Dirty Like Me is the first full-length novel in the Dirty series—a rockstar romance series about the members of the rock band Dirty and the women and men who love them.
Novels in the Dirty series are interconnected standalones, each with an HEA; other books (novella/story collection) are not HEA, but are essential pieces of the overall story arcs. (There are ongoing storylines that develop throughout the series; reading them in order is not crucial but is HIGHLY recommended.)

I loved this book so much that I can see myself reading it again. Loved the characters, storyline, everything. Definitely one of my favourites.
Great fake boyfriend/rockstar romance. Jesse is a famous rockstar in a band and is branching off into a solo project. He meets Katie on a video shoot. She is not there as a model, but their intense chemistry puts her in a position to be in his video and embark in a fake relationship to spark interest in his solo endeavor. I love that I can feel their chemistry and growing bond. Katie is in a strange place professionally and needs the nudge that Jesse is able to give her. There are other great characters that have deep friendships with the main characters. Devi is the perfect friend for Katie as is Brody for Jesse. Katie is so sweet and thoughtful in trying to help Jessa and Jesse, but also trying to do right for herself. With the support of Katie and Jesse’s family they are able to have a real relationship built on the right things. There is serious steam and heartfelt emotions. There is also a great set up for Jessa and Brody’s story. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
Ok, first of all, how cool would it be to be in a music video with the freaking singer? Fake-ish some sexy time while having a super hot guy on you, yeah that would not be too bad if I say so myself! Katie is one of the most down to earth and sweet leading lady that I have read in a while. She has had a few hard knocks go her way and is struggling as a barista when she meets Jesse Mayes. She poses as a love interest in his solo music video that goes FREAKING VIRAL!
Everyone can see the heat between the two, and Jesse sees this as an opportunity to really promote his solo gig away from his band Dirty. He has had a rough go himself the past few years and is really trying to promote the heck out of this.
There are so many outside characters that makes this book and the one to come the amazing story that it is. The rock group Dirty is more than a group, it is a family and comprised of members that have known each other forever.
Then the story starts, it has some humorous moments, gut wrenching moments, and pure heart moments. It is not only a great introductory story but one that gives you the feels when you think about this guitar playing hottie as a real person and real feelings and just a regular girl next door that ends up meaning a LOT more than he had intended her to be.
Scorch Levels: Off the Charts (seriously the first time they legit meet and just do a little dry humping for a sexy music video, I had to fan myself!)
This is great start to this series that concentrates on the band Dirty. A fun and sexy read that kept me wanting to pick it back up, even after I put it down for one reason or another and it grabbed a hold of me within the first few pages. The only caution I have is there is a lot of alcohol use and some minor drug use. The characters are fantastic, gorgeous rock stars with hearts of gold and strong women that can handle them, and I can’t wait to read more.
This is a first rate rock romance that gives you everything you would want; super-hot rocker who does not do girlfriends, a “normal” girl with a chance of a lifetime, a connection between these two that everyone around them sees, and sexual chemistry that is off the charts. Sure, people say this is the “same old story” but this one hit for me and I am an avid rock romance fan. This has become one of my favorites because of the author and the way she played out this rocker romance. You actually felt the sexual frustration between these two along with the heartbreak that they each felt for their own reasons.
Jesse and Katie met by chance and the connection that those around them seen had Katie landing a model job doing a music video with the famous rocker. For Katie it was a big thing because she had been a couple of years of working through the destruction her ex-fiancé did on her by literally leaving her at the altar. She considered herself unlovable and her self-esteem plummeted from the action of a spoiled rich boy. Katie had lived for her art and she had let that falter too after the humiliation she had gone through but now this was her chance of putting herself back out there. Boy, did she ever put herself back out there; nothing like doing a sexy love scene in bed with this undeniably bad boy rocker!
Jesse was putting out a solo album during his break from his band, Dirty and it was extremely important that this album take off and be everything he could hope it would be. Since his love scene with the cute little “normal” girl was hitting it big online with everyone loving the connection they saw between Jesse and Katie. So Jesse came up with a plan to get his music to sell and that involved propositioning Katie to be his pretend girlfriend for six weeks while he was on his tour for this album. The money Katie was offered would finally get her back on her feet and what could it hurt because she couldn’t stop thinking of Jesse. Sure, she realized that he was a womanizer who couldn’t settle on just one woman for very long in between all of his groupies.
So when did this line blur and over time was Katie the only one feeling the things she did? The way they both fought off having sex brought sexual tension to its limits at times but it was just a great basis for the things building between these two. Katie just had to keep reminding herself it was all pretend…to Jesse anyway. Was Katie really cut out for the paparazzi and the way they would eventually portray her and what part would Jesse’s ex-girlfriend and Dirty bandmate, Elle, play in all of this? Let’s not even mention how Katie’s ex-fiancé, Josh, played a part in all of this, too. For me this was an excellent rock romance that had you feeling all of the lustful moments between Jesse and Katie right along with all of the heartbreak that you felt with everything Katie went through. This is a first time reading this author and I would say a definite recommendation for all of you “normal” rock romance fans! I’m so glad to hear that there is going to be more “Dirty” coming because there are a lot of supporting people in this story that need their own stories told.
