I absolutely loved Dirty Bastard and couldn’t wait for the next book. Well, Emily Minton and Shelley Springfield have done it again! I loved Filthy Bastard just as much and was completely sucked in from the first page. We meet Brew and Addy in the first book and I couldn’t wait to read their story.
Brew comes from a wealthy family who turned their backs on him. Leaving them and all their money behind, and joining the Grim Bastards was the best thing he ever did.
Addy comes from a wealthy family and to the outside world, looks like she has the life everyone should be envious of. Too bad they don’t know her mother could give Mommie Dearest a run for her money! Forced into doing things she never thought would happen, it’s like a vacation/freedom all rolled into one when she and Trix are kidnapped by the Grim Bastards MC. Scared at first, but then quickly put at ease by the gorgeousness that is Brew. You feel their chemistry from moment one and it quickly ignites into an inferno.
Their love story is an unconventional one at best, but they totally own it! Both come from wealthy parents who could care less about them and would trade all the money in the world for them. This story is raw, gritty, heartbreaking, and heartwarming. It just proves all over again that family does not have to be blood.

I wanted to love it, I really did. Boz and Trix have always had some feelings, starting out with Boz being protective of her. 8-10 years later there are still feelings, but then a kidnapping turns into love. Not really believable. There is so much more to it, and I get it. I can’t wait to see how this series turns out, because I am going to read them all. On to Filthy Bastard.
Good read but nothing special or exciting. Characters and plot very predictable. Found myself skipping ahead because I already knew what would happen
This story was good, if not a bit predictable. It did follow the “typical” MC script but it was good and entertaining. It was written as a hard MC story, but did not come across as that to me. It was on the softer and sweeter side of darkness, if that makes since.
What didn’t quite work for me was Bo. He was written as a hard MC President but made some rookie mistakes to further the plot. I also didn’t really “believe” his hardness, he came off as too unsure. I liked his character and I can understand the choices that he made in regards to both the plot and his relationship with Trix; but he just did work for me. He is not a book boyfriend/husband for me, just an interesting read.
**Slight Spoiler**
Also, just FYI (as I was not warned and would have liked to know before reading this story, as it was a trigger for me); there is a heartbreaking scene, or two, with a dog. I am sensitive, maybe overly sensitive, and it really hurt to read. Had I known, I might not have read this story, or at least been on the look out for when I needed to skim ahead.
Over all it was a good book and I will continue with the rest of the series.
Puts you in the mind of the show Sons of Anarchy.
Returned without finishing — not for me.
As is to be expected with an Emily Minton MC read, this one is hot, sexy and chock full of MC drama!! Being co written by Shelley Springfield I didn’t know what to expect, but the writing styles mesh so well, it works amazingly, I cannot wait to get book two in this series.
Boz’s initial meeting with Trix is when she’s just shy of 14. His father, President of the Grim Bastard’s at the time, has drug them all to the Satan’s Revenge clubhouse, Trix’s fathers, to party.
Their second encounter is at her 18th birthday party. The clubs been invited to party and celebrate along with many others but this time Boz can’t deny his attraction to Trix and what starts with the promise of one amazing night together ends in tragedy.
Fast forward four years and Boz & Trix are about to come face to face again, just not in a way either of them ever planned.
Believing Satan’s Revenge has taken something belonging to the Grim Bastard’s, Boz takes something precious to them, Trix.
Through kidnapping, backstabbing, sleazy exes, determined fathers, a great friend and loyal brothers, can two people from opposing sides ever have a shot at love?
I may have mentioned that I adore Emily Minton’s MC series, they always suck me in and Dirty Bastard is no different. I knew I was going for a bumpy ride when I read the blurb and the book didn’t disappoint! From start to finish I could not put the book down, I stayed up past my bedtime read the end I just couldn’t face trying to sleep knowing I only had a few more chapters to go!!
The secondary characters in this story are great, I cannot wait for their stories.
2 person POV story that’s a MUST READ!!! Easy to read, follow along and really fall in love with. Enjoyed this story from start to finish without stopping, now that it’s over I am craving more and more it’s like a huge need. Everything was great, different but great; it hooks you in and doesn’t let go 🙂 Kidnapping, almost rape, and loads of alpha men all at the blink of an eye and on every page, total surprise every where you look makes this worth the read over and over again. This amazing and wonderful story ended way to soon!!! I loved everything about it, These authors really know how to put words on paper and emotions right along side those words.
