Matilda Dare can’t sleep. Her insomnia is one more reason to move to the quirky small town of Goodnight, New Mexico after she inherits a house, a small newspaper, and two old dogs there. But despite the Goodnight name, Matilda still spends hers wide awake, and she has good reason after a reporter is murdered. With a mystery to solve, she begins to investigate the town and uncovers more suspects … suspects than she knows what to do with.
Meanwhile, the hottie cowboy sheriff is doing his own investigation into Matilda, and the mysterious, handsome stranger, who just happens to live with her, is showing up in all the wrong places. As her investigation continues, danger increases, and it might end up spelling lights out for Matilda.
Die Noon is the first installment in the hilarious, romantic Goodnight Mysteries series and a spinoff of the Matchmaker Mysteries.

Highly entertaining, laugh out loud funny book. The characters are a hoot, and the plot is out there, but the reader keep laughing. A great beach, fireside, or quarantine read. Looking forward to the next book in this series. Highly recommend! Happy reading!

This is a fun read. I really enjoyed this series and was so sad when I had read them all. If you want some light entertainment this series is excellent.
This story is screwball comedy meets mystery. Speaking as someone living in a small town in New Mexico, Goodnight isn’t quite as out there as it might seem – but it’s still pretty far out. The characters embrace their crazy with unabashed joy, which makes for a fun mystery.
I enjoyed this book and did not want to stop reading it…good page turner

Easy to read, good twists and entertaining.
One of those books you can set back relax and laugh
Once you read one you have to read them all. Now can’t wait for a new one. Finshed the series so fast, I should of read slower.
Had me laughing my head off in places which was a grand diversion while sitting a hospital room with my recovering husband!
You’ll enjoy if you are an Evanovich fan.
This book has it all. A twisted plot, a number of fun characters, and a bit of romance. Great weekend or beach book!
The location was easy to create in my mind and the characters that animated it were fun. It delivered.
