Only one word can describe Sebastian “Bash” Fury… is a liability who could ruin my career.
Even worse, he’ll destroy my willpower.
I should despise that cocky bastard.
But something about his swagger and quick smile make him irresistibly charming.
Despite my best efforts, things are heating up and the ice around my heart is starting to melt…
All because of this dirty player.

This was a top read for me out of this batch of Cocky Hero Club Offerings. This is a Hockey/Sports romance and I have a great love of the Hockey Romance.
Sebastian, aka Bash, Fury is a hockey superstar. Bash has hockey in his blood as his father also spent time in the league. Bash has an attitude like no other. His attitude is what gets him traded to the his new team. Where he is confronted by a female coach.
Greer is a woman and the head coach of the Scorpions hockey team where Bash has landed. The pressure is on her to do well with her expansion team. Greer has to prove the she has a right to be in the league coaching.
Bash and Greer’s are like oil and water. Bash is doing everything he can not make life easy for Greer. Things only get more intense when Greer realizes how attracted she is to Bash. Greer needs Bash to fall in line so that everything she wants is not at risk.
The writing in this book was wonderful! It was well thought out. The characters have so much dimension. I highly recommend this book. Their interactions are entertaining, so much chemistry in this story. This was a 5/5 read for me. You should absolutely out this on your TBR List.
Dirty Player is the perfect name for Bash’s story and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who fell for him. I loved his arrogance, his swagger, his cockiness and the way he made Greer feel. Greer is the first female NHL head coach and is a strong beautiful woman who doesn’t put up with crap. Bash and Greer’s chemistry is off the charts hot and with all the sparks flying there is no denying they belong together. The writing is great, the characters are well developed and that ending … wow!
This is my first read by this author and sports romance is one of my favorite troupes and I certainly wasn’t disappointed by this story. One that fits completely into the Cocky Hero Club world.
This book is fun, sexy, and a forbidden work romance that just keeps you gripped with the chemistry and the way the relationship is developing. Bash is a loose cannon, bad boy, and the cocky bastard of the NHL. He is hot as hell and knows it. He is also a whole heap of trouble. Greer is a big thing in the NHL and the first female head coach. She has so much to prove and so much to lose.
The push and pull of this story is sexy as hell and I enjoyed watching the growth that these two pulled from each other. I loved watching them prove people wrong and when their guards come down they see clearly who the other person really is.
This book is a great read and I recommend it completely. Another new author to me that I will definitely read more of.
Reviewer: Donna
Gwyn McNamee is a new author to me and after reading Dirty Player I’m left wondering why I haven’t read any of her other books, that’s about to change because as soon as time permits I’m going to search out her previous works. I love hockey romance so as soon as I read the blurb this book was always going to be on my radar and let me tell you this book was everything I expected and want in a 5 star read, it’s a story that ticked all my boxes and I highly recommend it to all romance lovers.
The NHL is a male dominated sport so Greer being the first woman head coach carries a lot of weight on her shoulders, she is the future role model for woman who want to make it in the NFL and she also needs her rookie team to succeed so what she can’t do is fall around or fall for one of her players……
Bash is the star player of the Scorpions and like all stars he is cocky and full of himself but when his head coach catches his eye he knows he needs to fall in line if he will ever have a chance with Greer.
Two professionals at the top of their careers could be risking everything if they cross that line, will love make or break them…..
I loved everything about this book, I laughed, I swooned and I sighed a lot as I join Greer and Bash on their romantic journey. The banter and the romance were a perfect mix abd this couple certainly kept me on the edge of my seat as I wondered will he win the girl or will she walk away. A great read that I highly recommend to all sports lovers as well as romance lovers.
Bash Fury and Greer aka Coach start off on a very rocky and explosive path. Coach is not happy to say the least when she finds out that Bash Fury has been traded to the Scorpions, her team. Coach has worked her behind off to make it to where she is now, the head coach of a NHL team. Bash is a playboy and knows how to get the ladies.
Though Bash and Greer are not on the same page when they meet. Bash is here to play hockey and isn’t really concerned about the consequences of his actions on the ice. Whereas Greer sees the team as hers and she believes she will make Bash play correctly or is going to ride the bench. So these two butt heads and have words with each other but there is also sexual tension between them that Coach doesn’t want to visit. Though Greer doesn’t really stand a chance against Bash’s charms. These two have things that they could both lose, especially Greer. Are these two going to be able to figure out a way to be together or is everything or going to get in the way.
I really loved to see how the relationship between these two developed and evolved over the course of the book. This is definitely one of my favorite books by Gwyn McNamee and first book I have read from this series.
Sebastian “Bash” Fury is one hot as sin hockey player!! Him and Greer melt the ice on the rink. She’s the new coach of his hockey team and shouldn’t mix business with pleasure, but Bash is irresistible. Their chemistry is hot and the sex even hotter! A great hockey romance.
4 stars
I rarely like sports romance because I have a hard time relating to them because I am not a sports enthusiast (other than baseball). However, this book made me want to be one. I could see the passion behind the sport of hockey and why it seems to incite tempers on the Ice.
Sebastian “Bash” was definitely a hotheaded man. Hockey seemed to be a good sport for him to get that aggression out. At times his behavior seemed a little over the top but that might just be me and the fact that it was centered around sports. I liked Greer and the fact that she was a female coach. Coming off the most recent winter Olympics where the US team won gold, I liked that it showcased how important girls are in sports as role models for other girls/women. These two definitely had chemistry. There were parts of the story that seemed a bit rushed (the S person) and it felt a little contrived and out of place.
This is the first time reading this author but I will be sure to check out other books by her.
Bash and Greer have a chemistry hot enough to melt the ice. A coach and player relationship is definitely forbidden in the world of sports however sometimes you just can’t resist the attraction. What happens when this dynamic duo gets together will have you in all your feels. When Bash finally faced his past I just wanted to hug…that man definitely didn’t have it easy. The ending was absolutely PERFECT!
Bash and Coach were freaking amazing!
Fire and ice, these two collided head on from the very start.
Their chemistry was OFF THE CHARTS despite all that held them apart.
When push comes to shove will they risk all they have worked for to be together? Or will life get in the way and throw them a curveball they couldn’t see coming?
I’m so in love with this book I have already ordered a paperback.
I love love love me a good hockey romance. This one was absolutely fantastic. So many sexy moments but also full of heart. Bash an arrogant hotheaded playboy. Greer a woman trying to make a name for herself in a man’s world. They are complete opposite but that’s what makes it so good. Their attraction and chemistry was fire. I need more, I wish I could read it again for the first time. Bash will completely steal your heart. A must read I highly recommend it.
Bash and Greer, Greer and Bash. *sigh They are perfect together! They say there is a fine line between love and hate and Greer and Sebastian sure did tow that line! These two had sparks flying right from the beginning and my first though was bring on the gasoline! The love and hate was so palpable as they each tried to deny it with good reasons.
And just when I got comfortable, twists and turns kept me guessing with a roller coaster of emotions rounding out the story and a revisit from Carter (Playboy Pilot) offering Bash advise completes this 5star read for me!
This is my first book from the author and I really enjoy. First I adore sports romance, secondly, it’s the first time I read one where a woman is a NHL coach! And super here for it, with all the girl power, specially in a profession dominated by men.
Bash Fury is one of the best hockey players there is, however he is a dirty player and fight all the time, which renders him a kick off of his team and he is traded. Now having to adapt to a new team, he has Greer as a new coach, the first female one in NHL.
Greer is a bada$$ woman! She doesn’t back down from anything and is so determined! With each chapter I was so proud of her. But now she need to control Bash bad temper, his hotness, dirty mouth and everything that will melt your panties! She doesn’t need that problem on her team.
As they have an amazing chemistry, from the beginning they butt headed. Both are very stubborn and their banter was awesome. But as they get to know each other better, Greer found out that there was more to the bad boy Bash than it shows.
I wasn’t expecting the ending but I loved a lot! This story brought so many heat, love, support and great friends. I was glad I read each and every page and I just it had more!
5 dirty stars for Gwyn McNamee and Dirty Player!! I LOVED everything about this book! I love hockey books and McNamee just delivered an amazing one! Sebastian “Bash” Fury is hot, and dirty AF. I would not say not anything he asked me.
McNamee delivers the first hockey book I’ve ever read that has a female head coach. Greer is an absolutely amazing character. As a female hockey coach she is strong, and feisty, and is just someone you can’t help but admire. After being traded to the Scorpions after another fight on the ice, this is Bash’s last chance to prove himself.
The fire between these two jumps off the page form the moment they meet. For two people who need to focus on their careers this is the last thing they need. Greer is trying to prove she’s in charge and won’t let a cocky player push her around. Sparks fly and temps flare with these two. Neither one planned on the other. This hot as sin hockey romance was pure perfection. Greer and Bash’s relationship alone was enough to have me sitting on the edge of my seat.
Dirty Player is the perfect addition to the Cock Hero Club world. If you have not read Gwyn McNamme before this is the perfect book to start with, if you have read her then you already know the amazing she is capable of.
I loved Bash and Greer! I really liked that we had a strong female lead in what is traditionally a man’s job. I found her fierce. Bash… he was a dirty talking hockey player that couldn’t resist her. I do feel like he needed to grow. He had things he needed to let go of so he could love her. I never saw the twist at the end coming! My mouth literally fell open! I loved this one!
First … holy hot!
Second … holy HOT!
Third … HOLY HOT!!!
Listen, this story was incredible on all kinds of fronts. Bash and Greer are fighters. Their characters are tough. They fight for what they want and they each want to win! Sebastian Fury is about to get knocked down by Greer Waterson and it is glorious! There’s gonna be a lot of fighting over Sebastian BASH Fury in Romancelandia! #betme lol
This story was super passionate and full of emotion. It held my attention from beginning to end. I could not get enough of their feistiness! Such a great plot that unfolded beautifully! SO DARN SEXY! ALL OF IT!!
Gwyn McNamee was a new-to-me author with this story and she impressed me so much, I’ve just downloaded an entire series of her books! HAPPY READING!
This was a sports romance like no other! I loved Greer’s sass, she’s not afraid to put anyone in their place and say what she thinks. I think it’s safe to say that Greer and Bash have a stubbornness about them which made their story all the more intriguing. It took me a while to get into their story but once I did there was no stopping me.
Dear God! Bash is a force to be reckoned with. He’s fit, he’s cocky, he’s a player. Hockey is his life. When he joins the Scorpions, he’s got attitude. Greer is the coach of the Scorpions and nothing and no one will tell her how to run her her team…especially Bash. Funny how it’s a fine line between love and hare.
These two butt heads from the get go, and man is it hot.
I devoured this book and enjoyed this book to the bits . This book is pure perfection and a treat to read. I literally binge read this book, Once I started reading it I couldn’t put it down it was so good. I read sports romance but I have never binge read a sports romance and finished it in matter of hours . Its saying something how good this book was. Bash Fury is ice hockey super star but with an attitude and temper to match. He gets traded to a new team and Greer is his new Coach. The plot , storyline ,chemistry everything was perfect. What I enjoyed was the author has also discussed the stereotype and how females have to work harder to prove them selves. If I could I would give this book more then 5 starts . This is the first time I have read Gwyn and I am wondering why haven’t I I have discovered her books yet.
When the name Sebastian “Bash” Fury is mentioned in the world of hockey everyone knows who you are talking about, the man has a reputation that follows him everywhere he goes. He is rough and unruly on the ice, has a temper that gets him into more trouble than most… and that is something hockey coach Greer Waterson wants no part of. But as she is soon to learn that little fact doesn’t seem to matter to her boss… she is getting the badboy of hockey rather she wants him or not!
Dirty Player is a perfectly blended hockey romance story that is destined to leave your heart happy. I loved this pairing, they were both stubborn, gave as good as they got, and knew how to keep the other on their toes. I am a hockey fanatic so it was great to see a little role reversal here and see a woman at the helm of the team, I think Greer was perfect for the job. It was a lot of fun to see her tame the wild beast and make him see things in a new light, and help him to realize what is really important. There was a bit of push and pull between them, but their connection was instant, it was a nicely paced relationship. There is a lot to love between the pages here, there’s drama and anticipation to keep your eyes glued to the pages, emotion to put a squeeze on the heart, and lots of steamy bits to keep the heat levels high!! Highly recommend this one, this couple is bound to keep you thoroughly entertained!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
This is a standalone with a HEA. It is filled with passion, heartbreak, inspiration, twists, turns, and a lot of emotion and feels.
Sebastian “Bash” Fury is a super sexy hockey player with a boatload of arrogance, talent, and a hot temper. His father is Mike Fury, an NHL great. Greer Waterson is badass! She is the first female coach in the NHL and a former US Olympian for the women’s hockey team. She has had to work and fight hard to get where she is today. Bash finds himself on Greer’s expansion team after being traded by his former team due to his bad temper. Greer is not excited about inheriting a hothead even though he has a lot of talent, but it is not her choice. When they meet, they butt heads but deep down, they also feel burning chemistry. There’s a thin line between love and hate, will either one of them be willing to cross that line and risk their careers for a chance to experience the passion?
There are great characters in this story. I loved the push and pull between Bash and Greer. The chemistry and sexual tension between them are so hot! This story was well-written and I enjoyed every minute of it. I highly recommend reading it!
