This book was a great read. I enjoyed the storyline. Although both were broken, she still found beauty in life and was able to bring that to him and their relationship. The chemistry is super hot and the sex scenes ars sizzling!!!
Kat has been taking care of her sister since their parents died. She gave up college and her thoughts pf the future she had planned. When she runs into Blake after a horrible interview. Blake is drawn to her because she has no clue who he is and its a new experience for him. Blake’s mother is really sick and he wants her to think he has found the woman for him before she dies. So he offers Kat a chance to make a good bit of money to pretend to be his fiancé and then wife for a year. Kat needs the money for bills and her sister’s educations so she agree. However its not long before things get very real between them. Will Blake claim Kat for his own permanently?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

This book was gripping, well written & the chemistry between the characters sizzled throughout this wonderful read.
Well done Crystal. I look forward to more!
Kat is working as a waitress and isn’t a very good one. But she needs the money to put her sister through college and to save their home. When leaving a disastrous interview, she bumps into Blake. Since Kat doesn’t know who Blake is, he finds that refreshing and offers her a deal to play his fake fiance/wife. One million dollars after a year to help her sister through college, save their house and live comfortably for a change. But Blake is cold hearted and doesn’t show much emotion except for his desire for Kat. Can Kat continue with the charade, even though she is slowly developing feelings for Blake? Can she thaw Blake’s frozen heart or will she end up with a broken heart herself? I really enjoyed this story and am glad I already owned it.

An interesting Cinderella story. Explosive chemistry between the two main characters.
I think the secondary characters, especially Blakes mother make the story.

Overall this was a good read. Kat is raising her younger sister. She is about to graduate high school and is looking to go to college. Problem is she needs money. Blake offers her money to be his pretend wife. Of course she falls in love with him. The problem us that Blake isn’t the loving guy she would like. By the end things did change though. I liked Kat’s sister so I’m looking forward to reading her story next.
Super steamy and hot story…of chance encounters, seemingly forbidden love and
perhaps a couple who refuses to love. Despite it all, through tart conversations, the
story is also super sweet and romantic. Much enjoyed like the previous in this series.
Knock your socks off awesome, completely enthralled
Dirty Deal by Crystal Kassel is an exceptionally well written single POV romance from Kat’s perspective. Highly engaging, emotionally gripping, anticipation fueled and nearly constant sexual tension building. This one grabbed me and held on tight for the entire ride. I was absolutely loathe to put it down as I was completely invested in these characters. Through Kat’s eyes, the reader gets to know Blake in his many personas so to speak, but it’s his demanding and dominant sensuality that is so captivating.
The plot is really interesting as it’s emotionally driven and I just cannot say enough about this author’s work. From sweet and tender to raw and gritty, witty dialogue and wonderful characters. I simply love her style and gobble up everything that she writes! Dirty Boss is definitely on my TBR list!!
I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
When I signed up for an ARC of Dirty Deal by Crystal Kaswell, I was intrigued with the idea of a woman making a choice to marry a stranger to help her overcome her existing financial situation. I know it’s a common romance trope, but I wanted to see how Kaswell dealt with Blake the emotionally unavailable billionaire and Kat the struggling waitress. I have to tell you that the story is fairly typical. Kaswell isn’t necessarily doing anything new with this trope. However, she made an interesting choice is writing it strictly from Kat’s perspective. This was also one of the aspects of the book that frustrated me. I needed Blake’s point of view because he is so robotic throughout the entire book. Overall, I liked him. It took me most of the book to do so, even though he is gentlemanly with Kat. However, without his point of view, he feels very one-note, one dimensional. Kaswell offers a bonus scene with his POV, but it doesn’t really give you much of Blake’s motivation and thinking. I’d like to have more of that.
As an h of a romance story, Kat is strong and emotionally grounded. Quite frankly, I would have liked her to tell Blake to “hit the road” a few times, and she waffles quite a bit with her decision. Unfortunately, Blake and Kat’s way of handling their feelings or indecision is $ex. And this book has quite a bit of it. It has a bit of a D/s feel to it. Nothing too crazy, but Blake has an issue with control, and he shows that in the bedroom. I was thankful towards the end of the story when Kat finally made the choice to choose herself. Yet, the story resolves that situation a bit too quickly, in my honest opinion.
Lastly, I struggled with Kaswell’s style. She has a tendency to write simple sentences throughout her book. This causes the flow of the story to slow, making it seem as though the book will never end. Add in the constant bedroom scenes that weren’t incredibly varied, and you get a book that reads a bit heavy and slow.
Overall, I would recommend this book if you like the emotionally distant billionaire who attaches himself to the poor young woman romantic trope. I did buy the next book in the series, Dirty Boss, in the hopes that Kat’s sister’s story engages me more.
I love a fake relationship story in all it’s many permutations. I love the Murphy’s Law nature of these kinds of stories. You just know that in spite of all the best laid plans, it’s never going to go as smoothly or as simply as they expect. This story was sweet and spicy with some adorably fun moments. I can’t say I ever fully connected with either Kat or Blake. And while I completely understand the point the extended second epilogue was trying to make, it was more than I needed.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Hidden Gems Books.
Crystal Kaswell is one of the few authors that you know will deliver. Dirty Deal is the story of Kat and Blake. Their chemistry was off the charts hot. After losing her parents, Kat is working to support herself and her sister. Bills are piling up and she is hoping to help her sister attend college. She meets Blake when she literally runs into him on the street. She is shocked when he shows at the restaurant where she is a waitress. She is even more shocked when he has a rather odd proposition for her. He will pay her one million dollars if she agrees to marry him. Blake does not believe in love and he lets her know that. Will Kat be able to protect her heart as she becomes more emotionally invested? And will Blake confess his love before its too late?

As a Hidden Gem ARC reader I received this book for free. And promised an honest review. Here it is.
English isn’t my first language. Sorry for errors.
Rating: 4 stars (of 5).
In general: Rational deal becomes hot love relation.
Main character:
– Kat Wilder (21).
She loses her parents in a car accident when she’s 18 years old. Her parents left her with debts. So she has to leave school and now waits tables to support her younger sister, Lizzy, but the debts grow.
– Blake Sterling (28).
A very good looking tech billionaire. He had a bad youth for his father was a cruel man. Blake thinks that it makes him unable to love any woman. The father died when Blake was 14 years old. He has a sister, Fiona and a lovely mother, suffering from liver cancer in the last stage.
Blake and Kat meet accidentally. He offers Kat a deal: a (fake) marriage for maximum 1 year before his mother dies; as a return service Kat earns a million dollars.
She agrees but after a few days Kat already feels that it will be difficult for her to not fall in love with Blake for he’s a caring man and their sex is great.
As the reader can expect, in the end Kat and Blake fall in love. So the plot is a bit cliche. What – for me – made the book very interesting was the style of writing, especially in the first part of the story: Short sentences, sometimes like a staccato. The result was a very smooth running story, a page turner. With very credible, often wonderful characters, hot sex scenes (with a little bit too many of the same actions and descriptions, like “on the edge of coming”) and emotional events happening. A pleasure to read.

The main female character is totally broke, she is doing everything she can think of to ensure her family is safe and happy. The main male character is rich and used to being rich! They make a deal that benefits them both but, business deals rarely consider emotions or the heart. This turns out to be a sweet romance story. It’s a tad drawn out at times, otherwise an enjoyable read.

3,5* full of angst and emotional
I have to admit I had a very hard time to get fully on board with this story. Probably because it was too much angst for me to connect with the main characters. I was just being hurt by how the hero treated the heroine. Lack of communication and inability to talk about feelings was just so palpable that I really was hurting along with her. That’s why I didn’t want to fully immerse myself in this book. But when I reach the end I realized it was very beautiful and emotional story showing how the lack of communication can hurt even more than words. And the fact that hero was saying one thing and doing other was totally confusing. But I loved how it all ended and I know this kind of troubles are real in everyday life that’s why at the end of the book I could fully appreciate what author presented. If you love full of angst reads, said only from point of view of one of the characters this is a read for you.
Loved this book, reminded me of Harlequin Romance books, only a lot more sexier and steamier! Blake and Kats story is awesome, how they navigate through this dirty deal, how Kat ever so subtly teaches Blake how to feel and feel loved.
and I just love the HEA, no cliffhanger, and yes, you really must read this book!

Blake had a proposition for Kat that could change her life and the one of her sister. She chooses to go along with the deal but struggles to keep things professional. Blake doesn’t believe in love and therefore tells her he can’t love her. The lines got blurred along the way and now she is madly in love with a man who can’t return her feelings. We go on a ride as these two work out their feelings and eventually have a very happily ever after.

I’m not always much for alpha billionaires other than they make the stories steamy, but this one for me was a little different. Kat needed Blake just as much as he needed her. They came from opposite ends of the spectrum, but had much of the same baggage. I liked that Kat was willing to give, but won’t take less than her fair share. I liked how Blake tried to do what it takes to make Kat happy. I liked the siblings that tried to keep them honest.
Such a perfectly wonderful book. What else can I expect from Crystal Kaswell though. That’s all she knows to write. Even with the dirty and naughty parts, this book was so sweet. Kat and Blake were perfect for each other, though my favorite character was Meryl. You’ll see why soon enough. I highly recommend this book.
Happy reading!

Wow!
Blake needs a wife and he wants it to be Kat, the waitress he literally bumped into on the street. Kat needs money and is will to do just about anything to get it. There is one caveat, No falling in love with Blake because Blake has told her while he may want her, he will never love her. No problem, right?
