He’s a Rockstar and she’s a concert pianist. Alejandro was tired of his gold digging girl friend sucking all the life out of him. The problem was she’s manipulative and had his number. When he caught the sight and sounds of Abigail playing at the bar she called to him. He had a plan. Would Abigail go along with it and just maybe become the next best thing to happen in his life?

Zoe Etiienne, a sorority member of the Kappa Omega Epsilon chapter at Tulane University and a is a Law student and struggling a bit. Her family has money and is only 20 minutes away but she loves living with Abigail and Maggie. Aiden was a professor at the University’s Law School. He was looking to start practicing law and his best friend, Zoe’s father was helping him. He had hopes of joining a firm in California. He attends a masquerade ball he sees Zoe across the room and is immediately attracted to her. They flirt and then find themselves a quite romantic and make love. It is only after that they take off their masks. Oh, it is one big surprise she had just had sex with her teacher and her father’s best friend. Now what?
This is a steamy, hot contemporary romance about a taboo relationship between a university professor and his student. The characters are well developed and interesting. The narrative gives insight into their emotions and motivations making them pop to life. The storyline is smooth and easy to read as the author weaves together their love story with their internal struggles and numerous external barriers. They discover what they want and what is truly important to them. It is romantic and steamy. The sexual scenes are expertly incorporated into the story. It is a good love story with some heat.
A Pirate and Princess meet on Mardi Gras day.
Zoe got made up looking like a Princess by her two best friends at their sorority house. Her father was holding a costume party. She would be the only one attending out of the three friends. Maggie was going back home for a parade and Abigail didn’t take the day off from work.
Zoe hoped she would meet her Prince at the party so she was looking forward to it.
Aiden a law professor was attending the costume party dressed as a Pirate. He is a friend of Zoe’s father Russel but the two had never met. Aiden catches sight of Zoe and is enthralled by her. But with their masks on they don’t know who they are.
There it begins something that shouldn’t be, a professor and a student. But it’s something they can’t stop.
Such a great book by J.P. Comeau. Wonderful characters and story line. Recommend it.

J.P. Comeau has outdone hetself with this installment.
Abigail has only one goal in mind after graduation, to become a concert pianist for the orchestra in Louisiana. She is set that it is her fate.
Alejandro is the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Vaporized. After his last performance at Mardi Gras he decides to go to a different bar than his bandmates. Thete he finds Abigail in all het glory playing the piano.
This was a beautifully written love story with a few bumps in the road. I love how the author put in parts of beliefs both Catholic and the New Orleans Voodoo culture. They worked well together! The storyline is wonderful and sweet, yet also sexy. I definitely recommend this book for your TBR.

Dirty Assignment by J. P. Comeau
I gave this book 3 . I love this author, and I will read anything she writes. Unfortunately for me this book wasn’t my favorite of hers.
I just couldn’t connect with Zoe and Aiden characters or their story. To be honest I am not a big fan of Professor/Student romance novels. The reason I read this one is because I review most of J.P. Comeau’s books …..so I gave this one a try.
They met at a masquerade ball, that Zoe’s father gave, they hooked up without knowing who each other was until the end of the night when they removed the mask. They were shocked!!!
She is a law student, and he was teaching constitutional Law at her University ….he was her professor of that class, which she needs to get an A and she was failing.
She would need to improve her grades to straight A’s in order to graduate from Tulane University; then be accepted into Tulane Law School.
Their relationship progressed into a more emotional, and serious boyfriend & girlfriend status. After ups and downs they found their HEA.
It’s a standalone book, no cliffhangers.
While I do not usually read stories about “rock stars” or college students, I like J.P. Comeau so I decided to give this one a try. I have to say, I was glad I did. Often times, “rock star” themes have a lot of drugs and partying in them that can detract from a true romance story. Heart Strings mentions drugs in passing but the story focuses on Alejandro and Abigail – separately and together. Alejandro is in one of the most popular bands in the country and their tour happens to take them to New Orleans where Abigail is a student. They meet, spend time together, and then it’s time for Alejandro to return home – where he has a girlfriend. Abigail is smitten, but she is smitten with the real Alejandro, not the rock star. He finds that he likes the way Abigail is also real: smart, determined to finish her degree, not fawning over the “public Al.” I was happy to find that Comeau did a nice job of writing about two people who find each at a time when they may not realize that they need each other.

They went to a masked ball where they met and they left together. Once the masks are removed she is his pupil so their romance is taboo. What are they going to do? Will they carry on? Will they stop? See if it will

A great taboo romance between student and young professor. They meet at a Mardi Gras masquerade party. There is romance, a little humor and plenty of sparks. It is well written and will keep you turning pages. I received this book as a gift and voluntarily give this review.

Zoe is at her father’s Mardi Gras party and she is dressed as in a princess costume. As she sees this pirate she is taken in my how handsome he is. Both are wearing costumes so they don’t know each other. They sneak off to the gardens for some hot sex. Afterward when they both unmask, they find out he is her professor. So now in class they try to avoid each other but when Zoe needs some tutoring in his class, he must help her but hopes he can keep his hands off her. What to do when it gets too hot to handle? Can these two break the mold and have a HEA. Enjoyable book with enough angst to make it have a dramatic flair without the world ending. Loved the story line and Zoe’s and Aiden’s interaction.

Taboo Romance in the Big Easy!
What started out as a Mardi Gras fling turns into a budding but taboo romance between a spoiled rich student and her college professor. Perfect example of opposites attracting in this sweet, sometimes steamy tale. Enjoy!
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
Zoe is going to a masquerade party her father is throwing but she is dreading it. Coming from a family of lawyers she doesn’t want them to know that she is struggling with a law course. When she runs into a sexy man dressed as a pirate sparks fly between them and before the night is over they have sex. However when the remove the masks reality sinks in when Zoe sees that her sexy pirate is her professor. Aiden wants to forget it happened because he doesn’t want to risk his future however they still have to see each other in class. When Zoe comes to him to some help he misunderstands her and thinks she wants to trade sex for grades until she tells him otherwise. They both try to be professional but with the extra time they spend helping her with extra credit for class the closer they get. Its not long before Aiden admits to himself that he can’t stop thinking about her ad starts making different plans for his future. Will his plans include Zoe? What will her parents think of them being together?
This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first page. The chemistry is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I enjoyed the story. It just seems a little on the fantasy side. Falling for an older man is okay, but to think that it would not affect the family in a big way, I’m not sure that was realistic. But I really enjoyed how Zoe met Aiden and then learning he was her Professor for a class she was having trouble in. The story was good!
I enjoyed this book. It has good characters and a cute story. I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t as “hot and sexy” as the CEO books. Parts of the story were a bit slow for me but then in other parts it skipped over what I would have liked to read.
I have read all of Ms. Comeau’s books and will continue to do so. I just liked the CEO series better.
I was glued to my kindle from the very first page with the great character and storyline development that kept me totally engaged throughout the entire book!
Great storyline and was well written with the characters. Zoe a prelaw student and Aiden a young Professor. All it took was a party called Mardi gras held by Zoes father Russell. Everyone had masks on and that is when things got heated up between.
Thank you for allowing me to review the book it was great.

Great, sweet, sexy taboo romance
I loved this story so so so much. It was entertaining, it was sweet, funny and I easily connected with the characters. The taboo in this romance is delivered with a dose of romantic scenes and sexiness. It’s not artificial, it’s not forced. Words flow effortlessly same as the whole plot. There’s not much drama and enough of angst to build the tension for the reader to be interested in the story line. I spend really great time reading the story of the Princess and her Pirate who found out what is most important in his life.
So this was the first time reading this authors work and I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading more. This was a great story with a great storyline and great characters to read about.Plus it steamy hot, so enjoy everyone.
