One look and I know… this chick hates me.
I should walk away, find some puck bunny to gleefully sit on my lap and tell me what a big, hot, hockey stud I am–totally true, BTW. But there’s just something about this feisty redhead I can’t let go. She’s got an edge to her that’s sexy as hell and a smart mouth that’s been tying me up since the night I met her.
She tells me to forget it, we’re not … we’re not happening. But this isn’t the kind of woman a guy ever forgets. Especially when the air starts to sizzle and pop every time we get within ten feet of each other. She’s in my head and under my skin, and all I can think about is the way she looked at me that one time. Like she already knew how it could be between us.
I’m not the kind of guy a girl like her takes home… But maybe I want to be.

I can’t wait until Mira’s next book!!! That’s my first thought after finishing Quinn’s and George’s story! It’s been a while since I’ve read a sports romance and it was so refreshing!
I loved all the characters she introduces, all unique from each other making me want to know them even more!
Quinn is sweet and oh so sexy and such a perfect match for Georgia aka George. Sometimes first chance meetings don’t work out so well and that’s when fate has to do it’s work.
I loved every moment of this story, a total good feel romance with a tiny bit angst. Mira surprises me a few times, making me hum “thank You”…. I’m so happy she went with her gut!! I totally recommend this story!!! Mira will make you fall in love…”sigh”
Quinn, a Chicago Slayers hockey player, is often seen as the ladies man, a player. He’ll even admit he used to be a player, but now he wants something more. When he sees the feisty red head in the ER, he feels like he knows her and the chemistry is off the charts. He just can’t remember her. What’s more, she seems to absolutely hate him. Challenge Accepted! It’s Quinn’s goal to find out the story behind the feisty red head and prove to her he’s more than a dirty hookup.
George, Georgie to Quinn, can’t believe her eyes! The one man who broke her heart seven years ago is in the ER. Even worse, he can’t seem to remember who she is. It’s taken George YEARS to get over Quinn, only to realize maybe she’s not truly over him after all this time. She hates that she reacts to him and that he appears to be the man who disappeared seven years ago. But she’s hurt and can’t seem to forget the broken promises.
Mira Lyn Kelly writes an amazing second chance love story, with a twist. It’s love at first sight, until it isn’t. It’s forever, until it isn’t. Promises are broken without Quinn knowing it. I loved that both families were slightly dysfunctional. George’s brothers are overprotective thugs, while Quinn’s brother is a liar with a gambling problem. I loved that Quinn went all out to prove to Georgie he was the man for her. Georgie’s lack of hockey knowledge was also refreshing-not a puck bunny! Forgiveness is key in this relationship. I highly recommend this novel! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
Another great book from Mira Lyn Kelly. I’ve been a fan of her writing for years, and she never disappoints. This new book features another member of the Slayers hockey team, Quinn, who feels an instant connection to George. He doesn’t remember their first meeting, but she does, and she isn’t interested in getting reacquainted. Quinn, however, is determined, and what follows is loads of page-turning goodness. I absolutely loved Quinn and George together, and liked getting a glimpse of some of the other players, too. Mira Lyn Kelly has created a world I’d love to visit, and I can’t wait for more from the Slayers. I highly recommend this book!
It’s a fun, sexy and all heart. Never a dull moment that will keep you hook. It has characters you will love. The connection and the sparks. It’s entertaining and not to be missed.
The angst. The heat. Wow! It was a great twist on a second chance romance. This is a new to me author that I will be one clicking from now on.
I won an ARC from the author. This is my unbiased review.
A terrific second chance, sports romance you don’t want to miss. The second book in this series follows George and Quinn as they reconnect after what she thought was a memorable encounter. Yet things aren’t always what they seem and you wonder if they can move on from this. I admit that I didn’t enjoy this as much as the first book, but it is still a good read that will entertain you for an afternoon. There was something missing for me. This series is one to be read and I can’t wait for the next book.
I absolutely loved this book. Dirty Hookup is a second chance romance with a twist. It drew me in from the first word and I devoured it until the last word.
Quinn is immediately captivated by George from the moment he meets her, but she hates him. He can’t understand why. Little does he know that they had met seven years ago. Quinn had promised George forever and seemed to forget all about her the next day. Quinn and George have chemistry in spades and the more George fought it, the stronger it became.
I loved the push and pull relationship between these two. George’s anger was understandable, but she had a heart of gold once she let down her walls. Quinn is all in from the moment he lays eyes on George and I loved how determined he was to win her over.
Uncovering their past and the circumstances that led to their separation was heartbreaking. I felt so bad for Quinn. I understood George’s reluctance to share their past with Quinn, but I did find it frustrating. When all the secrets come out, it was refreshing how they worked through their issues and the epilogue…sigh…perfection!
This was my first book by Mira Lyn Kelly and I now need to go back and catch up. This was a funny, sexy, romantic, angsty book that is definitely worth your time.
First off let me start by saying that this guy was so better looking that the last one and the one before that in my opinions. Ohh man Quinn, we had met him before in Vaughns book and I am glad that we got to find out more about him, I hate the man ho stuff but it is understandable why these guys are like that I mean you have money supposedly you are hot so of course you have woman throwing themselves at you, do I condone it no but I get it. So anyhow back to story we knew that George didn’t like him and he just couldn’t remember her and as we read the story we find out why, man his brother was a disgusting person. Anyway so we understood why George hated him but even though she did she couldn’t help the attraction she has to him and while she gives him a chance thinking that this will be only sex we knew that that would change and when everything does come out, you were like wow I could understand what both of them were going thru and Quinn broke my heart and I ended up really liking him..Now Mira please give me a story on Cammie and Rux.
rcvd an ARc at no cost to author…voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions
I loved it. What a great couple. What a great series! I’m so glad everything got resolved without a huge, silly misunderstanding and that trust won out. I can’t wait for the next book!
I won’t lie, when I started this book I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. I had read Dirty Secret earlier this month and I loved that book so much. But as I got into Dirty Hookup, I was hooked! I love the way that Mira writes and the way she projects the romance in each book.
Georgia “George” Bowen runs one of her family business in Chicago and plans to continue to keep her distance from Quinn. Even more so when he doesn’t remember who she is. She can’t stand the sight of him, let alone breathing the same air as him.
Quinn O’Brian plays as a Slayers hockey player and is determined to get George to like him. Even if it is just a little bit. He has put his past with the bunnies behind him and ready to settle down.
Quinn is pulled to George and he is determined to keep her as close to him as possible. George wants nothing to do with him but starts to wonder if she can put the past behind her. Can these two find common ground?
George was burned by Quinn six years ago. She fell for his line and completely forgot about her.
Quinn sees George in the hospital and is smitten by her, he believes he’d never forget her eyes.
But he did.
He is a player on and off the ice with way too many puck bunnies (yuck, gross, who wants a guy who’s been in every chic?).
Can he clean up his act and man up and be a better man for George?
Recommend.
Dirty Hookup is a enemies to lovers, funny, hockey romance story. I liked the banter between Quinn and Georgie, they made me laugh, and holy smokes the chemistry these two have I thought my kindle would start on fire. I liked seeing past characters too. This was such an entertaining story, and the characters were great.
4 stars
Mira Lynn gets us all hot and bothered in her newest installment in the Slayers Hockey series!
Dirty Hookup is a mash up of sports romance (hockey is my fave), enemies to lovers and second chances, making it full to the gills with drama. Quinn, hockey god and Georgie have a fantastic push pull dynamic and I just knew that when George finally let go, it was going to be fireworks and I was not wrong! The drama was a little long in the tooth for me but the twist in the end was great.
Another great addition to this series! I cannot wait for Rux’s story next!

What a great book! I love a good enemies to lovers because nothing creates chemistry like some good bickering. Georgie and Quinn had that kind of chemistry. Hot. Georgie doesn’t like Quinn or his reputation and she has a good reason. Quinn thinks he’s finally met “the one” and he’s determined to win her over. The more Georgie gets to know Quinn the more confused she is because he isn’t quite who she thought he was. Quinn turns on the charm and pulls out all the stops. He’s serious and he’s a hockey player so he’s not giving up. But Georgie has one last weapon that’s going to stop Quinn in his tracks. Great plot, great characters and I truly enjoyed the ride. I totally recommend this as a light, fun, and romantic read with a perfect HEA.
They hooked up years ago and he does remember. She decides to give him another chance but the past comes back and tries to put a stop to this relationship. Can he remember enough to make sure he doesn’t lose what be really wants.
Quinn is a hockey player and the bane of George’s existence. They had a hookup about 7 years ago but Quinn doesn’t seem to remember it. George doesn’t want to be hurt again. This is a sexy, good second chance read that you don’t want to miss. You also get to find out how the other guys are doing.
I am really loving the Slayers Hockey boys.
Dirty Hookup is the second book in the series and follows hockey player Quinn O’Brian, a player with a playboy reputation and George Bowen, a fiery redhead who owns and runs a bike shop with her brothers. George tries to fight her attraction to Quinn due to a grudge about something that had happened years before. Something that Quinn doesn’t seem to remember. George finally gives in but will the truth about what happens that night break them apart?
I loved this book. The story, the characters, the steamy romance. Mira really know how to write a story.
This is was a good book. Based on Georgie’s opinion of Quinn you would think he is bad news, but Quinn is going to surprise her. Georgie can’t reconcile the Quinn she knew and the man he is now. I really liked Quinn. He surprised me too in the best way possible. The man is a dirty talker just adds to his appeal. He has his work cut out for him when it comes to Georgie. He slowly chips away, but boy he is going to get a bombshell. It’s an easy book to get lost it. The characters grabbed my attention right away. I loved the epilogue.
If you like a great second chance story you will love Quinn and George!!!They have a lot of mistakes and misunderstandings to over come. This book is funny and entertaining!! Can’t wait to read more from Mira Lyn Kelly!!!
Dirty Hookup is book two in the Slayers Hockey series and each book can be read as a standalone if you wish to pick up anywhere in the series. You will see other characters, but you won’t have a problem following. This book is on Quinn and George and it is so nice to see when alpha hockey men who are cocky get Slayed outside of their game play. HaHa. It is dirty, funny and full of challenges. Quinn has his hands full especially when it comes to showing that he won’t back down on trying to score both on the ring and off. George is love-able and boy does she have her hands full with not only her brothers, but Quinn. I love how this series is written and events that occur and if you enjoy sports romance this series is highly recommended. All I have to say is bring on the Cam Sandwhich please!
