No dirty deed goes unnoticed in a seductive game of cat and mouse. But for Alec and Gaige, the wrong move could get them killed. Alec Drummond didn’t make his billions by playing nice—or by playing much at all. When it comes to pleasure, Alec only has time for whatever’s quick and easy, which is exactly what he gets from his company’s hot new computer genius. But Gaige Owens isn’t some pushover. … isn’t some pushover. He pushes back, and it’s giving Alec a rush. The question is, could Gaige be the one who’s leaking trade secrets? Just to be safe, Alec keeps him close at hand . . . night and day.
Gaige never thought he’d roll over for a man like Alec again, but who could resist sex this mind-blowing? Then there’s the draw of Alec’s mysterious side: his cutthroat ambition, his covert CIA connections, and the murder in his past. For Gaige, a deeper look proves an irresistible temptation. But when Gaige and Alec are stripped of their defenses by an unseen danger, everything they don’t know could bring them closer together—or tear them apart. Only one thing is certain: Before it’s all over, someone’s going down.

HelenKay Dimon has a writing style that quickly pulls a reader in and that, combined with the opening scene in Dirty Deeds, caught my attention and had my gears turning long before the romance began. Both Gaige and Alec have their secrets and determined to keep them, so naturally, they divulge things, little by little, in their intimate moments. The pair is good together and they have great chemistry, even when they’re tiptoeing around each other.
Between spies, possible espionage, attacks, break-ins, and the steam generated by our main characters, there’s plenty going on, but the story did still lag a bit at times. Fortunately, the suspense, intrigue, and twists kept me plunging ahead for the next bit of action.
Overall, Dirty Deeds is well-written, interesting, and entertaining. It is steamy and those scenes are pretty hot, but it’s about so much more than that. There’s a lot of story here and well worth the read.
Did not finish. Didnt even finish the first chapter. Seemed waaaaay to fakey to me. I rolled my eyes the entire time..I know it’s kinda hypocritical seeing as I like scifi and fantasy…. but I just cant stand these ridiculous books. Multi billionaire who is hot as sin and a genius and an awesome person…..blah blah blah blah. Computer geek who is in trouble with the law and needs the big strong billionaire to save him. They hate eachother then love eachother all the time saving the company…. just…. ugh. Sorry. Did not get into it at all.
Loved the book…………..terrific in every way!
Dirty Deeds is the start of what appears to be a spin off of the Tough Love series. Seth Lang, from the Tough Love series (Guarding Mr. Fine) has kinda sorta blackmailed computer hacker and techie extraordinaire, Gaige, into helping him with an off the books mission to get into Alec Drummond’s company, all to get his attention since Alec hasn’t been answering Seth’s calls for awhile now, and Seth needs to tell him something, well more like, use him and his company for his mission.
The mission turns out to be a bit confusing, something about a Doomsday Vault in Svalbard, Norway. It’s here where tons of seeds are stored in case of “doomsday”. Someone has apparently been using Alec’s company to mess with the vault, and Seth wants to know more about it. What Seth doesn’t count on is Gaige developing feelings for Alec and turning his loyalty to him, rather than to Seth. But considering that Seth constantly uses Gaige for his own purposes, it’s pretty understandable that Gaige is looking for a way out. And that way out turns out to be Alec.
From the very first meeting, Gaige and Alec are intensely attracted to each other. But, Gaige is only around Alec to do a job, working for Seth, and Alec doesn’t let anyone but a select few into his life, into his bed sure, but not his life and his heart. But, Gaige is different, as Alec soon comes to realize. In a few short days it becomes apparent to Alec that not only is Gaige a sexy beast in bed, but something about him allows Alec to open up to him and become vulnerable without Gaige taking advantage of him. It’s a bit of insta-love (or lust actually) and I would have preferred if their relationship were to have developed over more time, but their chemistry is entertaining and hot so the insta-love is kind of understandable.
I like Dirty Deeds. It’s sexy and it’s got some suspense and intrigue. About the only thing I didn’t like was Seth Lang’s character. He’s a serious douche here. I preferred him in the Tough Love series, where he was much sweeter and likable. I really liked Gaige and Alec, though, especially Gaige. They make an interesting, sexy couple with hot chemistry and a deepening bond that I suspect will only become stronger as the series goes on. I’m really looking forward to Alec’s brother, Finn’s, story next (Dirty Games).
I loved this book! This is my first by HelenKay Dimon but I am super curious about the rest. Gaige was my fave and I wanted to punch Seth in his mouth but look forward to reading his story too
Not only was this a HOT read it had me so engrossed in the suspenseful story line that I didn’t want to put it down…unfortunately sleep finally did take over but I picked it up as soon as I woke and dove back in.
I was intrigued with Alec when we met him in Guarding Mr. Fine and I was thrilled when I saw that he was going to get his own HEA. The chemistry between Alec and Gaige was great, it was simmering in the background until it came to a full boil and couldn’t be ignored any longer.
The Dirty Series is a loose spin-off of The Tough Love Series you do not have to read the Tough Love Series in order to read this one which looks like it will revolve around the Drummond brothers since Finn’s story is up next in Dirty Games.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book**
Action, intrigue and lots of heat between the main characters. Loved it and was really upset to find that the next book isn’t out until next year.
The cover is the best part of the book.
I do not mind reading about two men if it is well written. for example.
Quote: Gaige was so cold he had to “de-thaw”. What? Freeze more?
I am not sure what either H looked like either. One was tall and one had washboard abs. I did not feel any chemistry between them either. Some sex scenes were hot, others confusing.
They mystery was not very deep. The book was more evasive than mysterious to me.
