The road trip from hell will change both their lives forever… the one man who hated her.
He was looking for a way out…
Cursed with immortality, wolf shifter Jules Kincaid has been slowly going insane for years as his inner beast balked against their unnatural state. The last thing he needed was to be charged with fetching the petulant and spoiled vampire he hated home. Surely the universe was testing him, but if it brought him closer to his goal of finding the would-be angel that cursed him, he’d do it.
After decades of avoiding each other, forced proximity is the last thing either of them wanted, but as enemies become lovers, it may just prove the one thing they both needed.

Dinner with The Wolf (Misfits & Rogues Series Book 2)
By: Kimberly Forrest
5 out of 5 stars
The story Dinner with The Wolf (Misfits & Rogues Series Book 2) by Kimberly Forrest is a paranormal romance book. It hooked me in from the very beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Vivian Page and Jules Kincaid. Vivian is a vampire who is on the run and out of the sanctuary of Greenlawn Hall. She soon finds that the outside world is a dangerous place. Then Jules shows up to rescue her. Jules is a wolf shifter. He doesn’t like the idea that he has been tasked with finding Vivian. They seem to have a mutual contempt for one another. Now finding themselves in close contact with each other their feelings begin to change. What does the future hold for Jules and Vivian? Read this book to find out. I love stories that include romance and the paranormal. This book is a very good example of why. It does an amazing job of building a world where shifters, vampires, and other creatures live. The story does have some very romantic moments that make the temperature in the room rise. I grew to care about Vivian and Jules with each chapter that I read and found myself wanting them to be happy. I enjoyed the bantering that goes back and forth between them. I also enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters that interact with Vivian and Jules. This is a book that was enjoyable and entertaining to read. Highly recommended.
this was a really great book! she is running because she scared what her maker will do to her. he is a wolf sent to find her and bring her back. only one problem he cant stand her. now there in danger. you must read to find out why!
Jules and Vivian’s story is incredible. Definitely an enemies to lovers story filled with danger and suspense. I especially enjoyed how they were the answer for each other’s issues.
Vivian and Jules hate each other or do they? In fact they don’t really know each other. All that changes when Viv runs away and Jules has to find her. Another run attempt, a murder attempt, a lot of looking inside, and you have a wonderful story.
What I also really liked was how book 2 continued straight from book 1.
After reading the first in this series (Tea with Monsters) I had so many questions related to the rest of the clan at Greenlawn Hall, especially questions regarding Jules Kincaid.
Vivian Page made a deal with a demon decades ago. Her dreams to be a beloved actress drove her to make a deal with Thane Stroud to turn her into a vampire. However, in her quest to never age and be forever beautiful and admired she forgot to read the fine print of her contract and had to leave the world of Hollywood permanently a year after being turned. When things turn deadly at Greenlawn because of the actions of Vivian, rather than face punishment she runs. But in her quest to run she’s left with little options of where she can run to without being hunted by other Borns, plus the world isn’t as accommodating to The Vivian Page as she would’ve thought. Too bad her knight in shining armor that comes to rescue her turns out to be the one man she can’t stand to be inside his presence longer than 5 minutes without them trying to kill each other.
Cursed with immortality Jules Kincaid is slowly loosing himself to his wolf. Centuries beside Emma searching for the angel who cursed them is proving difficult and he’s sure he doesn’t have much longer before he completely loses himself to the insanity and his wolf. He doesn’t have the time nor the want to chase after a spoiled vampire.
However, now when it’s just the two of them with nobody around to buffer their banter and vampire hunter looking for Vivian, Jules and Vivian both get to really know each other and see each other differently. Maybe even start to like each other!
Dinner with the Wolf was a delightfully exciting experience! There were many questions answered and more character development from others in the Greenlawn clan. Now I hope we get to see more about Thane…after all he just saved a woman when he could’ve just left her to die.
I have to admit I really disliked Vivian in the beginning. She was vapid and snobby and too full of herself and selfish. I’m sure I can keep going. I haven’t read book 1 so I do feel lost so I do recommend reading in order. Jules was okay but I felt like we didn’t really get to know him beyond his wife and child years ago. So I wanted more. More about the relationship between the 2 because it was too fast. Reason being they disliked each other and then they didn’t. I have to say I love Margret. Her book will be fun. Thane…I’m not sure about him probably because I know nothing about him. We’ll see. Not a bad read.
You should read book 1 to get the full effect of book 2. Vivian made a deal to stay beautiful but didn’t read the fine print, now she’s seen some things and did some things she shouldn’t have. She flees and Jules is sent after her. Jules and Vivian fight like cats and dogs. I loved reading their banter and arguing. Jules has some inner problems of his own with his wolf and he’s trying to keep his wolf on a leash while also deal with Vivian. This was a great story and I’m anxious to read book 3.
This is the second novel of the series and I highly recommend reading the other book first. Wow well I just got lost in their world once again my eyes were glued to the pages, I felt like I was right there along side the character’s. What really made this story come to life and really jump of the pages was the well written character’s. This story is filled with action and you will find yourself eager to turn the pages as you just can’t wait to know what’s going to happen next!
I give Dinner with The Wolf (Misfits & Rogues Series Book 2) by Kimberly Forrest, 4 stars.
Vampire Vivian is on the run. She did something that could have her maker serving out severe punishment. So she leaves. But she doesn’t realize just how good she had it. An actress before she was turned, she always believed she should be treated like a star. She didn’t realize how good she had it at Greenlawn Hall. Now she’s stuck and ready to admit she was wrong. But she wasn’t expecting the angry man who came to her rescue…..
Jules, an immortal wolf shifter, is put to the task of fetching Vivian and bringing her back. He is not looking forward to spending time alone with this spoiled brat of a vampire — he already has enough trouble with his inner wolf. But this journey is like nothing either of them expected. They each learn that maybe there is more to them than they ever thought possible. Maybe things actually are better than seem. And just maybe there is hope after all.
This is the first book I have read from this author and I didn’t know what to expect. To be honest, Vivian was quite annoying in the beginning but that is the point. She grows so throughout the book. Jules just exists and we learn why as the book goes on. But this is not just about these two. There is quite a bit of action as the book goes on. Not to mention the secondary characters are great too. I cannot wait to learn more about them in other books in the series.
If you like your paranormal romance with some action thrown in, this book is for you.
Dinner with The Wolf by Kimberly Forrest is the second book in the Misfits & Rogues series. I would recommend reading the first book in the series first because there is some background I’m sure will help with this book. I read this book first and enjoyed it but felt like I was missing something. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and look forward to catching more in this series. The main characters Vivian, a vampire, and Jules, a were-shifter do not see eye to eye. Jules is not happy that he is sent to fetch Vivian and bring her back home.
I think their personalities are good because they are different. He is an alpha, but not overbearing and she is a bit petulant. I really enjoyed this and I think there is a lot further for this series to go. I am going to grab book 1 and get ready for a thrilling ride.
This is book two in a series and starts where book one left off. Instead of feeling lost and fumbling around for a few chapters I decided to look back at book one’s reviews to get a feel for what was going on.
This a paranormal series and DINNER WITH THE WOLF explores morality and friendship while maintaining life and sanity.
The characters are strong, the story flows easily and it is an easy story to read. I will continue with this series.
Dinner with The Wolf is the second novel in the Misfits and Rogues series by Kimberly Forrest. This is my first novel by this author.
Taking place after the first book, which follows Vivian after she has made a contract with Thane to not lose her beauty. She is an actress but she didn’t read the fine print and would be in Thane’s debt for 200 years.
Knowing that Thane will kill her after what she did, she runs and in this book she tries to keep a low profile in order to not be found. Jules Kincaid, who doesn’t like her, is tasked with bringing her back, something he doesn’t want to do. Jules is also having trouble with his wolf, and slowing starting to lose his sanity.
Will these two continue to argue and hate each other or is it just cover for their attraction to each other?
It has been some time since I was able to read a paranormal romance novel and there were a few elements I enjoyed. One, being enemies to lovers. No matter how many times I read it, I never get tired of it.
I will admit this was the first time I was not very fond of the female protagonist. She was self centered and just came off vain. Over time, she was more likeable and her character began to develop more.
Overall, I recommend this novel and I look forward to reading the next time.
Dinner with the Wolf is the second book in the series of Misfits & Rogues by Kimberly Forrest. This book cover caught my eye and I was like I have to read this book. I am grateful for trusting my instincts and read this book. Kimberly Forrest does an excellent job of grabbing my attention and keeping it through the entire book. This story is about Vivian Page and Jules Kincaid. Vivian is running from her sanctuary to escape punishment. Then there is Jules Kincaid who is dying inside and does not want to go and get the spoiled little vampire he cannot stand. Vivian and Jules were not friends, one could even say that they are enemies. Will Jules find Vivian to take her back? Will the two who would be enemies save one another on this journey they were forced to do?
So, this is the second book in the series, I was not aware of that when I started reading it and usually I would be lost, but this was perfectly laid out so that I didn’t feel lost. Everything made sense to me, so I applaud the author for a seamless beginning. The characters were the perfect example of this genre and I appreciated that as well. This is a great example of the paranormal romance story, it was full of emotion, action, and just the right amount of danger. It showed that this genre has heart and as always is entertaining. I opened this book and I was instantly enthralled, I could not stop reading it and I think it will be the same for anyone who picks it up.
Dinner With The Wolf by Kimberly Forrest
Misfits & Rogues Series Book 2
My rating: 5 stars
I really liked this book. I love when there is a mix of vampire and werewolf because, why not? The drama, romance and danger left me very satisfied with how this story turned out.
Jules is a wolf shifter. He is destined to live his immortality fighting his wolf. Little by little he is going insane and to add on top of that mess, he has to hunt down Vivian who is on the run. Vivian is a former actress who made a deal with a vampire to be beautiful forever and now she is on the run from her sanctuary. Both characters initially hate one another but slowly we see the attraction coming from both of them. Most people may hate Vivian at first but I could kind of understand her and thought she was a very well written character. Jules and Vivian’s budding relationship was awesome to watch unfold.
I highly recommend this book, it can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading it as a series. I can’t wait to see what the next installment has to offer.
Dinner with The Wolf is the second book in Kimberly Forrest’s Misfits & Rogues series. It follows Vivian, a vampire who has run away from the community she lived in after a mistake left her fearing the punishment she was due. Jules, an immortal wolf shifter, is identified as the best person to go and retrieve Vivian despite the historic tensions between the pair.
It’s an exciting, action-packed book with a well-established urban fantasy setting. I haven’t read the first book in the series and found it easy enough to follow and enjoy the story, but I’m adding that to my tbr list now as I enjoyed Dinner with The Wolf!
I particularly enjoyed the juxtaposition of Vivian and Jules’ attitudes towards immortality. Vivian chose to pursue immortality, whilst Jules received it involuntarily. This leads to some interesting conversations about the price of immortality.
I also liked how the Greenlawn community features a variety of supernatural creatures, and the dynamics between them. It was good to see how they came together when a member of their community, like Vivian, was at risk.
For me, this is a five star book. I love a good urban fantasy and Dinner with The Wolf is detailed without being over complicated. I’d recommend it to fans of vampires and werewolves who like well developed characters and settings.
Vivian flees Greenlawn Hall because she is afraid of her maker. Jules is sent after her. He wants nothing to do with her. Vivian and Jules constantly but heads and fight. They hate each other. Or so it would seem. Sometimes the one for you is the one you never expect.
Dinner with the Wolf continues the Misfits & Rogues Series , after Tea with Monsters (Great Book) , Actress/Vampire Vivian Blake goes on the run after thinking that she was the cause of exposing their world of vampires, shifters, and more. Even though was going to blame others for the exposing of them, she realizes being on the run in the real world is nothing like she thought it would be until she needs the one person that she never felt but hate for him. Jules Kincaid is a wolf shifter that is cursed with immortality and it’s driving his wolf and himself crazy. But even worse he has been sent to retrieve Vivian and he’s not happy about it . For some reason with all that they go thru , something is bringing them together The two enemies find their feeling for each other start changing. No spoilers from me but I love the interaction between the two, sniping at each other and how their feeling for the other slowly start to change. Wonderful book and worth every second of reading it.
