The world thinks I’m a call girl. Now I have no choice but to be his fake fiancée.I’m not going to law school to become some rich man’s arm candy. Hell no. I intend to be a high-powered lawyer or nothing. That all goes to hell when I’m photographed with the president’s playboy brother. How can I get a job at a respectable firm if everyone thinks he pays me for a good time? Now that the president is … me for a good time?
Now that the president is involved, it’s clear: I’m trapped being Graham Blackpool’s fake fiancée.
The ring on my finger is all politics.
But it’s starting to feel so, so real…

A fast paced contemporary romance of a would be lawyer and a jaded billionaire. I have read quite a lot of this authors work and know she can write a warm, emotion filled and engaging romance. Whilst I haven’t read any of the “Dirty” series of books (this is a stand alone so you don’t need to have done so) I read a chapter reveal and was very intrigued to read this story of Graham and Bellamy. Whilst this isn’t my favourite Amelia Wilde story, I did still enjoy it.
Graham is the brand new president’s troublesome younger brother, during a staged media photo opportunity he meets Bellamy. Unfortunately the papers decide this by the book law graduate is a woman of ill repute and so ensues a series of attempts to shake the media of their tales. This includes a fake relationship and, when that doesn’t work, a fake engagement. At least things start out as fake…..
I quite liked Graham until he met Bellamy, at which point he turned into quite an arrogant and unpleasant a$$. For most of the story he was pretty pleasant and likeable, though he did occasionally irritate me or puzzle me with his cold attitude. Bellamy is a really strong character though at first I felt she was selling out her principles. However given how devastating the media attention proved to be towards her fledgling law career, I can sort of understand her desperate attempts to salvage her future.
I was a little puzzled by the whole media hype, it seemed far fetched, but it is explained at the end of the story and was sort of obvious when it was. I did struggle to believe in the connection between Bellamy and Graham, they seemed to go from barely tolerating each other to being madly in love, with no interactions to show how or why. This is why the book didn’t rate more highly for me, other than this the plot and writing is very good.
This took me a couple of hours to read, and with the busy plot I wasn’t tempted to skim read parts of it. It is fairly steamy at times, though I wouldn’t say there was too much. It fitted in well and seemed a natural part of the story. I’d recommend this to any fan of the author or to anyone looking for a well written, low on angst read to fill a couple of hours.
Amelia is a new author to me so I had no expectations of how this book would go but I loved it. I know some people don’t go for the fake girlfriend or marriage of convenience trope but I really enjoyed this one. It’s a little different because they aren’t in the relationship because it would benefit one of them, but someone outside their relationship. Don’t worry no spoilers but it was nice to see some originality here.
This is the story of Graham and Bellamy, a billionaire and a law student about to graduate. They find themselves in a fake relationship and then a marriage of convenience. However, the more time they spend together the more real their feelings are. When they eventually say “I Do” although to some it is the marriage of convenience they have portrayed, to them it’s the real deal. I loved watching their relationship develop from initially enemies to finally lovers. There is plenty of heat to keep those pages turning so don’t worry this isn’t a clean and sweet one, but definitely a little dirty. There is a shed load of car s*x which is super hot! Bellamy is a strong independent woman dealt a shitty hand and Graham is the arrogant billionaire that she brings down a peg or two.
If you are looking for an, enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience with a twist then look no further. Dirty Scandal ticks all the boxes.
A welcome addition to the Dirty series. Graham is the ‘playboy’ billionaire. Bellemy is a soon to be lawyer. They meet and sparks fly. He is instantly drawn to her even if their initial meeting is a wee bit awkward. They are manipulated into a fake relationship that eventually becomes real. I love that we see the cast of characters from the series. This book includes sibling rivalry; overbearing, manipulative parents; hot, hot love scenes; insta-love; fake relationship that becomes real….it’s a fantastic little escape. A quick read. I received a copy for an honest review.
Dirty Scandal by Amelia Wilde is a fake engagement, contemporary romance told in dual POV. Although this is book six in a series, it is not necessary to read the others first as each story is a complete standalone.
Bellamy, brilliant law student and barista, meets Graham, playboy billionaire businessman and POTUS’s brother, when a PR stunt brings him into the coffee shop where she works. Sparks fly between them and a tension-filled misunderstanding gives the media the wrong impression and they run with a story painting both Graham and Bellamy in a bad light.
By request (or rather direct order) of the U.S. President, they are forced to fake an engagement to draw media attention to their upcoming nuptials and away from POTUS. There are lots of twists and turns along the way and shocking secrets are revealed. What begins as fake between Bellamy and Graham, soon becomes very real.
I enjoyed Bellamy and Graham’s love story. Chock full of chemistry, intrigue, drama, secrets, twists, and steamy scenes. This was a fun read.
This book is about Graham, the President’s playboy brother. Graham meets Bellamy at the coffee shop where she works while attending law school. A series of mishaps and craziness ensues and a scandal is in the news. A good read about second chances and finding love in the last place you would expect to look. I have loved all the Dirty series books.
I received an arc and am voluntarily leaving a review.
