A New Duet in the Dirty Filthy Universe from NYT Bestselling Author, Laurelin Paige.
It was Donovan’s idea. I don’t even know how he got me on board. Sure, I could use a break from the one-night stands and merry-go-round lovers in my bed, but I hadn’t thought that putting a ring on a woman’s finger was the answer. Especially not that woman. Elizabeth Dyson needs to marry to get access to her …
Especially not that woman.
Elizabeth Dyson needs to marry to get access to her father’s company and take over as president. If I take on the role of groom, she’ll hand over her advertising subsidiary to Reach Inc. the firm I own with Donovan, my supposed best friend.
Problem is that, even though the girl is confident and sexy and brilliant as fuck, she doesn’t know the first thing about running an empire. And she’s awfully particular about the wedding plans, even though it’s a FAKE wedding, for all intents and purposes. And we can’t seem to spend more than five minutes together without wanting to tear each other’s hair out.
Worst of all, I can’t stop imagining what it would be like to kiss her.
And soon I’m unsure how much of this business arrangement is just play and how much of it is real.
Book one of two.
“Paige has done it again with another scorching, obsessive read.” — New York Times bestselling author Julia Kent

I hate cliffhangers! Unless I am warned before purchasing…ugh!
Author always delivers.
I’m not a fan of cliffhangers. This book was okay but a little slow moving at times. Some situation felt kind of unrealistic, really in this day and age?
Ends on a cliffhanger of sorts though…
God read
Dirty Sexy Player is the first book in the Dirty Games Duet and it pulled me in from the very first page. I had an idea of what was going to happen by reading the prelude, Dirty Sexy Bastard, and at least now I know why Weston King will do whatever Donovan Kincaid ask him too, and maybe this little arrangement will lessen the hold that Donovan has over Weston. I am not a real big fan of Donovan right now, but who knows maybe that will change.
Elizabeth Dyson, wants her fathers company and the only way to get it before she turns twenty nine is to get married, per the instructions her father left in his will, so Weston takes on the job for various reasons and those two are like oil and water, they just don’t mix, yet the chemistry between the two is undeniable.
As Elizabeth and Weston become engaged and prepare for a wedding that they have to make people believe is because they love one another, secrets are kept and secrets are revealed. I am so glad that I already have the next book on my Kindle because I really need to know what happens now!
Ah Weston. The man is a playboy, set on never settling down, never falling in love. The man has fallen hard and it’s both sweet and painful.
Elizabeth just wants to prove to her family that she can be Dyson Media. He’s a means to an end. But she’s falling for him.
They communicate with hate even though they are just words, so neither knows how the other feels, or even how deep their feelings go. Is it convenience? Love?
And when the wedding day arrives, it seems as though all the pieces fall into place. The words are real. So real that they offer hope. Hope that is quickly dashed with a secret and a mis-communication.
Oh! And Donovan?! He’s s PIA!
What just happened? Weston and Elizabeth just hit rock bottom and my heart is breaking. On to Dirty Sexy Games!
I received a copy and voluntarily left a review and all opinions are my own.
This is the first book that I have read by Laurelin Paige, yes, I know what you are thinking. Who hasn’t read a book by Laurelin Paige? But that is me, always late to the game but once I discover an author like Laurelin I am so hooked! She had me enraptured by Weston and Elizabeth and their “fake” relationship that is so real you feel deep in your bones. The emotions and passion coursing between these two is enough to set any reader aflame and Laurelin just had to leave it on a cliffhanger so I was left wanting and wondering where things between these two are going.
Weston King is all kinds of yumminess and even though he is an alpha male, he is lacking all the asshole that goes with it, which is very refreshing. I also was completely taken with this man when I found out how much he loves a woman who is independent and takes charge and we soon find that Elizabeth is just the woman to keep in tied up in knots and salivating both in and out of the boardroom.
Elizabeth Dyson is a woman who knows what she wants and will do anything to get the company that should be hers free and clear. Even commit herself to a man she doesn’t know. If only desires didn’t run rampant and hearts didn’t get involved. I love seeing a heroine that is so practical and analytical learn to use her heart as a guide instead of just her head.
Laurelin Paige delivers a start to the Dirty Games Duet that keeps us panting and hanging on an emotional precipice and impatient for more. I highly recommend Dirty Sexy Player for a read that is steamy with characters that are sure to touch your soul. I fell hard for Weston and Elizabeth and am beyond excited and greedy to read more about this explosive, dynamic couple in Dirty Sexy Games. Laurelin’s talent and amazing characters draw us in and keep us glued to our seat and ready to follow these them anywhere!
Wow, I love Weston. He’s hot, sexy, an alpha male and a player but that all comes to an end when his partner comes up with a business plan. This book had me wanting more with every page I turned. Holy cliffhanger, I cant wasnt to find out what happens with Weston and Elizabeth
As usual the author gives us an H that takes some getting used to! I’m not saying he isn’t dreamy just an arrogant ass but never fear our h is just the feisty thing to put him in his place.
I can honestly day I wasn’t a huge fan of Elizabeth at first either. She is absolutely a snob regardless of her background. But just like our sexy Weston, she grows on you.
But just as you’re sure everything is finally going to slide into place…bam! 101 problems and no solutions in sight. I’m chomping at the bit to start Dirty Sexy Games because shit just got real! Pardon my lame expression.
Good book, left me wanting more! Had to read the whole series.
Oh, how I’ve been waiting for Weston and Elizabeth’s story since meeting them in Dirty Filthy Rich Men. It was evident they had some serious sexual tension between them…and oh, boy. It was so much more tense than I expected. As they fought against their attraction to each other it only fueled the friction between the two and heightened the level of heat.
With the tables slightly turned in Dirty Sexy Player (unlike many other romances), Elizabeth’s wealth far surpasses Weston’s and. If it hadn’t been for her misogynistic father, she wouldn’t be coming to Weston and Donovan for help to claim what should be hers.
While they work to put on the biggest act of their lives to make their relationship appear as real as problem, the act soon begins to blur the lines between what is real and fake. Their instant attraction to each other leads why to opening doors of feelings they can’t seem to work through. With the relationship beginning on false pretenses, how can they be sure what they feel or see in the other’s eyes is real?
I look forward to the second part of their story. I can’t wait to see how they work through the next part of their relationship after the whopper that was dropped at the end of this book.
“…I just didn’t expect to actually drop dead from his sexiness.” – Elizabeth
This book…my friends…is in one word… “sexy” . It’s the kind of sexy that just collides with what is going on around you and holds you in its hot…and yes…dirty thrall. It is also the extremely anticipated first half of Weston’s story for all who were “Team Weston” during the book duo (with Prologue) that started the whole saga, the “Dirty Duet”.
Dirty Filthy Rich Boys (Dirty Duet, #0.5) by Laurelin Paige Dirty Filthy Rich Men (Dirty Duet, #1) by Laurelin Paige Dirty Filthy Rich Love (Dirty Duet, #2) by Laurelin Paige
I suppose enough backstory from the first series is provided in this book for a reader to begin with this duet and nothing is spoiled for you if you were to read the first duet after finishing this story. If you enjoyed this book then I would certainly encourage you to read the first duet. I love the subtle reference from the movie, “Sabrina” and in so referencing, the story also alludes to the poem,“Sabrina Fair” from John Milton in the first series. Many readers fell in love with Weston’s super sexy dirty player persona as opposed to Donovan’s over-the-top barely emotive Uber Alpha asshole persona which has its charm for those of us who love an asshole who is in control. Please note…the operative phrase in the preceding sentence is “in control”. Donovan is in control of himself and those in which he has…ahem…some interest.
This book begins with Donovan’s arrangement for Weston to marry for “business” reasons. The woman he is to marry is completely on board with the proposition. In fact, it will benefit her greatly, as well, due to some gender bias clause her father put in his will when stipulating how and when she would be in charge of the business empire he bequeathed to her. The plan is a monthslong engagement, a suitable wedding and then a quiet divorce. For many reasons, Donovan strongly suggests that Weston and Elizabeth refrain from any sex and Weston must refrain from his favorite activities while engaged and married to lend credibility and avoid any challenge to the legitimacy of their relationship. He is quite the manwhore. Although he does like to please his women, but it has always been one and done.
This is a perfect set-up for sexual tension because naturally Weston finds Elizabeth super attractive not just because she is gorgeous but because she is smart. Elizabeth just about loses it over how handsome Weston is and while he makes her comfortable and is willing to teach her all about business, at times he can be a real jerk. Not to mention that he checks out every woman that comes across his path and his sexual exploits are on display online for the world to see. The shifting dynamic between these two is the stuff in which we, romantics, lose ourselves. Most especially as they get to know one another, it’s like they are circling each other moving in closer and closer. Their first kiss described is a work of art by this author.
The skillful relatable writing is ultimately what makes this story work…to include the masterful way this author writes the erotic scenes. These scenes are every dirty girls’ delectable, delightful, delicious daydream come true in the written word. Ms. Page does not disappoint on this score.
The end is almost fairytale-like. But…there is a curve ball thrown at the reader and given who Weston is…this is a highly probable occurrence. It sets the reader up for the next book in the duet but I really do not mind. I received my money’s worth of entertainment. This book is far better than some mind-numbing movie and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
So friends…if you like a dirty distraction in your day… (Believe me…here lately…these distractions are what keep me sane, happy and hopeful.) …then open this one up and say hello to Weston…oh…and Elizabeth too!!! Afterall, she is a worthy heroine for our Dirty Sexy Player.
Favorite quotes:
“I liked women. Period. But I did have a type. Smart.
I could spot a hot brain a mile away.” – Weston
“I was grateful for every part of her that she let me see, thankful for her trust and the honor, and I showed her in every way I knew. I made up ways just for her, watching her closely to gauge what she liked. What she loved. So many times I’d prided myself on giving a woman pleasure, but it had always been for my own satisfaction. So I could take the glory. So I could bask in the title of best lover. But with every kiss, with every graze of her skin, tonight I truly wanted her to feel good. Wanted her to know how beautiful she was, how fucking incredible. I wanted to please her. I wanted to love her.” – Weston
I enjoyed this book, craving a happy ending, when the end came and guess what?, one must buy another book to read the ending. I’m disappointed and haven’t decided if I will get the other book. I totally loved the Fixed Series and continue to buy additional books for that series but Dirty Sexy Player totally blindsided me requiring the additional book.
Holy hell! Laurelin Paige has done it again. I have been waiting for Weston’s story and it did not disappoint. I loved watching Weston grow as a man and a person through this book and I can’t wait to continue his journey. Jacob Morgan was the perfect Weston and Elena Wolfe was amazing as always. Counting down the days until Dirty Sexy Games.
No one writes domineering alpha males and the smart, fabulous women who love them quite like Laurelin Paige. Yes, Weston & Elizabeth are sexy & dirty as the title states, but they’re also vulnerable & endearing & infuriating as they embark on a fake relationship to save her company. What fun it is to watch them antagonize each other while they pretend/really fall in love, plus we get lots of quality time with the delicious Donovan Kincaid- swoon!! Yes, the ending leaves you hanging, that’s what duets do, but no worries, the second book is already out there waiting for you. This is a must read!!
*As for the audiobook, Jacob Morgan & Elena Wolfe expertly bring multiple characters to life with their top notch, sexy narration.
Easy Read!

Donovan stole my breath away so imagine the combo Weston /Donovan!! #Dead
Weston is the guy that we love to hate because he is a womaniser and commitment phobe!
Elizabeth Dyson needs to get married in order to inherit from her dad’s company. Donovan came up with a plan that will suit them both professionally.
Weston has to play the attentive and caring fiancé and let me tell you one thing HE PLAYS IT SO WELL!!
Elizabeth and him together are like water and oil, not compatible. They argue all the time and the sexual tension between them is so palpable, I could feel it!!
“She was the kind of woman who could carry the world.”
However , it is only business between them or is it more? Will Elizabeth’s cousin find out the truth? Will Weston and Elizabeth go through with it?
“So many times I’d prided myself on giving a woman pleasure, but it had always been for my own satisfaction. So I could take the glory. So I could bask in the title of best lover.”
In a nutshell , this book had it all and I devoured it!! However, now…I need to recover from this ending!!
