I did not enjoy reading this book. The main characters were too immature for my taste. I gave a 3-star rating because it was not a terrible read, just not to my liking.
More complex than the typical paranormal romance, these characters have dimension and the bad guy is not predictable! It is a clever shifter romance with a mystery to solve set in the UK during an archeological dig. You will definitively dig it!
First in her books made me read them all it was sogood
This book was a good read. I liked the characters and the chemistry. Am looking forward to reading other books in this series.
I found the book to be very boring and unoriginal. I had to flip through several sections so I could finish it early. So many of the books I read anymore, are so familiar. The characters and settings change, but the storyline remains the same. I guess I’ll choose something completely different the next time.
Sex, love, fated mate, mystery, murder, there’s a lot happening
The story progresses at a rapid rate, things are constantly changing for Anna, she’s gone from a true believer in science to, well, almost anything is possible. Probably due to dating a part-time wolf. Luke thinks his HEA is never going to happen, and is alone and will always be. So he’s wrong too. This is a fun and easy read.
I found this difficult to read and didn’t finish it.
Very enjoyable! Archeology has always interested me and pairing it with The paranormal just ticked all the boxes for me.
Enjoyed this book!!!!
This was a free book I picked up after seeing the cover.
Anna lost her father and boyfriend she is also taking care of her mother. Between her mom and her schooling there is no time for much of anything. Anna gave up her dream job for another and stayed in Cookshallow to work on the archaeological site. Things were going great until a new ranger came to monitor the dig site. She has no interest in letting anyone else in so they can leaver her and crush her heart in the process.
Luke is the last of his clan but when archaeologist start digging in his cave he needed to stop anyone from finding his secret. He had to protect his land from others and didn’t need to distraction that Anna could bring. However, he just could not resist her. She was his mate and was going to be his. Can he catch the black wolf before he hurts Anna.
The chemistry between Anna and Luke was great. Seeing Anna get riled up by Luke just because he like to see her get mad and flustered was fun. I enjoyed this story line. There was a few twists and it kept my interest. I’m intrigued to find out what Calebs story is and what type of female is his mate.
So-so not much surprise
The archeological site “background” was clever and original and I liked the realistic characters. Not the best of this genre I’ve ever read as it got a little slow at times but good enough to keep me up late at night to finish – worth buying.
This wasn’t a bad book, but not great either. The title…just too cutesy. I found some glaring holes in the plot line.
It was decent for a freebie. Grammar check and spell check would be useful. The characters were memorable but more historical data would have enhanced the book dramatically.
it was okay. Little far fetched at times even for shape shifters
Great read
I loved the plot and interaction of characters.
Good book, it kept me interested the whole book. GREAT read.
I love the wolf shifter books. The twist with the “black wolf” was excellent. I think your girl gave in way too easily but who am I to say?
Kept my interest
