A DARK MAFIA ROMANCEMy love is wasted like gemstones in the dust, walked over by an oblivious shoe. It takes many suffering years and layers of mountains to squeeze carbon into a precious stone. Now that I’m polished and hard like a diamond, he doesn’t get to kick me back into the dirt.Men like him don’t love women like me.They don’t love.Period.But he made me.He’ll live with me.Because diamonds … made me.
He’ll live with me.
Because diamonds are forever.
* Diamonds are Forever is Book 3 of the Diamonds are Forever trilogy and concludes the story. Diamonds in the Dust (Book 1) and Diamonds in the Rough (Book 2) must be read first to follow the story.

This concludes the Diamonds are Forever Trilogy. Zoe & Maxime have been through an unforgettable journey in this trilogy. Throughout each chapter my vision of Zoe & Maxime has only grown with anticipation for their HEA. In this dark mafia romance, we see how Maxime’s heart is changing for the better with Zoe. His soul knows deep down that LOVE is what Zoe has always wanted. Zoe wants the love reciprocated from Maxime, that’s the main reason for her happiness in her vision of life. She says, “It’s that I can’t deal with never being loved. I long for it with all my soul.” Her soul is torn just like Maxime’s, but in the end their love “shines like a diamond,” even after all that they have been through together.
Charmaine Pauls has written an amazing trilogy. I look forward to the next Diamond Magnate novel.
Fantastic Conclusion!
This has been an epic emotional rollercoaster ride from the very first book to this last fantastic book in this amazing trilogy. The story continued to keep me on edge, captivate me and highly entertain me throughout.
Zoe and Maxime continue on their emotion journey to be together. There story is fraught with hate, anger, disappointment and eventually love. Maxime is still his usual ahole self and at times takes it up a notch. He made me furious and so angry at times. But eventually he does redeem himself and we get the amazing ending we are looking for.
I absolutely loved this trilogy.
Highly recommend.
This is the third last book in the Diamonds are Forever Trilogy, a dark Mafia Romance. This trilogy is interconnected with The Beauty in the Broken. The story continues where the last book left off. OMG! This is a wonderful conclusion to Maxime and Zoe’s epic love story. The story has action, secrets, passion, and love. As an awesome bonus, we get to see Damian and Lina, from Beauty in the Broken, a little more in this story. I LOVE the Epilogues! I HIGHLY recommend this Series. Adara Stevens and Lee Turner Smith did an outstanding job with the narration. Looking forward for the Beauty in the Broken in audiobook! (review updated with the audiobook version)
Diamonds Are Forever, the long awaited final book in this intense, thrilling dark mafia romance trilogy.
Zoe’s plans to escape are successful. Until Maxime finds out and blackmails her to get her back. He dropped everything to find her and lost a lot more in the process. Maxime has changed but so has Zoe.
Zoe and Maxime captured my interest from the very start of the Diamonds are Forever trilogy and slowly weaved their way into my heart (yes Maxime too). Their story is everything that is twisted and suspenseful, a perfectly dark mafia romance.
” .”
” . ‘ , . ‘ .”
Diamonds truly are forever and for Maxime, Zoe is his diamond.
Charmaine Pauls has blown me away with the Diamonds Trilogy, as she does with all of her work. I’m now looking forward to seeing what comes next.
The final book in the Diamonds are Forever Trilogy, has surpassed expectation with the beautifully penned words that close Maxime and Zoe’s story. It is a case of saving the best for last as it embodies everything that makes one heck of a stellar page turning read from beginning to end. It is not a standalone and the books must be read in order. These two complex characters will enthrall readers as they follow their journey which is one emotional roller coaster ride. If you enjoy reading dark romances, then this is one series to pick up. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.
Charmaine Pauls – Diamonds are Forever (Diamonds are Forever Trilogy 3)
.
Masterpiece.
Diamonds are Forever was everything I ever wished to read in a romance book. Troubled characters, interesting plot, everlasting love and lots of angst.
So sophisticated, well written and thought out. The plot is not similar to anything I’ve read before and I read alot of mafia romances. Their journey was full of ups and downs, and through that both characters grew together and alone. The character progress for both main characters were phenomenal. From the first book til the last, the gradual progression. Our heroine was a diamond in the dust who grew stronger from the roughness of his world to changing into hard exterior to adapt to her circumstances. Whereas the hero was a stone cold killer with a heart of ice who grew a conscious overtime and his emotions evolved from unfeeling to compassion and love. His character was uncut and rough around the edges but smooth and suave to the outside world. His alpha aura was in your face like a big sparkling diamond.
I enjoyed reading their highs and lows and all the angsty moments. Their love grew from something artificial to becoming a rare gem that symbolised strength. It was true and genuine.
Diamonds are forever and so is their love.
Diamonds are forged through hardship – high pressure and intense heat in extreme conditions. It built character and a rock solid foundation to their unique relationship. The series has so much depth itll warm you up like a bowl of hot broth on a cold winters day. I cant say this enough. Best series of 2020. My absolute favourite. We are in september but I cant see anything coming close to the emotions this series has drawn for me.
The Diamonds are Forever series is everything. Reading the conclusion was bittersweet; I was desperate to see what happens but felt devastated that the series will come to an end. These books mean so much to me and are easily my favourite series of 2020!!
I look forward to the next Diamond Magnate novel. I’m ashamed to say I didnt know Zoeys brother, Damian had his own book; Beauty in the Broken. Ive been so interested to meet his character from his first mention in this series. Damien and Linas family are so adorable. I cant wait to read his back story and see how it all fits together. I’m not well versed when it comes to Charmain Paul’s books but I think its time I read her whole back list. Shes an unbelievably talented writer. Definetly one of my die hard authors. I absolutely loved this book, it was a perfect way to conclude their love story!
Find out why this series is one of my favourites of this year.
Diamonds in the Dust
Diamonds in the Rough
Soundtrack:
If I could sum up this series in one song it would have to be Miley Cyrus – wrecking Ball. It beautifully conveys their journey.

To say that this trilogy was exciting is like saying lava is hot. To say this story was intoxicating and electric is more like it. The journey of Zoe and Maxime was powerful, energetic, dynamic, passionate, aggressive, spirited and incredibly engaging. It was riddled with secrets, half-truths, lies and betrayals at every corner. There wasn’t a point in this story that wasn’t exciting and vigorous!
The stories that Charmaine shares with us are always so rewarding because the growth her characters and the story itself undergo, is a thing of beauty. They are never superficial and rarely have many rainbows in them, and always come from the shadows of life. Plainly, they are never ordinary and seem to have a life of their own. She has the ability to pull you into the story so you feel it more than just read it. You feel the experience. She is magic!
The pacing of this story matched the ups and downs, the twists and turns, the push and pull and everything in between, fantastically. I was especially please with the growth and redemption this book was cloaked in. A perfect story-line to tie the trilogy together. This can never be said too many times, so I’ll say it once again, Charmaine Pauls has a unique style and voice. Her characters are flawed and real and their journeys are never easy nor are they ever black and white. She is an aggressive writer who isn’t afraid to take a story to the depths of hell if that’s where the story needs to go. I am always incredibly pleased by her storytelling skills and would highly recommend any of her books!
This was mindblowing and so perfect, Maxime and Zoe’ story is a force with so much passion and utterly heartbreaking stuck in their own personal nightmare their obsession knowing no bounds.
God my heart with the twists of their story I nevèr knew what to expect I
have no nails left.
The writing is beyond phenominal you feel it all and they consume you with their pain and love. I Loved Loved them both such strong characters and the obsession never dies and I loved that.
Whew, what a ride this has been as Maxime and Zoe go from forced marriage of convenience to truly in love over the course of three installments. When Diamonds are Forever begins, Zoe’s finally managed to escape by way of help from her beloved brother, and Maxime is scouring the world looking for her. He goes on a rampage of epic proportions without realizing at first that he brought it all upon himself.
Then began Maxime’s period of growth. I’m still not 100% sure he deserves Zoe, but he did redeem himself somewhat by the end and I was happy they obtained the fairytale Zoe had long hoped for. Now, did I fall in love with Maxime? Not really. I still think he’s an asshole. What he did to Zoe, taking her and making her fall for him, all while treating her like shit, walking over her feelings, being cold and indifferent to her suffering, yeah, that’s impossible to get around. Did I soften toward him by the end? Yes. Could Zoe have done better? Yes. But…the heart wants what the heart wants, and for Zoe, Maxime was it, so he ended up getting a pass from me.
In the end, I can say that this trilogy was darkish and delicious, a bit twisted and beyond steamy, and I was really happy they finally got the happiness they had been on the path toward for so long.
This is the 3rd and final book in this trilogy and I do recommend reading them in order. Maxime and Zoe’s story continues with loads of drama, suspense and intrigue. The characters have lots of depth and their story really draws in. An entertaining action packed read with lots of twists and turns, emotion and great chemistry. I really liked it.
I love all Charmaine’s books and Diamonds Forever the final book in the Diamond Magnate trilogy is no exception, it’s a romantic suspense at its best, no spoilers from me except to say there is light at the end of a very dark tunnel. It’s so well written, it flows like liquid, changing from dark to light in a blink of an eye. It’s packed with so much detail that I could actually picture myself there. It’s an emotional ride with twists and turns you don’t see and never expect, hate, love, revenge, guilt, a must read for all. Maxime is willing to give up everything to ensure his future with Zoe, but she is not the naive girl anymore and can’t be manipulated, get this book and read the conclusion for yourself, it’s heart wrenching at times but so good to see how Zoe and Maxime grow and evolve.i was given this as an ARC by the author in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I was happy to provide.
Oh Yes! So much love for this one! What an awesome ending.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The ending of the two prior stories in this trilogy ended on cliffhangers so I knew that at least we would not have a cliffhanger in this story. And thankfully we did not have to wait months and months for the finale.
This portion of the story takes on a different feel than the other two books. The characters are evolving and changing. Circumstances have changed and we are introduced to Zoe’s brother.
Paul’s does a great job with the evolution of the story. Bit by bit she shows us the growth of the characters and while Maxime is still a bit of a hardcore jerk, his one true soft spot is still at the top of the list – Zoe.
Through thick and thin the characters come together for a truly wonderful ending. Paul’s even leaves the door open for another story to bloom. That one sounds just as awesome as the rest of them.
So much love for this story and the series as a whole. I just couldn’t stop reading and once again she dives deep and a bit dark but balances it with the perfect amount of light.
Diamonds are Forever by Charmaine Pauls is book Three in the Diamonds are Forever Trilogy. This continues the story of f Zoe Hart and Maxime ‘Max’ Belshaw, so you really need to read the previous books ‘Diamonds in the Dust’ and ‘Diamonds in the Rough’ before starting this one. Max is working to get back Zoe after he seem to start understanding what she really means to him. Zoe has now matured after being hurt by Max and isn’t the same. So this book has us working through their issues, although Max doesn’t have it easy…nor should he. I am such a fan of this author’s writing. Ms. Pauls takes you into their story and just have you turning page after page until the end. I will be looking for more books from her and I do recommend this book/series.
After the ending of book 2 – I was in the maze while waiting for this book, Ms. Pauls had left us with eyes wide open and begging to know what will happen next to Maxime and Zoe, after what she did in the end that got them apart. (I won’t spill any more info here!)
Zoe managed to get away from her captor, now she’s trying to stand firmly on her feet, grow as a woman, and as a person that can do things on her very own. I loved how she was growing her own strength! She will be someone with her power here.
Maxime is a character that I had expected somehow to take a darker turn here, but it was rather the other way around (which I also liked – don’t get me wrong he was still a dark and brooding man here, just got to know his a little softer side).
Those two will clash and no one can expect what will come out of it when the circumstances change more than anyone had expected – it will be an interesting game that involved those two till the very end.
I loved that the author included here Damian, whom I loved in her other book set in the same world!
This is a great conclusion to the Diamonds are Forever Trilogy. It’s angsty as all hell. I started to get frustrated with Zoe because Maxime is amazing in this book. I really enjoyed his character arc. Zoe has quite a transformation in this book too. She’s figured out how to deal and it’s hard to see, but part of her growth. I’m happy with how this trilogy ended up for them.
If you like angsty dubcon, forced marriage, with a possessive psycho alpha and a romantic and sweet heroine, you need to read this trilogy!
Diamonds are Forever is the third and final installment in the Diamonds are Forever Trilogy. It picks up immediately where Diamonds in the Rough ends on that massive cliffhanger. We follow Zoe as she escapes Maxime’s hold and tries to begin a new life away from all the pain, lies and manipulation that have been fed to her for the past few years. My heart broke for Zoe, she was so tortured by her love for Maxime while trying to reconcile her feelings for a man that has broken her in so many ways. On the other hand, Maxime was terribly broken too. He realizes too late that he’s not emotionless and unable to love and his actions have massive consequences. Zoe and Maxime have a long, angsty journey back to each other. Maxime continues to manipulate and Zoe puts up walls to protect herself. I felt so much for these two, they definitely don’t have an easy road together. They hurt each other but also learn to share a love that transcends everything. I was sad to see their story end but I loved every part of it. Charmaine Pauls is such an excellent storyteller and I am a huge fan of her books. I highly recommend this series, it’s amazing!
Forever love this trilogy! 4 stars
This is the third and final book, so you must read books one and two first. At the beginning of this book, my heart broke for Zoe. It was nice to see Maxime in emotional pain; he deserved it and that is all I will say! Max was actually in emotional pain, but can he feel other emotions like love? Zoe started to change, but was it for better or worse? At a certain point in the book, the pace slowed down, but I cared so much about Zoe, Max and their story that I stayed riveted to the pages. Zoe and Max started unconventionally to say the least, but their relationship can’t be categorized or labelled. If you want an unconventional love story and riveting storytelling, then read this series because I will forever love this trilogy!
*I received an advanced copy of this ebook for my honest review that I am voluntarily leaving.*
Maxime stays true to form in this book with his crazy and manipulating ways and Zoe shows that backbone of steel that we caught a glimpse of in the other two books. It took some trial and error but Maxime finally figured out in order to keep something you love you have to be willingly to let it go. He wanted to cage Zoe and it back fired. Maxime thinks he is incapable of love but beneath all the crazy lays a heart as tough as diamonds. I think he finally proved that love when he was willing to let Zoe be free to make her happy. This was a great ending to an intense read. I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I promise I won’t finish this book in one sitting but dangit all I’m not that strong
I finish this book in one sitting and now I miss Zoe n Maxime already
This last instalment of the trilogy is everything I want for Zoe n Maxime.
After she left him, Maxime do all the things we expect from Charmaine’s men. He give all of him and come to get her back with no grovelling. Cue the eye rolling here
But what do you expect from this mob boss who kidnapped and manipulate a wild flower to fall for him and become his property??
My heart still hurt for Zoe. She’s hurt in the most painfull way with Maxime betrayal. No more the ” love in her eyes naive girl, ” Zoe determine to not let Maxime hurt her anymore. She guard her heart so tight, distance her self from Maxime and basically become another woman. And Maxime sees it too.
It is up to Maxime now. Will this psychopath who have no feelings or remorse willing to let his obsession free?
Will his love that fulls of lies and manipulation will speak truth this time?
How far will Maxime push Zoe until her limit hit the end?
A little spoiler here. There’s this scene with a manequin where Maxime seduce Zoe. And my lawwd that is one
fore play!
Zoe finds her backbone, except when it comes to Max. Max is is changing. Instead of thinking he is emotionless, he might still be, not when it comes to Zoe. Their story is a turbulent romance.
