Two people from two worlds collide in a test of wills. Olivia Esmerelda Vasques has always been in control—in the boardroom, in the bedroom, and in her life. McKinley it is. Not her idea of fun, … is. Not her idea of fun, especially after she stumbles into something she can’t quite explain and doesn’t really understand. All she knows is that the sexy warrior she meets has promised to keep her safe. The problem is, she doesn’t know if she can survive him.
Bödvar (Blue) Varangian never expected to have his ass handed to him by the saucy firecracker that barrels into him in the woods. Scared out of her mind, and just a bit moody, she’s now his responsibility. However, she doesn’t take kindly to him telling her what to do, even though she’s been thrust into a world of shifters and vampires and is obviously in way over her head. He knows her type, yet he can’t help wanting to tame her. But his cravings run dark; something he suspects will have her running faster and farther than the threat she currently faces.

Olivia is forced by her company to take a vacation. She goes to Alaska, on a hiking trip. Her entire camp is killed and has been on the run for three days from what looks like vampires but can’t be because they don’t exist. She has a huge wolf chasing her so she heads for the mountains but runs smack into a making Viking god. Blue is thousands of years old and is a werewolf, man, and a beast. His beast is a berserker and others are warriors. One glance at Olivia and he knows she’s his mate. Convincing her is a whole other story. She is put into a world of vampires, wolves, witches, and other creatures of the night. She is not into freaking out so she takes it pretty well. Blue is into BDSM and Olivia is too strong to let a man control her but something about Blue makes her do things she normally wouldn’t.
She is taken to another realm and given the Silver Arrow of Power. It draws her to the Silver Bow of Artemis, which controls all night creatures and everyone wants possession of. She becomes stronger and has memories of her past lives. Can they defeat those who want to control the bow and arrow or will she let it control her?
I didn’t want to say to much because I don’t want to give anything away. I have read several of Ms. Eden’s books and this is by far my favorite. It’s bloody, sexy, and full of surprises. A little BDSM. Action. The sex so hot you’ll need a cold shower.

Tigris Eden does a great job of setting the scene and the mood which enables readers to really become caught up in the fascinating tale because they can pictures the events as they happen. I was getting quite impatient while waiting for this story but I must say that it was worth the wait and I can’t wait for the next book in the Arctic Wolves series.

I was so disappointed with this book I seriously considered putting it into my ‘Dnf Graveyard’.
I read the 1st 2 books in October 2016. I was very impressed with them even though book 1 had a lot of errors, etc. Come to find out I had accidentally received a pre-edited copy. The author & her team saw the problem and sent out the revised copy. I was impressed by the authors imagination and the actions of her team. As soon as this book was listed on Amazon I pre-ordered it. But, by the time it finally came through I was in the middle of reading other books and it took me till July to get to it. I was so excited to finally get to read this.
It started out fantastic with action and suspense.
Then fell & continued to fall in a quagmire that sucked the life out of the story.
There is a massive lack of coherence. A lack of world and character build and sudden changes of characters that aggravates the reader.
There are numerous typos, editing errors and improper sentence structure. Things suddenly pop up in the story like an errant thought. Occasionally there is stilted language.
And my biggest pet peeve, overly repetitive.
I understand wanting to create twist and turns. Those are the things that can really add to the suspense and tension of a story. But they must have a foundation. None of these do and they just make you sigh in frustration.
I am so very sad about this. She had a great series here and for some reason let the ball drop.
The potential was amazing.
Unfortunately its time to lay this series to rest. I picture a viking funeral while a dirge is played and sung. Arrows flaming and tears.
First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review. I also believe that this author is new to me.
Holy shiznet!!! This story is awesome. Olivia is snarky & tough, I love her. Blue is one sexy, hot, berserker. I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it. So many things happening, with werewolves, vampires, witches, Goddesses & Gods. There’s BDSM in this story, but that’s ok for me, I like it. 🙂 I hope there are many more stories to follow. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
