Can ghosts really talk?
J.J. Graves is about to find out when her past comes back to haunt her. But before she and Jack can resolve her past, they need to deal with his.
Six years ago Jack was left for dead during a SWAT raid he commanded. He never speaks of what happened that day, but he doesn’t have a choice after someone starts murdering his men. According to the FBI, Jack is either next on … Jack is either next on the list, or he’s the one behind it all.

Fine installment to the series! What used to be a quiet community has really taken a turn for the worse. Murders, dad’s back, and lots of action. J.J.’s sense of humor doesn’t shine as brightly in this book so I missed that.
I listened to the audio book. I found it interesting the way the narrator pronounced “bagel” and “vagrant”. It wasn’t with the long “a” sound. I have heard it pronounced like that before but can’t remember where I was when I heard it. The female narrator doesn’t do much for me narrating the male parts of the book. I think she is great at the female characters, but having her read the parts of Jack and the other guys is somewhat disconcerting.
I kind of tuned out Jack and Jaye’s sex scenes. I was more interested in the murder mystery. The situation with JJ’s father, the need to be up under Jack as he tried to do his job, etc. was a bit over the top.
I want to see if Jack and JJ make it to the altar, so I will keep pushing forward.
I have read this series. I couldn’t wait for the next volume. Great reads.
I was introduced to this series via a Freebooksy give away of the first in the series Dirty Little Secrets and have read all the rest of them. Great series.
I love this series. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. These books are hard to put down.
Another amazing book to add to the series. I am officially hooked and can’t get enough. Liliana Hart continues to write intense story lines that keep you guessing till the very end.
I love this series and blew through it in a week.
Hart’s writing is good and her characters are interesting. The dialogue is convincing and the story is engaging. There’s a little sex, but it seems healthy and not over-done. Basically, there’s nothing wrong with the book at all. But it didn’t rise above the average in any way for me. In the sea of books, it’s just one ordinary drop. I’m looking for bigger gulps.
1st time I read anything by Lilianna Hart , but found I couldn’t stop reading till I finished. Great writing, will definitely read more books by this author.
I love the JJ Grave Mysteries. You pulled into the book and before you know it “The End”. Jay is an independent women but is still very insecure. But when called to a crime scene she is all business. I am looking forward to the next installment.
I love the Lilian Hart books
The entire series is good
While hardly a masterpiece, the characters are engaging. If the reader can ignore simple sentences and suspend disbelief over improbable situations, the story is entertaining. Some skillful editing would have improved this immeasurably.
I’ve really enjoyed reading this series so far, how could you not with a protagonist who runs a funeral home, her father is on the run from the FBI, & her lover is a sheriff. Wonderful stuff & the dialog is very good. Looking forward to more of her books.
I love all of these books. They keep my attention and are written well
I read all the books on this series and found the characters interesting and the situations real. This one was hard to put down. I did learn more about procedures surrounding death than I ever had before but it was done with an eye towards information not shock value. The whole series is very well done.
Love the relationship between J.J. And Jack. This is a great series.
This is the third book i have read in this series and I have enjoyed them all. The action, the love story, and all the crazyness. Unique characters, and really off the wall situations.
Liliana Hart is one of my favorite authors. So far I’ve read 3 of the J.J. Graves Mystery series and loved all three of them.
I couldn’t put it dowm
