Special Agent Mitchell is feeling the pressure now that his best friend and fellow agent is engaged. He’s been dating Sam for almost a year but has yet to pop that all-important question and there’s disappointment in her eyes when he remains mum on the subject. Samantha Arnold is a woman on a mission. If her man won’t take that next step, then she’ll just ask him to marry her. Except, things … Except, things aren’t that simple. Somewhere between the euphoria from having a literary agent request her book and picking out a ring for Mitchell, Sam lands in the middle of a hostage situation. Of all the rotten luck.
Finding time alone to discuss their future isn’t meant to be as the Arnold family constantly interrupts. Emotions boil over with a bang at the local shooting range, proving once again their lives will never be the same.

I enjoyed this new “Unlikely Partners” story. Sam and Mitchell have been dating for a while. Everyone around them is getting engaged but Mitchell will not saying anything about their future. Sam decides to take matters into her own hands. However, that definitely goes askew leaving them both questioning their future. This is a captivating read that I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to especially the ending.
This is the fifth book in the Unlikely Partners series. I have really loved reading this series so far. In this book, we get a chance to catch up with Agent Mitchell and Samantha. An incident happens where their commitment is tested, but I think you will be quite pleased with the ending. I really loved the ending – classic Samantha and Mitchell! Loved this book and the series. I definitely recommend you give it a try!

Book five in the Unlikely Partners series a well written story that had me laughing at somethings. Special Agent Patton Mitchell and Samantha Arnold’s story, that wedding scene was something else! The wedding cake summed up their life that day. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is such a fantastic series!! Samantha once again finds herself in a precarious situation through no fault of her own but Mitchell strongly disagrees with her on how the situation was resolved since he saw it as undermining his position as division head of his FBI unit and thus ensues the first really major rift between them! Now they are both questioning their commitment to each other! Is there love strong enough to withstand this or is this splitsville for them? There were so many times when I could see Mitchell reverting back to his former cold, aloof personage and Samantha had her own issues with being relegated to the background as her sister Ashe once again manages to become the primary focus of their parent’s attention. How do Samantha and Mitchell navigate the minefield their relationship has become?!?
I absolutely loved the ending!! It was pure Mitchell and Samantha all the way!!
