From the New York Times Bestselling Author of The Resistance comes this new STANDALONE contemporary romance. Because first love deserves a second chance . . .One month. One movie. One shot at a second chance.I fell madly in love at first sight with Jane Lewis. The girl with bright green eyes, a pretty smile, and great ass owned my heart. I thought she was happy with the status quo, but ten years … she was happy with the status quo, but ten years later, I foolishly let her go. Despite dating other women, no one compares to my first love. We are meant to be together, and I’m going to try my damnedest to convince her of that.
Luke Anders tricked me. The deal was sealed before I knew he was behind it.
We agreed to be just friends. Simple. Easy. But it’s not just the weather that’s hot in Texas. I was a fool to think I could resist him. He knows how to work his charms and those kissable lips, that great jaw, and biceps. We are here to work, but he has become downright distracting.
I’m strong. I can handle one month of his flirtatious sexual torture. But if I happen to fall in bed with that sexy bastard for a night, or three, does that make me weak? Asking for a friend, of course.
I guess I’m about to find out when love gets messy, it’s not just the talk that’s dirty.

Sometimes you need to grow up to truly appreciate what’s right in front of you.
Dirty Talk is technically a Standalone by S.L. Scott. However, it’s also part of the TALK TO ME SERIES with SWEET TALK, which is supposed to come before this one, but the author writes the characters that cross over somewhat vaguely so that it wont matter which one you read first.
So read or listen at your own leisure.
HEA with no cliffhangers!
Story
Wounded egos combined with miscommunication, creates a storm in the hearts of our two lovers.
Young love really can be foolish!
This is a SPICY story! There is a lot of dirty talk and HOT loving, so if you don’t like that kind of stuff, please pass.
For those that DO, enjoy!
She dumped him in an effort to see if he would come after her. I don’t get it, but she did it. Misunderstandings and interference by liars made Jane run, and she has regrets ever since.
Jane has high hopes of redemption if she can get her screen play off the ground and make it successful. Then maybe all the pain will be worth it.
He can’t get her out of his mind. Jane was his first and only love, and like an idiot, he let her walk away. Despite his best attempts, no woman can replace her.
Luke calls in all his favors to get the script Jane is working on. He’s hedging his bets. The time on set will give him a chance to keep her close and try to convince her to be his again. Helping her make her dream a reality is his secret weapon.
The life we live while we are making our plans never turns out quite the way we hope. Jane and Luke have many obstacles to overcome. The biggest being their own stubborn brains. It was frustrating at times. You really wish you could handcuff the two together and lock them in a small room then refuse to let them out until they talk it out! Oh and while you are at it, do the same to the meddling A-holes, but just leave them there.
The hot fun times were good, and more than made up for the not so fun times. Overall it’s worth the listen.
Author
This is my first by S.L. Scott, and her title fits the writing! Her side character Danny was intriguing and I want to listen to his story.
Narrator(s)
Joe Hempel and Melissa Moran made a good team. They both bring the feels to the characters, as well as the smexy.

5 BRILLIANT stars! Be prepared for an amazing performance. This is one of the Best Second Chance Romances I have listened and read.
For goodness sake! Am I dreaming? This audio book is a wonderful combination of talent between the author, S. L. Scott, and the narrators, Joe Hempel & Melissa Moran. It was a pleasure to listen to their amazing performance. They did an excellent job.
S. L. Scott is one of my favourite authors. She NEVER disappoints me. Joe & Melissa are like “The Dream Team”. Their voices matched perfectly to the characters she created for this book. They made me fall deep into the story. She chose wisely. It was like I was there, listening and imagining from the first row.
As I said above, the performance left me speechless as the story. The plot is unique. I love everything. Jane and Luke were brought to live brilliantly. This is one of the Best Second Chance Romance I have listened and read. Yes! I listened and read at the same time. It was a powerful combination. I highly recommend you to do both things. You will enjoy it to the fullest.
I spend a great time while listening and reading. I felt a mix of feelings. It was filled with funny and steamy moments. Every time I listen to Joe perform Luke I felt goose bumps on my skin. Luke is the man you dream of. He is cocky, sweet and quite possessive. His passion is his job but Jane will change that. He was so focused on his career that he forgot what it really matters in life. Hopefully he will rectify the situation.
I found myself very identified with Jane. She is the kind of woman who knows what she wants. Her professional life is pretty perfect. Her dreams are becoming true but her heart is missing something (someone). He has a name. Luke. He is her Achilles heel, her soft spot. They had a past. They did hurt each other. However, fate had other plans for them. They will have a second chance to fix what they had or to heal and move on in different paths.
For audio lovers (like me) this is an audio book you shall not miss. It has all the elements that make it perfect.

**4.5 stars**
This was my first S.L. Scott book and it didn’t disappointment. I’m a sucker for happily ever afters in general, but add old lovers reconnecting to make that happily ever after and I’m even happily. Writing this decide without spoilers is rough, but bare with me please!
I love Jane as a character. She has loved the same man since she was 17 and he was a boy, but a decision she makes keeps them apart until they find their way back to each other. I felt for Jane on this story. I connected with Jane because of her ability to be strong when she needed to be and to trust her feelings at other times when she needed to. Making the decision she did wasn’t an easy one and it slightly wrecked her until Luke was back in life, but I understand why she made that decision. Jane trusted herself to make the best decision at that moment and I loved her for it.
Luke. I felt for him. Loving the same girl since you’re 17 isn’t something that everyone can say they’ve done. Winning back said girl is his challenge and one he has accepted because he can’t live without her. He might not have been the brightest at times, but he loves Jane to the fullest, risking everything to make her dreams possible. I loved this aspect of his character and it made the story that much better.
This book can be read as standalone, but it mentions Danny Westover, Luke’s best friend, who has his own story- Sweet Talk. I can’t wait to more of S.L. Scott’s work.
I really enjoyed reading this story of Jane and Luke. A story about rediscovering a love that seems lost. Even though they broke up, they still have so many feelings for each other that don’t seem to go away. And when fate seems to be putting them together again, they try to rekindle that love that is still burning between them. Lots of trouble and even secrets still in their way, can they find a way back to each other? You’ll need to read it to know if they get a happy ending ….
It is a story about two people that lost that first love but wanting to give their romance another chance even though both have been hurt. Loved the relationship between Luke and Jane and how the author was portraying the story.
A solid 5 stars for me!
Oh my god!!!! I absolutely LOVED this book!!! This was the first book I have read by S.L. Scott and I am in love with her writing. This book had me drawn in from the first chapter. I could not put this book down. Loved this book.
