I’ve only truly loved two things in my life. My club and my son. I gave up one, trying to keep the other safe. It worked, too… until an enemy took my son. But he made one mistake— He left me breathing. There’s nothing I won’t do to save my child.A woman is the last thing I need, especially a woman like Rory McDaniels. She’s stubborn, beautiful and drives me crazy. I’ve told her it’s too dangerous … beautiful and drives me crazy.
I’ve told her it’s too dangerous to be involved with me. She vows to stay, no matter the cost.
She has no idea how high that price might be.
Cliffhanger ahead.

I love reading Jordan Marie books and this one, Diesel is book 1 of the Love & War Duet, but book 2 in the Savage MC-Tennessee Chapter Series. This is the story of Diesel and Rory and is so much more than a simple MC romance, it’s a roller coaster of emotions. Noah and Rory chemistry was off the charts. The plot is deep and full of action, anger, deception, hurt, mistrust, suspense, sexy banter and tension, passion, laugh and a hot alpha biker with an awesome kid. Not a big fan of cliff hangers but I absolutely loved it!No Spoilers here, go buy the book… WORTH IT!!!!!! I can hardly wait for the next book Rory, the conclusion of the Love and War Duet. So, I need to be patient and wait until December to find out!!
Jordan Marie and MC romance are truly soul mates! This story is amazing. It’s funny, hot as hell, heartbreaking … did I mention sexy? Rory and Diesel are off the charts full of chemistry from page one!! How do these two broken people find their way to love and happiness? Read it and see for yourself! You won’t be disappointed in this book! Book 2 of this Duet comes out 12/11/18….
Jordan Marie never ceases to amaze me with her intensely emotional angst filled stories!!
Diesel and Rory’s story doesn’t start out all rainbows and glitter… come to think about it I was waiting for Rory to slap him a few times for me!!!
I can’t wait to read the rest of this angst filled duet to see everything unfold and to see what other “OMG” moments are thrown at us!!
Truly Brilliant!!!
I love this book! I didn’t know what direction it would go and I still don’t know what to expect in the next book, Rory.
The first words that come to mind is; OMG!
I’m not sure what I expected to read but it sure as hell was not this.
I don’t have words to describe how much I loved this story. I loved every single word of it, even the venomous words that Diesel/Noah was throwing Rory’s way. I loved their sweet moments when they were lost in each other. I usually hate cliffy’s but I find myself happy that we’ll get to read more about this complicated couple and hope for them to (FINALLY) find their HEA.

Diesel by Jordan Marie is the second book in her Savage MC- Tennessee series and the first book in the Love and War Duet.
The book picks up where Devil, the previous book and Devil and Torrent’s story- was left off. Diesel’s son is in danger and that’s why he left the MC. He moved into a small town far away. His new neighbor is a gorgeous woman who has her own skeletons in the closet.
Rory is a 28 year old teacher on the run from her abusive boyfriend and vicious mob brother. And her new neighbor is yummy. Both are a bit mangled, but the chemistry between them is through the roof high. He doesn’t believe in the good anymore and wants only casual with no strings attached, but when Rory’s past shows up he acts.
Diesel is a nailbiting, pageturning, nervewrecking read that kept me at the edge of my seat and I couldn’t put it down.
The writing is excellent and the story is more than captivating. I greatly enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next installment.
WHAT WHAT WHAT??? I need book2 now!! I don’t think I can wait that long, I’m so impatient lol Woah, this book surprised me in many ways. I didn’t realise it was going to be a duet, but I think as the author wrote the story it took off and Noah and Rory had a story to tell. I really enjoyed this book.
Noah or Diesel as his club calls him, is a father on the run to protect his boy. He is so cold at the start. So hostile towards any female he comes across. I didn’t agree with how he spoke to Rory a couple of times but it was stopped by the heroine before it got any further.
Rory is the women that Noah needs in his life. She is a bit broken from her past but she is strong and she can stand up to Noah when he is being a bit of an a$$. Rory’s love for Noah’s son is so beautiful, Rory is definitely a winner in my book.
The story is captivating, it definitely had me interested from A to Z. It is action packed and paced well. I like the author’s writing style, and the interesting storyline with so many surprises I did not see coming. I can not wait until December so I can read book 2! Bring it on.

~~ 4 DADDY DIESEL STARS!!~~
“We’re all broken.”
I am a mega admirer of Jordan Marie’s MC romances, so the moment that DIESEL (book 1 of the Love & War duet) hit my kindle, I gobbled it up like a yummy ice cream cone!
THE STORY:
Diesel does not trust women…and with good reason. Now the only thing that truly matters in his life is his club, and his beloved little boy, Ryan, who was nearly lost to him forever.
He will do anything to shelter his son …and that includes walking away from his beloved Savage brotherhood family. So when he and Ryan relocate from Tennessee to a remote village in Montana, to say it’s a tough adjustment for them is putting it mildly. And to make matters worse? Diesel’s highly inconvenient attraction to his new neighbor, the gorgeous, red headed Rory McDaniels, is driving him bonkers!
But …dang it… it’s really hard to resist a chick that has a soft spot for his kid.
However, even though he can’t afford to let his guard down, or allow her to get close to Ryan, his traitorous body aches to claim her as his. Too bad he can’t help acting like a jerk around her which has her insisting she wants nothing to do with him… Even though the wickedly wanton vibes she keeps sending out says the complete opposite! As it turns out, Rory does not trust any easier than he does, and as Diesel comes to recognize a kindred spirit in this beautifully broken woman, the primal protector in him ROARS to the surface!
And when, over time, this tempestuous duo finally stops fighting their smoldering attraction, and join forces to slay their monsters in the dark that’s when the REAL magic happens! But as tragic misunderstandings and sinister enemies threaten to tear them asunder, can love triumph in the end?
MY MUSINGS:
Jordan Marie has done it again! She took me on a full throttle ride of epic proportions that that put my heart in freaking overdrive. The sizzling hot romance, gut punching feels and edge of your seat danger had me gasping for breath, and then just when I began to downshift and rest easy, she PULLED THE RUG OUT FROM UNDER ME!
Talk about a wildly addictive page-turner that hooks you from start to finish! The prologue opens with a bang in the Savage MC compound in TN, and then in chapter one we travel cross country to the rugged mountain village of Whitefish, Montana, the new home turf of the former MC prez and his 5 year old boy, Ryan. But hang on tight cause when this rough, tough and oh so gloriously gruff biker daddy tangles with his pretty, tart-tongued neighbor ….you’d better prepare for BATTLE!
Holy hot tamale!!! Rory and Diesel are oh so combustible together, especially with all that fiery sexual tension oozing off the page! I absolutely loved the delectable push pull, the razor sharp banter, and the manner in which this bullheaded duo try to fight their feelings until they finally go KABOOM!
Diesel is just…hmmm…how to describe him? Well, for starters, the big, blonde biker with abs of steel definite revved my engine! That said, he AIN’T GONNA BE WINNING ANY MR. CONGENIALITY MEDALS anytime soon! And to be perfectly honest, I had a real love/hate relationship with the grouchy dude throughout because he is so cruel toward Rory for a good part of the book and his hot and cold attitude toward this darling woman really, really ticked me off!!!! But…sigh…then he pulls a 180 by doing something so sweet and chivalrous and irresistibly charming for Rory and totally redeems himself! And I can’t help but fall hopelessly in love with him all over again. Yet then of course SOMETHING ELSE would happen to cause him to revert back to flaming a-hole mode!
Sighhh…the impossibly thick headed guy just DID NOT LEARN from his mistakes. But even when I wanted to knock some sense into him, I still felt for the guy. Because, ultimately, I got how damaged he was inside and understood that his deep seated mistrust was rooted in his instinctual need to protect his boy. And make no mistake, he was a fanfreakingtastic, father to young Ryan. Gah…Diesel might not have always been the best boyfriend, but he SCORED big-time—and busted my ovaries something awful—as a dad!
And in case you’re wondering if Rory holds her own against this maddeningly obtuse MC man …oh boy does she ever! This sweet, feisty lass does not let Diesel get away with anything! And, like Diesel, she’s been through the wringer but has such a fighting spirit!
No big surprise…the erotic interludes are scorching hot! But beyond the molten hot sexcapades and smoldering sparks, at its core this is a breathtaking second chance tale of two broken hearted souls who are wrestling with demons from the past and find solace in each other.
As with all of Ms. Marie’s biker romances, the MC brotherhood is phenomenal—a TRUE HIGHLIGHT for me are the Marcum cameos–and the fast paced plot is chock full of adrenaline pumping action, gritty warfare and thrilling twist and turns! And, eeeeek, a jaw dropping cliffy that will leave you SCREAMING!
BOTTOM LINE:
DIESEL is a riveting first installment in the Love & War duet and now I cannot wait for the highly anticipated conclusion, RORY, due to arrive in December!
Loved it!!! Diesel is laying low to protect his son. Nowhere in his plan was he to fall for the girl next door. Rory is feisty and can’t seem to resist Noah inspite of what her head keeps telling her. The twiats and turns these two go through leave you wanting more. And the ending…I wanted MORE ASAP!! December seems too far away! A great book I look forward to the next one.
Freaking Jordan Marie Rocks. She is a total badass lol. Diesel was FANTASTIC!!!!. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book and now i really need part 2 like ASAP. Diesel was part of the Savage MC Ten but after his crazy ex’s try to take his son; he chose to distance himself and start a new life. He goes to a whole in the wall town in Montana with his son Ryan. Not trusting of anyone he is always on high alert and didn’t count on a feisty red head neighbor. Rory is also trying to make a new life for herself and escaped her family and past. She thought she was safe and started to get comfortable with her new life. When she meets Diesel “Noah” everything changes for them. The instant chemistry/passion these two share is off the charts along with the suspense and intrigue. I need part two!!!!!
Oh My Goodness!! Jordan does it to me every time!!!
I’m not sure how I’m going to make it waiting for Rory but man oh man, I loved this book! Diesel and Rory could easily become my favorite Jordan characters.
Rory has been through so much and still stands up and fights for what she wants, and Diesel is the kind of guy you want shake the crap out of one minute and hug for dear life the next!
This is a definite must read and I’ll be waiting not so patiently for Rory!
Diesel was a fantastic MC read. You will love the Savage MC and all they have to offer. This book has action and suspense out the wazoo. The cliffhanger is epic and I can’t wait to read the next installment of this series. Go one click this awesome read today.
This book!!! Omg this book. I don’t know whether to throw my Kindle across the room or clutch it close in desperation for the next book to arrive.
This book was a million kinds of amazing. Diesel was a jerk. He was a huge jerk. But sometimes he was also so sweet and he was a wonderful father. He had his walls up high because of past betrayals but Rory came into his life and made him question everything he thought he wanted.
Rory was amazing. She might have been running from a terrible past, but she’s also strong and a fighter. I loved her sass and they way she made Diesel work to get in her good graces. Even with his adorable son as a big pull in his direction, she still didn’t just give in.
There were moments in this story where I teared up and was so emotionally wrapped up in what was going on. And right up until the end the tale Jordan Marie was weaving had its hooks in me.
I need the next book. I need it now. I need an earlier release. I don’t know if I’m going to make it to December without going crazy. Fingers crossed we get Rory, book two in this duet asap.
okay I have waited for this book for what seems like forever. Jordan Marie is one of my all time favorite authors. I reread her books all the time and anticipate them all. I love the fact that they all have strong females and even stronger men. her books and series just keep getting better and better. even though her books don’t end on this big of a cliffhanger they do end up on a situation that needs to be fixed so that kind of like a cliffhanger. I love how her books kind of intertwine, like what was happening in Devil intertwined with some of the situations in Diesel but only with different characters. it is so amazing to read. I even reread Devil just so I could be up to date before I started this one.
now Diesel that damaged man doesn’t trust us females, and well I cant say that I blame him especially about what has happened to him and his son. this man has cared about 2 things his son and his club. when he has to choose one or the other to keep them both safe he ends up getting the most important thing in his life taken away. Rory what a woman. she kept him on his toes, but her story is just as strong and damaged as he is. they are just two perfectly broken people trying to protect the people they love. as they try and follow their hearts things go completely left and lets just say your more then on the edge of your seat. you are screaming WHAT THE WHAT IS GOING ON?.. and remember this ends on a cliffhanger so if you throw your reading device don’t say we didn’t warn you.
now if only we can Rory like tomorrow my life would be amazing.
Once I started this book I could not put it down and devoured it in one sitting. Jordan Marie had yet again delivered us one hell of a read with Diesel’s story. She has knocked it out of the park with this first instalment in the Love and War Duet. This book is the perfect blend of suspense mixed with intense passion.
I simply loved Diesel, even though he acted like a complete A**hole towards Rory when he meets her, after everything he’s been through I completely understood his defences. His love for his son shown out above everything else.
Diesel has finally met the woman to challenge him in Rory. Despite her being as damaged as him she still has the sass and fire to challenge him. The chemistry is explosive from the minute they meet but they are both fighting demons from their pasts.
Jordan Marie has been quite evil, in a good way, with that ending that will have your jaw hitting the floor and leaving you desperate for the next book in the series Rory
What a gripping and heart wrenching story. It will suck you in from the beginning as it takes you through an emotional roller coaster. It will have you on the edge of your seat as their journey continues. I loved the connection, the banter and the steamy chemistry between those two broken souls. Looking forward to reading more.
Jordan tore my heart out with this book. It’s rare for a book to grab me so deeply, twisted me up and caused tears to flow but Diesel’s story has done that. Waiting for book 2 in this duet is going to kill me I swear. I think I can honestly say this is your best book to date. I want to rave about Diesel and Rory but I’ve been literally left speechless by the emotions this book has evoked. Bravo!
I have been eagerly waiting to read Diesel and let me tell you it is fantastic!
Rory McDaniels meets Noah or Diesel as his MC members know him, on the day he moves into the duplex next door. At first after he warns her away from them, especially his son, she gradually starts to get to know them a bit better.
Oh Rory has such sass, I love it! Her inner strength hasn’t always been there but she has developed it and it sure adds to her character. She has a beautiful nurturing nature as well. Diesel is a pain in the butt quite often but a hot one! He does have his reasons and they are valid however he needs to engage his brain first and mouth second! LOL
Together they have a combustible chemistry and even a soft intimacy that might surprise readers but really Diesel just wants to be loved too. As for Ryan, he is such a cutie, a smart as a whip one too!
There is quite a lot of drama in the story but the intense action is toward to end and it really gets your heart racing. You definitely go through all of the emotions with each character, all of their highs and lows. This is a book where you find yourself thinking, ‘He needs his brother’s at his back, when are his club brothers coming to the rescue?” But alas things might not go down like we want them to as this author constantly likes to change things up, well done too.
I have literally just finished Diesel and want to read Rory so much. Yes this is a cliffhanger but this is such a good story I want it to go on and on.
Holy cliffhanger. The story starts off good, both characters are in Montana looking for a fresh start. Diesel is a single dad on the run with his son, Rory is also on the run from her past. I loved getting to know the characters then all of a sudden the story pulls the emergency brake with your emotions and I definitely finished the book thinking….what in the world. I’m definitely setting the date for the duet conclusion in my calendar because, wow.

So Diesel has just left the club and moved to no mans land to try to protect his son Ryan. He owns a duplex in Montana that very few folks know about. Rory has recently moved into the adjoining duplex. Diesel immediately assumes the worst of Rory, but later decides he can have a relationship with her as long as she stays away from his son.
Not gonna lie here folks, Diesel is a jerk. The bits of tender he shows are countered by total meanness. I was not a fan of him through most of this book. Rory won my heart over almost immediately, and as we learned more about her… sigh.
As this author is known to do her characters have that one moment where no matter what they’ve done the entire book, you forgive them for every single thing they’ve done in the book up to that point.
I am a huge fan of this author. While this book doesn’t have the humor I love in most of her books I am absolutely dying to read the other half of this duet. It is a cliffy, and I think I might’ve made up a few words when I made it to the end, but I’ve no doubt the author will make up for it in the next book (she better or else ( ;).
