volitional review.
That was so much fun as well as sexy. Dam dirty talking Wade was talking walking temptation. The fact that he was as sweet as cotton candy with a smile to melt panties makes him my new favorite Slayer. I love the Slayers series. The books are full of heat but they are also full of giggles and laughter. What’s not to love about Harlow? You feel for her trying so hard and sacrifices her happiness to get her father to love her. I’m so glad she finally loved herself and knew she was worthy of love just as she was. All of the characters were actually important to the story. There were no filler characters like you find in some other authors books. I throughly enjoyed getting attached to the characters. Well done Mira! Until next time y’all happy reading.
Be the Bunny!? Lol!
Super sweet hero Wade and tough sweetheart Harlow are the newest couple in Slayers hockey franchise. This is a fake relationship to love trope and done incredibly well!! I have loved all the Slayers stories with Vaughn being my favorite so far, but I’m afraid that he may have been replaced with Wade. The feels in this story are absolutely incredible – almost the whole way thru the entire book! There are feels, lots of laughs, grins at the sweetness and character development with each character growing and becoming their best self. There’s no real drama between the main characters, though there is some drama with characters associated with each of them. I just found myself grinning the entire time I read this! If you’re looking for a feel good story, light on drama but heavy on hawt and sweet, this is for you!
Wade needs a fake relationship to take home for his brother’s wedding. You find out why when he gets home, it was not what I expected. Wade meets Harlow on one of her worst days ever. She is a workaholic with no time for anything, but on this bad day of hers, a bit of Wade’s charm and a few martinis, she agrees to take a break from her life. The best part of that is the next day when she doesn’t recognize who she has promised to spend a week with! She is so unimpressed with Wade and his celebrity status, and he wants her to like him, that he goes to a buddy for help. The buddy kinda bows him for and tells him to ‘be a bunny’. Wade trying to bring out his inner puck bunny was hilarious and cute at the same time! The two become good friends and grow closer in a short time and surprisingly, it is Wade who wants more, and not just physical. They get their HEA with more friendship, laughs and shmexy times!
There was only one slight gripe that I have and that is with the title. I think that for a title of Dirty Talker, there should be more dirty talking but this is minor gripe in the grand scheme of everything. I just loved this story and look forward to re-reading it soon! Don’t miss Harlow and Wade’s story – it would be a shame! Bravo Ms. Kelly and can’t wait for more Slayers!
“Be the bunny.”
Fake relationship stories are my jam so I was excited to read Dirty Talker. I love Mira Lyn Kelly’s Slayers series and I knew I would be in for an entertaining read. She did not disappoint. Wade and Harlow are fun, steamy, and so perfect for one another.
Wade is such a sweetheart. He needs a fake girlfriend for his brother’s wedding and when Harlow agrees to accompany him, he’s not expecting to start to have feelings for her. When he realizes that he does, he is all in and it was so refreshing. He becomes determined to win Harlow over and how he does it will leave a giant smile on your face.
Harlow is all work and no play. All of her life, she has wanted her father’s love and respect so she’s worked harder than anyone else and that’s left no time for fun. Spending time with Wade and his family helps her loosen up and realize what is really important in life.
“I want a life. I want love. And most of all, I want you.”
The banter between these two is hilarious and the chemistry is on fire. Wade and Harlow set the page on fire while also making you laugh out loud. They truly lift each other up and make each other better. Add in a surprisingly emotional and heartfelt conclusion and you have a delightfully entertaining story.
I loved Wade and Harlow!
Wade has a problem! He is in desperate need of a date for his brothers upcoming wedding back in his home town. He keeps asking all his team meets if they have a sister that would help him out, which doesn’t go down well! When he’s out with his teammates one night he bumps into banker Harlow, who is at a bit of a cross roads in her life herself. She over hears Wade talking and before you know she is volunteering to be his fake date, I mean it’s only for 10 days! But how quickly things can change in 10 days.
Wade and Harlow were both fantastic characters! Their banter was so good and their chemistry was just……HOT!
I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
This book has the perfect combination of sweet, hot and steamy!
This book is about Wade and Harlow; Wade is a hockey player and Harlow works at a bank. Wade has seen Harlow before, however, she doesn’t bat an eyelash at him. When he sees her again at a club, he is with his friends complaining about how crucial it is to have a date for his brother’s wedding! Harlow in her drunken state proposes that she’ll be his date! Thing is that the next day, she remembers that she has agreed to be someone’s date for a ten-day getaway, but doesn’t remember who! Imagine her surprise when she discovers who he is, she starts to feel reluctant to the agreement she made the night before… Will this dirty talker manage to convince Harlow to accompany him to the wedding?
This couple, oh my! I absolutely LOVED the plot and every single character! Hope you love it as much as I did! Happy Reading!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wade is the bunny!
Hockey player Wade Grady needs a date for his brother’s wedding so he can prevent any questions from his family but none of his friends will help him find someone. Banker Harlow Richards always did everything by the book, so it was out of character when she volunteered to be Wade’s date at the wedding in his hometown.
Wade originally just wanted a fake date but turning it into a real relationship with Harlow takes time and they only have ten days. But things can happen quickly between Wade and Harlow when his friend tells him to be the bunny!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This was another fabulous book by Mira Lyn Kelly. I absolutely loved Harlow and Wade. They were so fabulous and I just loved each of them equally. Wade was just an awesome guy that needed a fake girlfriend to take home for his brother’s wedding, one that would be ok with this being a one and done deal and not looking for a relationship. Harlow was just so great and I absolutely loved her. And then you have Harlow who was having a bad day and out with a coworker and volunteers to help Wade out, something that is so out of the norm for her that she almost backs out. But she doesn’t because she realizes she needs a vacation away from her work and this is the perfect thing to distract her. Wade and Harlow are on the same page- she is helping him out as a friend and that neither of them want a relationship, they just don’t have the time for one in their lives. Perfect… or is it? Well these two are just perfect for each other and wow the attraction between them is HOT! I seriously did not want to put this book down. So I didn’t, lol. If you have read and enjoyed the Chicago Slayers series then this book will not disappoint.
You just cannot beat a slow burn (you only think it’s a fake relationship) to a dirty talker with all of the feels and more and he’s going to make Good Girl his….she just doesn’t know it yet. LOVED IT!!
Wade may have a filthy mouth but he has a pure heart.
So sweet and sooo sexy and a really fun ride!
Wade is desperate for a date to his brother’s wedding. But not just the wedding, the week prior to the wedding in his hometown. And he needs not just a ‘date’ date, he needs a ‘relationship’ date.
After a particularly bad day at work – losing out on a promotion to someone less qualified than her – and a few yummy martinis, Harlow volunteers for the job. She’s tired of always being the one to say no to the fun she needs and deserves.
When she takes on a project, she all the way in. She does her research, learns her facts, she is a perfectionist and very competitive. The only problem she has is learning how to relax, let go of some of her rigidness and handle a little simple PDA.
Never one to turn down a challenge or do things half way, she is determined to make this act look perfect. Maybe a little too perfect.
This deserves more than just star ratings, it gets a 5 swoons and a ‘Hell Yeah!’ rating from me!!
Mira Lyn Kelly cannot write a bad book. That’s it. That’s the review.
Just kidding.
Wade and Harlow are the true definition of opposites attract in Dirty Talker. Wade needs a date for a wedding party, and when he meets Harlow out at the bar one night, and she ends up agreeing to go with him. I mean, honestly, what can really happen in 10 days? A lot apparently.
I LOVED the build up in this book. Harlow is a character that I really related to because she really was someone that needed routine and needed to take more chances. Wade was the perfect person to help balance her out and I LOVED how their relationship developed throughout the story. And when things got hot, they got HOT HOT HOT.
Just so many things to say about this book. A perfect addition to the Slayers Hockey stories. Although it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the other books as well, you won’t be disappointed!
Wade is funny, sweet and an all around good guy. Harlow was refreshing as a strong and determined heroine who had no problem speaking her mind. Another great slayer book. Loved it and can’t wait for the next one!
