I really enjoyed this book. Great read!
Really good, read it !
I like the book in general. The end came together a little too smoothly. I was not totally surprised by the identity of the murderer.
The plot was very interesting. I had trouble with the main character in the beginning. As I continued reading, I felt like I understood him better. Switching back and forth between the present and the past was confusing at first and did not always flow smoothly. I will definitely read other books by this author.
I liked it.
A good read.
Great characters and suspense til the very end. Must read the next book in the series. Another “new favorite author”.
Good read
This book is filled with tell rather than show. Weak characterization. Plot alternates between present and past with most of the back story in the past. Abrupt ending without a logical sequence or concrete motives to suspect the culprit. The most important information will be addressed in the next book—a problem with many sequel stories that eave the reader with an unsatisfying ending.
Didn’t see the ending coming. Well written, good characters, complex story line with a surprise perpetrator. Looking forward to reading the next story.
Enjoyed the book so much that I just had to read the next books in the series
Good read
Gloomy tale of a dysfunctional detective who solves crimes by coincidence rather than good, solid police work.
Easy read. Great storyline that kept you wanting to read.
I liked this book enough that I might read an additional book in the series. I did not, however, particularly like the main character–seemed to me like the author needed to lighten up on him and make him a little more personable. Overall, I think I would give this series another chance and see if the character portrayal improves.
Dig Two Grave: A Gripping Crime Thriller ( Solomon Gray Book 1) by Keith Nixon. This book is amazing. Its the story of Detective Solomon Gray who’s 16 year old son disappears at fair and has never been found. When he’s called to an apartment block he just feels something is off, the victim is a 16 year old kid (just like his son) and they say it was suicide but for some reason Gray’s phone number is in this kids phone. How is that possible he doesn’t even know the kid. As he digs deeper into this case bodies pile up and he must face his own ghosts about his son’s disappearance. Will Gray let his own personal tragedy cause him to lose his job or will he solve this crime that may solve his own son’s crime. This book is so good and you get swept up in it quickly! Can’t wait to read another book by Mr. Nixon.
Weird and not my type of read.
I had a very hard time sticking with this story. Ended up ok but really wanted to quit reading many times.
difficult to write about missing children bu this authot starts a new series with a winner the story has dramatic sections in criminal acts but retains a respectability in searching for answers to the son who was lost 10 years ago combining the parental loss and the discoveries related to the suicide provides the readers with a mystery from the start to the end.
