Different as Night and DayI laid my husband to rest….Scott was my world and my future. His love for me transcended the dimensions of time and space—having made provisions for me in the event of his death. He was after all in a war zone and the odds were high he may not come home. But now I can’t help but think about the new man in my life – my husband’s father.Maguire creates a desire deep … desire deep inside of me I never knew existed. This is more than lust. I keep on asking myself the same question. Have I fallen in love with him because he’s so much like my late husband or because he’s his own man? Only time will tell.
After all, you can’t choose love, it chooses you.

Leigh Lennon cuts right to the heart with this emotional, angsty, taboo love story. I loved every second of it. The characters were so broken and so much better together. There were times I was crying for them and times I was laughing with them. And then there were times I wanted to kill and throw my kindle. This storyline was so unique to anything I’ve ever read before. It really makes the reader question what they see as right and wrong and when is love enough to erase all the lines. I will definitely be recommending this book to everyone!
As Different as Night and Day picks up right where Like Father like Son leave off. I ended up liking this book, the duet, better than I thought considering this specific taboo storyline isnt my usual go to. I can’t say its my favorite of Leigh Lennon’s, but overall a story you’d expect from her. As much as I loved Maguire and Holland is the first book I didnt quite feel the same about them in this book, especially Holland. She frustrated me! One minute I really felt for her and what she was going through and another I just wanted to knock her out! It was a never ending cat and mouse game and after a while I was just ready for it to go somewhere. It was a slow, slow burn with these two.
Cue the happy tears Leigh writes stories that have so much depth to them and this duet was no exception. Along with all things taboo and sexy this story reminds us that family is not just blood it’s who you surround yourself with that has a positive Influence on your life. I am so glad Holland & Maguire got their HEA. This duet was such a wonderful read and even if you are hesitant about taboo stories this has so much more to offer and I would recommend you read it!
Oh where do I even begin! This conclusion was everything that I thought it would be. I do have to agree that Holland was a little too back and forth. But then again, with everything that girl was hit with I suppose I can completely understand her constant second guessing herself. The basic gist of this story to me was that love is love is love is love. Why is it anyone else’s business who we love? Does it affect them in any way? No? Then butt out! It is not ours to judge. As long as there is love and people are happy without anyone else getting hurt than I am all for it! While Holland’s back and forth drove me insane, I am absolutely in AWE of steady Maguire was. Once he made that decision, he was totally committed to it and I think that was a huge help and major annoyance for Holland. Personally I think she was just using the “you’re my dead husband’s father” as a way to keep him at arm’s length so that she wouldn’t fall for someone else who would eventually leave her. And Maguire did one heck of a job breaking down all those walls.
Basically I feel like this is a great story that people should read. It has a HUGE lesson embedded in the words. LOVE IS LOVE! We can’t always choose who we love. And we should always follow our hearts because we are the ones that have to live the rest of our lives with the decisions we make.
So this is book two in this duet and if you have not read the first book. Stop. Go back and click it to understand this one. SO, now that that is out of the way, I have to say that Leigh Lennon really hit it hard with the angst and drama in this one. I won’t lie. I struggled reading this one and I had to put it down multiple times because of how much Holland pissed me off! Like grind my gears, I wanna smack her kind of pissed off. Maguire is such a tolerant man. He has the patience of a saint I swear. How he put up with the hot and cold of Holland is beyond me but what the heart wants, the heart wants. I think in the long run though, with this kind of angst and drama, shows how much the maturity and age difference with these two. But in the long run, Maguire grounds Holland in a way that she fights tooth and nail. I love the culmination of these two at the end and how it finally all played out. Even with that insane twist tossed in there.
Overall, this is a unique and raw duet that hits you hard with the feels and rooting for a couple that has ever odd stacked against them
The heart wants what the heart wants, right? I could not wait to get my hands on Different as Night and Day by Leigh Lennon after the ending of book 1 in the duet. What would happen next? Holland and Maguire had finally given in to the chemistry between them and then everything changes again!
Holland is plagued with guilt throughout this story for what she feels for the father of her late husband. Was it because he reminded her of Scott or because of the man Maguire was? But in the end, did it really matter? She could never be with him. Maguire on the other hand knew how he felt about Holland and was ready to fight for her and have a future together. But she pulled away from him at every turn.
Different as Night and Day by Leigh Lennon was full of angst and steamy chemistry. There was so much more push and pull between Holland and Maguire this time around. How could they ever be together with the history between them?

Happy reading!
This book was different as night and day. The forbidden and taboo was on high alert more than ever. Suspense and unknowns filter throughout the storyline.
Good story. HEA.
Nothing is more perfect than the conclusion to this very sexy, forbidden, angtsy and exciting read. It immediately picks up where book 1 left us, we are once again thrust into the complicated relationship between Holland and Maguire which has more emotional ups and downs!
Their situation may not be a conventional one in peoples’ eyes, but you cannot control what your heart wants. If it feels right and you know you can be happy with that person, then you have to grab that chance regardless of what others think. After what happened, Holland tried her very best to avoid Maguire and to stop any kind of romantic feelings for him. For her, that was the best solution in order to keep her daughter safe..
This one was a lot more emotional than the first for so many different reasons. It is a beautifully written forbidden romance that will completely suck you in. This was the perfect ending to Maguire and Holland’s story and was so much more than I could have ever hoped for.
