She needs this opportunity. He needs her groaning his name. Lizzy Wilder is staying in New York City, whatever it takes. Her only hope is a programming internship at hot tech startup Odyssey. It’s a perfect gig… until she walks into her boss’s office and sees the man who shared her bed three months ago.Nick Marlowe is aloof, demanding, and s*xy as sin. He’s also devoted to following a strict set … devoted to following a strict set of rules. His rules. Work and life stay separate. Always. Yes, he craves the feisty brunette. He shudders every time she calls him sir. He daydreams about tying her to his bed.
She’s his subordinate. He won’t cross that line. No matter what.
Dirty Boss is a standalone office romance with a dominate alpha hero and a whole lot of heat. It was previously published with the title The Billionaire’s Control.

It was a case of she slept with him before she worked for him. The sex scenes were good if you like dominant men. The chemistry between the two characters just wasn’t there for me it seemed forced. Not a bad read.
Lizzy and Nick are great together sizzling heat, passion and the ability to be themselves with each other. Nick with his work responsibilities and control issues and Lizzy with her live in the moment outlook and outspokenness make for a fun and unpredictable arrangement. They each have events in their past that are difficult to overcome but, they eventually support and help each other heal as their arrangement becomes a relationship.
This is a beautiful story about life, love, sacrifice and forgiveness. Their are moments that are seduction and sexy and their are moments that are sweet and romantic. What is fun is that as these two characters try so hard not to become invested in the other that they fall in love. This is a really good story that hits all the right notes and has you cheering for Lizzy and Nick and their happy ending.
Crystal Kaswell has moved into the realms of the D/s dynamic with this series and it works well. It’s not sinister or seedy, there are no chains or whips, no handcuffs or ropes, just dominance, protection, submission and love. Ok, maybe there is a bit of play!!!!
The basics are that boy meets girl while away from home. Boy goes home, girl stays will sister while looking for a job, boy interviews girl. Awkward but girl gets the job, a place to live, a really good monthly salary and it all spirals from their because they can’t keep their hands off each other!! There is obviously soooooo much more to it than that but that’s the crux of it!
As always CK has written a book full of emotions from anger to joy, anxiety to catatonic breakdown, love to hate, deepest lows to orgasmic highs, everything is in. The chemistry between the two main characters is sizzling hot, if they were real people in your office I’m sure you’d feel the heat between them on a daily basis and they’d never be able to keep it quiet!!
This is definitely aimed at adult readers with adult content! Scenes between the sheets, against the walls, in the kitchen, in the bathroom or wherever are hot and sexy between consenting! If you don’t like that don’t read this book!!!
I loved this book and totally recommend it and the others in this series to you xx
I received an advanced copy of this book via Booksprout and provide my honest review voluntarily
Each reader has a book trope or niche that they enjoy reading. The story is about a woman who has a wild one-night stand in Las Vegas on a trip. When she returns to New York to apply to her college computer coding internship, the boss turns out to be her one-night stand. This is a complication, neither Nick, the boss nor Lizzy the programmer intern did not expect. How each navigates through the boss-employee disaster makes for an excellent read. This story ratchets up the heat in areas that just aren’t my niche. But the good news being, that other readers enjoy reading the darker romances. HEA is guaranteed. I love reading Krystal’s Rockstar and Inked series.
Holy smokes! This story is full of fire! Nick loves to be in control, in all areas of his life. I enjoyed the pull between he and Lizzy. They feed off of each other, they have stories that pulled at my heart and can be very intense. If you are looking for that bit of control, that alpha hotness, then this is perfect for you.
Nick and Lizzy – Lizzy shows up for an interview for an internship for a tech company only to find out that the billionaire IA tech genius is the same man that she had a one night stand with 3000 miles away three months ago. What are the chances? She really needs this internship. Can she keep things professional and forget their amazing night together? What will happen when she keeps baiting him? Will he lose control or will he take full control and make her totally submit?
This book is over the top steamy hot! Crystal Kaswell has a talent for bringing you into the story with her descriptions and knows how to touch all your emotions. This book is from Lizzy’s POV, but you have no doubt what is on Nick’s mind. I totally loved this book and the whole series is amazing. They are all stand-alone books but the characters are interrelated. Highly recommend!
Lizzy Is a girl that knows what she wants and was not afraid to ask for. The days of thinking only men should be bold about sex will be non existent soon. Lizzy and Nick rocks. They both has their insecurities but they were bold for each and it helped to heal them. I love my books nice and steaming amd this one is sizzling with a good story line.
The company rules dictate that Nick and Lizzy can’t be together, but sometimes the rules have to be broken especially when you are the boss and you want to break the rules. From the beginning of their story as strangers, you know the fireworks are going to happen, you just don’t know when and how big they will be.
This story is sexy and hot. Lizzy meets Nick Marlow, a one night stand in California. She had an opportunity for a internship for a computer company. When she goes in for her interview, it ends up being Nick. This is one sexy, hot, story, with conflicts, sacrifice and drama.
Virginia Rose narration is very good. I enjoyed listening to this story. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review.
I was pulled into the story of these two. The past has not been good to these two they each have issues they are trying to overcome. I liked the idea of the story. It’s very with the times and It flowed nicely. I love office romances and this one is no different. The characters are each strong despite their pasts. They each deal with the present differently. Lizzie is fun loving and outgoing. She sees what she wants and goes after it. I just want to say her speech for her sister is lovely. As is their relationship. Nick is a complex guy. While he has control in every aspect of his life..he can not keep control of his thoughts for Lizzie. At first i didn’t care much for Nick but as the story moves along and some things were explained he grew on me. I loved seeing his lightbulb come on in respect to his feelings.
This is a first time author for me. I actually loved the story. Even the characters were wonderful. Although Kat and Lizzie are my two fav. We wouldn’t have the story without Nick. I did listen to this on audio. Virginia Rose did a wonderful job with the narration.
Dirty Boss is a great steamy listen. Nick and Lizzy had a chance encounter months ago that was fully of passion, but little did they know that their paths would cross again when Lizzy applies for a job and winds up working for Nick. Nick is determined to keep it professional, but quickly gives in because Lizzy is magnetic, and their connection is just too strong. And for Nick, Lizzy is the balm that he needs.
Nick and Lizzy have both had past traumas in their lives, and opening up and getting past them is difficult. But in each other they find the bravery and openness that they need to heal. I like that they connect on an emotional level as well as the physical level. Virginia Rose does a great job narrating, and voicing their vulnerability and hurt along the way.
I loved this second chance/forbidden office romance! Nick & Lizzy have a chance meeting one evening at a bar in San Francisco. They connect instantly and have an anonymous night of unforgettable passion. Now three months later, in New York, Lizzy is interviewing for a coveted programming internship with the sexy, dominant man she has never forgotten. Nick has never forgotten Lizzy either. But he never crosses lines with employees, even one as sexy and talented as Lizzy. He prides himself on always being in control, until Lizzy. Now they can’t stay away from each other and wow is their chemistry off the charts explosive! They both have traumatic pasts that keep them closed off, which makes them understand each other like no one else. The trust and support that grows between them helps them begin to feel whole. But there is someone out for revenge that could come between them and tear that trust to pieces.
Virginia Rose did an amazing job bringing these characters and their moving and passionate story to life. She easily, and beautifully, brought out the range of emotions these characters went through as they discovered and made peace with their trauma, allowing us to see them with empathy and understanding. I was totally captivated by her performance from start to finish.
Absolutely loved this story. Lizzy is Kat’s younger sister from Dirty Deal. I loved Lizzy. She’s young and smart and has a take no crap attitude. She’s full of life compared to the accident she had years ago. And Pheonix (Nick). He definitely has his hands full with her. I loved this story when it first came out and loved reading it again.
Nick and Lizzy first meet in San Francisco. Lizzy is lonely. She misses her sister and her home in New York. When she meets Nick, she introduces herself as Marie. She figures it will be one night and they’ll never see each other again. Turns out to be a very memorable night. Lizzy applies for an internship in New York. She wants to go home. During the interview she realizes her new boss is Nick. The interview goes horribly and the story builds from there.
This story pulled me in. The relationship between Nick and Lizzy fascinated me. I really didn’t know where it was going. I had to keep turning pages so I could see what was going to happen between the two of them. Lizzy is a great character. She is strong, brave and intelligent. Nick Is a brilliant programmer. He is gorgeous, calm, cool and always in control. He is always formal and hard to read. It took me awhile to figure him out. Loved the emotional aspect of this story and the details of the characters.
A chance encounter leads to a night that proves to be unforgettable. Kaswell is the queen of electricity. Dirty Boss is powerful proof why she deserves that crown. Nick and Lizzy are both haunted by a night they’d like to forget. He’s the boss. She’s a potential employer. She needs the job. He owns her body. Will that one night of pleasure cost more than either can afford to give? A heatwave that packs an emotional punch is a delicious combination. Total winner!
I loved Lizzys book! Nick is a control freak, but also sweet, sexy and brilliant! We learned that Nick has a terrible past that makes it hard for him to trust. Reading about Lizzy and Nick putting aside their walls to find love is beautiful. I loved both the books in this series! I hope Blakes sister and Nicks brother get their own books too!
Nick can be oh so dirty with Lizzy
Crystal is one of my favorite authors and this book did not disappoint. Lizzy spends her birthday with Nick when her friend cancels on her. They both seize the moment for what it is, but neither is expecting to be reunited months later when Lizzy applies for Nick’s internship. Nick has a no fraternization policy which Lizzy presses Nick into breaking. But when Nick’s company is about to be sold, will Lizzy do what she knows Nick needs? Will Nick realize what he needs more? You have to read to find out and will enjoy this steamy read!
Whew! This book was previously published as Billionaire’s Control. This office romance focuses on Lizzy and Nick, and it is scorching hot. It’s a bit light on plot (and I didn’t mind a bit) but focuses on the characters, both of whom have pasts that they don’t let define them. I found it to be well-written with good pacing, a bit of angst but not so much I wanted to stop reading. In fact, I found it quick, easy, and enjoyable to read. My only regret is that I haven’t read Dirty Deal, which is the first in this duet, and now I’m dying to find out Lizzy’s sister’s story!
I received a copy of this book. My honest review is voluntarily provided.
I first came across Lizzy, the lead in Crystal Kaswell’s Dirty Boss when she was a supporting character in her sister Kit’s tale, Dirty Deal. But for the fact that The stars of that book were so fabulous, Lizzy would’ve stolen the show. I was hoping that she’d get her own story and this book serves her well. Hot as hot can be (really, I mean that), Lizzy and Nick’s romance is also just a truly well done story with well-crafted characters and a string plot. It’s also as totally fun as I anticipated. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
Nick is a tech CEO who is also controlling. Lizzie is looking for an internship in NYC to be near her sister Kay. The storyline was well written and the characters were wonderful. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
