Novels in the Dirty series are interconnected standalones, each with an HEA; other books (novella/story collection) are not HEA, but are essential pieces of the overall story arcs. (There are ongoing storylines that develop throughout the series; reading them in order is not crucial but is HIGHLY recommended.)
Reading order:
Dirty Like Me (Dirty #1)
Dirty Like Us (Dirty #0.5) (novella)
Dirty Like Brody (Dirty #2)
A Dirty Wedding Night (Dirty #2.5)(story collection)
Dirty Like Seth (Dirty #3)

This is my favourite book yet in the series. Loved it. Pure escapism at it’s best
I have been waiting for Jude since the beginning. He has been a mystery and with each book there have been glimpses of him that made me want more. And this book is just that.
Jude Grayson and Roni have always had a connection and sparks fly each time they are close. While Jude watched “Wild Card” with other men, he knew he could not let her near his heart because she could destroy him. So he watches from the sidelines until the pull between them is too strong to ignore.
Roni “Wild Card” Webber is the party girl type. She likes to have fun and men are her choice of fun. When she first sees Jude she wants him but he gently pushes her away. But there is a connection that keeps her coming back. Each time they spend time together, Roni is left with a broken heart that she tries to heal with other men. It doesn’t work but she can’t let anyone know how she really feels.
Can Roni wait for Jude to see they really belong together? Will Jude be able to move past all her previous encounters with men he knows and are friends with? Will they be able to make a future together work?
I love this series and “Dirty” is the only way to go. I can not wait for Zane’s story, it is going to be so go. I can feel it.
If you love a rock band story than you need to start this series now, you will not be disappointed.
**I received a free copy of this book to read and review and this is my honest opinion**
I have read all the books in the Dirty universe and tremendously enjoyed all of them.
While Dirty like Jude can be absolutely read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the other books in the series to learn about the band history and all the other players involved.
I loved Jude’s and Roni’s complicated on and off relationship and it was amazing to finally see them find a way to each other in their HEA. This book is wonderfully written and edited, all characters are well developed and the captivating story and heat just might melt your Kindle!
This book had a little more inner dialogue but it filled in some gaps on the history of ‘Dirty’ in a pretty remarkable way. This isn’t a series you can quit and I’m sad to see I’m reaching the end of it. If you haven’t started it already, you’re missing out!
Wowza what a book. We’ve been waiting to see what would happen with Jude and Roni, would they finally get together? Would he finally notice her? Would she finally stop running from her feelings for him? Yeah not gonna answer these questions for you lol, read it yourself to find out. But wow what a book. To say that I loved it, um kinda think thats apparent. But there again, I love all of this series. Zane is up next, case you were wondering, and hopefully one day sooooon, we’ll finally find out what happens with Ash … yes Mrs. Diamond that is a hint lol.
Complex story line. Great characterizations. All characters involved were believable, had great depth and some had sustained growth over the time period of the story. A very angst riddled romance with many seriously sensual scenes. It was great to encounter the depth of “familial” ties albeit with blood brothers, club brothers or as with band brothers; brothers of the heart all. A very rock and roll relationship between the main male and female characters that finally got sorted out at the end; they even look like they are going to get their happy ever after.
A long, enjoyable and entertaining read!
Highly recommended!!
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to the author.
In most of the series Jude was a big mystery bad boy. Sure you get a little pieces of him, not really enough to get to know him. The same can be said about Roni. That is why I was so interested in this story. You really get to find out these two. As a characters and a couple. I wanted to knock some since into Jude for letting the past cloud his judgment on Roni. He still loved her, but couldn’t let it go.
I loved this book. It was the kinda book you don’t put down
Oh goodness, what a great book in the “Dirty Series”! I would categorize this romance between Jude and Roni as a combination of a second chance romance and an enemies-to-lovers.
Way back in Dirty Like Brody, I wasn’t a big fan of Roni, Jessa’s best friend. However, when Roni and Jude had a story in Dirty Wedding Night, my opinion of her changed. Still, I wasn’t sure that I would love her as much as the other heroines in the other books, but I was wrong. She is a strong character who recognizes her faults and is true to who she is. She has a big heart with lots of love, but is vulnerable given that Jude has broken her heart in the past. Jude is Dirty’s bodyguard, Jesse’s best friend, and a member of the West Kings MC gang. I love his protective streak – for both the band and for Roni. At times he was a train wreck over Roni. My heart repeatedly broke for both of them.
The decade journey towards their HEA was an interesting, winding road.
I loved loved loved how the author would flash back to their past from both their POVs. Sometimes when authors flip back and forth between past and present it gets confusing, but Jaine Diamond did a great job with the transitions. Dirty Like Jude is told from a dual POV, which I think was perfect for this book rather than a singular POV. I like how this book touches upon the MC life as well as being a bodyguard to a very popular band. It was like the best of both worlds for me – rockstars and MC. I also loved seeing the other characters – Dirty’s members and their significant others. This book has a HEA and no cliffhanger.
I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review.
I Absolutely Loved Jude
Fantastic yet again!! Jude’s story was much like the rest of the Dirty series because it gave you so much baddassery, angst, steam and a romance that will have you swooning. Jude was not only best friends and grew up with the guys from Dirty he was their head of security and everything that needed “handleling”. Oh, you would think that’s enough but you would be wrong because Jude as also a nomad member of the Kings Mc which his brother was now VP of.
Roni was lifelong best friends with Jessa who happened to be lead guitarist, Jesse’s, twin sister. Every chance Roni had she would sit in and listen to Dirty and watched them over the years climb to rock star status. She had a rough life and was a sex kitten with balls. Lol She thought she knew what she wanted but over time she had been hurt many times always with Jude in the background never being able to give her what she really needed.
This is one kick*ss read that will have you turning pages continually because you can’t wait to see if they actually get their HEA. If you have not checked out this series yet, do so because you won’t be let down. Now I’m patiently waiting for Zane’s story!
Whoa. I just finished my ARC of Dirty Like Jude. I’ve been dying to read Jude and Roni’s story since their past . . . err . . . relationship was revealed. I don’t know whether to categorize their romance as a second-chance or an enemies-to-lovers . . . I think I’m just as confused by their love as they are! And that’s not a bad thing!
Honestly there’s not a damn thing bad here. I loved the flashbacks of their stories. Jude’s glimpses of the band as they hit the big time were so fun. And those run ins with Roni *fans self* back when they were all young and stupid, really set things up for them to come back together—well, sometimes I wondered if they’d actually get their acts together and really communicate what was going on in their heads and their hearts.
I loved Roni’s inner strength—her truth to her self, even when the doubts crept in. She never really doubted her feelings for Jude, but she definitely kept them to herself. And Jude. God, the man lives and breathes to protect—to protect his friends and family, and definitely protects his heart. And he’ll pretty much do anything to protect Roni.
Roni and Jude are such a fantastic couple—once they finally figured it all out for real. Their path to their happily ever after was not smooth or straight, but it was so much fun to see them make their way through. Dirty Like Jude is a fantastic addition to this excellent Dirty series! Can’t wait for Maggie and Zane next!
