A really hot modern romance.
Elise is a reporter for a celebrity newspaper but she is just trying to get enough experience to become an investigative reporter when her boss gives her the assignment to write about Keith, a country music star, who has done a really good job of keeping his private life just that… private… that is until now. Keith has a fairly big secret that he is keeping but it’s with the very best of intentions. What neither one counts on is the instant attraction they both have. And the heat between them makes it nearly impossible for them to ignore it.
So, Keith finally gives in to his feelings and begins to get involved with Elise. From there it just gets hotter!
This was a fun, easy, dirty read. Love the steamy scenes. Has you turning the pages faster to see what’s coming next.
Dirty Laundry by Lauren Landish is the second book in this delicious series and is as the first is a standalone. I totally enjoyed the back and forth banter between Elise and Keith. Elise a reporter for a gossip/rag publication is on a mission to find out anything juicy about country music star Keith Perkins. After following him for days she finally spots him buying feminine hygiene products and takes photos. She writes a story speculating that he has a woman in his life. He is angry ,frustrated at the intrusion and his lawyers get involved but instead of going away they grant the reported a series of interviews to clear up and stear away from his purchase. Their initial meeting isn’t ideal but as they continue it obvious they are sexually attracted to each other. There are twist, turns, betrayals and secrets that can can change lives. Will they come together before it’s too late or will feelings get in the way?
Five delicious
WOW…. just WOW.
Gotta love rock star romances… or country music star romance in this case.
Either way, Keith Perkins sure rocked my work. *ba dum tsss*

He’s just so… yummy!
Sexy, hot, growly and in control at all times.
I.can’t.even.
To quote Elise:
“It’s just one of those accepted facts. Grass is green, water is wet, and Keith Perkins is sexy as fuck.”
Btw, read “Dirty Dream”.
You don’t have to but you will be thanking me later.
You’re welcome.
Ohhh, I can’t wait to know who the characters from “Dirty Deeds” are.
#NotSoPatientlyWaiting.
Hot, hot, hot!! Loved all the characters in the steamy novel!!! I want a dirty talking Keith in my life!!
Elise and Keith are fiercely hot and spicy and topping every single conceivable chart there could be. Elise kind of hates her job working in the tabloid business. She had dreams of being the next Woodward or Bernstein… but truthfully she the closest she comes to hard hitting journalism is hot or not pieces- now is that just sad. When she gets her sort of shot following the ultra secretive Keith Perkins, she hopes this will be her big break. But this country hunk with tall, dark, and mysterious ways may be way more than she bargained for. Keith would love for the world to take his music and leave his personal life alone. He doesn’t have any deep dark secrets aside from one… one that he would do anything to protect. Now with this nosy albeit gorgeous reporter sniffing around he is determined to throw her of the trail at any cost. Can Keith trust Elsie to protect his secret over her need to get the story?

Dirty Laundry by Lauren Landish a five-star read that I couldn’t write a review good enough to describe how good this read is. This was a great read, I’m a huge fan of the author but this was the best example of her writing I’ve read so far. Keith Tiberius Perkins was a whole hunk of man I would climb like a tree, he was written in a such a manner that you couldn’t want a better man, to the outside world and to most he was just a boring man, with an interesting job, he wrote songs and performed them on a stage but other than that he didn’t do much. At least he didn’t on the surface, and it’s under that surface that Journalist Elise Warner wants to get, she wants to find out what makes him tick as well as get to know the ma under the hat find out what he does in his own time, what secret is he hiding. Elise hasn’t had the best of luck and she could really do with some, will she get her chance to follow her dream or will her jellybean shaped boss keep holding her back?
There is so much to this story, it will keep you hooked from the first to the last page, there is chemistry immediately between Keith and Elise and the secondary characters all played their own part in the story and the secrets revealed are sublime!! This is the second book in the Get Dirty series but each book tells the story of a different couple, so you don’t need to read them in order.
I just love this series. I love Keith and Elise. The characters just seem to come alive as I read and the plot line just flows to where I am turning page after page and before I know it I am at the end of the book and its 2 am!!! I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves HEA and hot steamy scenes.
Lauren Landish manages to pack an abundance of emotions into a small package. Dirty Laundry starts with deception, but the secrets are just the beginning. Looking through the eyes of love we explore betrayal, pain and the start of something special. Elise and Keith remove the rose colored glasses. Loving someone is not always pretty. The heartache is fierce, the sacrifice brutal, but the rewards are endless and worth the risk. If you’re looking to fall in lust with love, Dirty Laundry is the read for you.
4.5 stars.
Reporter Elise has been following country singer Keith around hoping to uncover some gossip on the extremely private star. When she’s posts an article that threatens the most important thing in Keith’s life, he has to do damage control and begrudgingly agrees to giving Elise some up close and personal interviews.
I really liked Elise. She’s got morals and the more she gets to know Keith the more she knows she has to help keep his secret safe. Keith is another great character. He will do whatever it takes to keep his loved ones out the limelight and I loved that about him. The sparks between these two are hot, there’s an instant connection between Keith and Elise but with Elise’s boss wanting more personal gossip, things are bound to get even more difficult for the two of them.
I really enjoyed this book. I’ve read a few of Lauren Landishs books and this is by far my favourite.
Big Country Star and the Tabloid Reporter
Keith Perkins hates paparazzi. At 30, he’s finally hit it big as one of Country Music’s biggest star and songwriters. But while Keith’s big secret is known only to his tight-knit circle of friends, he’s tenacious about guarding the one precious and innocent thing he has from the public world.
Keith tells it like it is, and he’s known to say that all he wants to do is:
“Sing songs, play music, go the f*@k home, that’s all”
Although he’s in disguise, one evening Keith makes the mistake of running errands clueless to the fact he’s being tailed.
Elise Warner’s mission is to spy on Keith Perkins. It’s not the investigative reporting job Elise envisioned for herself, but work at the tabloid magazine, The Daily Spot, is enough to pay the bills. But the slimeball of an editor wants Elise to dig up any smut about Keith. When Elise spies Keith buying maxi pads at the grocery, it’s enough dirt to speculate he has a love interest. She writes an article assuming he might have a girlfriend, and all hell breaks loose. What follows is a reluctant Keith allowing some interviews to defray from the gossip.
Elise and Keith can’t deny the attraction between them. Keith’s heart sparks alive each time he spends it with Elise, and he just might be willing to trust her in revealing the truth behind his superstardom. An unexpected turn of events has Elise staring at Keith’s past. It wasn’t the way Keith wanted to reveal it, but can Elise be trusted enough to not throw him under the bus once she is privy to his secret? But things go awry when Keith is targeted in a blackmail scheme. I love what happens next and just cheered for these two.
I love the push and pull between Keith and Elise. The chemistry is electric. It was a slow simmer, at first, and got really sizzling hot! Just fair warning there are a lot of sexy, steamy scenes in this romance. Ms. Landish pulls out all the stops in this entertaining and well-written story. Dirty Laundry is an enjoyable read, has some funny parts, and can be a bit emotional. All in all, a recommended read for fans of steamy romance. I received and voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
