He’s the son of a Mafia crime boss. She’s a L.A.P.D. detective. They were never supposed to be anything more than cop and criminal. Ruthless. Cruel. A monster cloaked in a suit and tie with dark, sinister eyes. Drago Acerbi has a reputation that mirrors his father’s. He’s dangerous and not a man you want to get caught in his line of sight. To be on his radar could be life threatening. But when a … threatening.
But when a young mother walks into Brianna’s precinct with a three month old baby only to leave without her child half an hour later, Detective Andrews is stumped for the first time in her career. The claims against Acerbi aren’t farfetched but something about them doesn’t add up either.
When her boss assigns her the task of gathering evidence that will put Acerbi behind bars, Bri has a nagging feeling that not everything is cut and dry. Perhaps it’s not Drago she should be afraid of—maybe it’s a fellow badge, a college in law enforcement that can’t be trusted . . .
*** This is book one of three. The story does not conclude until the last book in the trilogy. ***

Good read, however it ends with a cliffhanger.
Loved it but, it is a cliffhanger. You’ll have to but more books for the full story.
Not happening here.
The author is very descriptive in terms of her characters. Entertaining and very sexy. A good story line. I would like it if her story involved only one book instead of a series of books. Highly recommend.
I did not realize that this is a serial. Do not expect an ending. I rated this a 3 because of this. This is written in first person, so you become involved with the h immediately. I was so disappointed when it ended abruptly.
Great book well written
I liked the story and the characters, but I do not
Like to read a book and then have to buy the next book or two in order to find out how the story ends. Author should tell that the story is in three parts when selling the first book.
Great story. Warning part of a multiple book series
So good!!! I literally started it and couldn’t put it down.
Great read, hated the way it ended.
I honestly prefer a book to be a book, not a continuation happening sometime down the road. Lemme finish and say yeah…good book or rel good book or the like….I don’t buy books with sequels unless it’s out with the prequel.
Great! Could not put it down. Ended too soon.
It is so frustrating when you are really into a book that ends with a cliffhanger
Loved it but was disappointed that I have to get the second book to find out it ends
There was no warning that this is a cliffhanger – ending abruptly at a crucial point in an otherwise enjoyable story. It is for this reason I would never recommend it.
I read this in 3 hours! Loved the chareters!
This book ends in the middle of a major event – one minute the character is being helped by a paramedic and the next page it says “Thank you for reading. Bri and Drago’s story will continue in DIRTY WAR”. This is essentially half (or less) of a book. If you write a good book, readers will purchase the next book in the series. Splitting one book into two or three books in order to get more sales, make more money, or whatever reason has cost you this reader. Although I really enjoyed the story, I will not support authors who do this.
Dirty Blue Let’s talk yummy men for a minute . . .
So I just read “Dirty Blue” by N. E. Henderson and let me tell you, Drago Acerbi is one hot hunk of a man. It’s definitely not what I was expecting when going into the world of cops and drug lords. From the start he’s domineering, well put together, and has all the mystery we ladies love in a man. Regardless of his reputation I wanted more.
I loved the sexual chemistry these two have even though Brie fights it tooth and nail at the risk of ruining her career. It shows her strength that she’s not willing to just walk away from her responsibility of the adult thing we all know as a job. In the beginning I thought she was going to be a spoilt rich girl that just ended up behind a desk, but with a sudden turn of events she ends up with anything other than ordinary. Instead of dumping the situation off on someone else she takes it willingly, and over time, it’s the very thing that builds her character.
This book was a page-turner for sure. I loved the setup, the characters, including secondary, and the details of her job. There were times my heart was racing, my thoughts were running wild, and twists had me eager to read more. That ending–can’t wait to see what “Dirty War” holds. My only hope is that we get more of a look into what goes on in the head of Drago, as book one is told in only Brie’s POV.
5-star read! And I definitely recommend!N. E. Henderson
