I am way behind in this series, but I love it so much I had to get this one.
Dezi doesn’t think he’ll find anyone and the couples at Levi’s compound are so in love it reverberates through everything. He’s been away on assignment but really wants some time close to home and this next assignment is perfect. Within driving distance and his partner the only other single member of the team Vince.
Diamond is the one who designed Ice’s engagement ring for Levi. By accident she has discovered that one of her pieces is a fraud. In order to keep her reputation intact she contacts Levi and Ice to find out what’s going on.
Dezi and Vince are staying near her in Houston as the do the initial investigating. Now Diamond does work from home on occasion so they need to see that layout as well.
It somehow amazes me that so many people are unaware of how things can be compromised in this age of technology. Diamond, as she talks to Dezi, finds more an more interactions that include people that could be at the root of her issues. Although more and more it looks like an inside job.
There are many twists and turns that lead to quite the surprising resolution. Dezi and Diamond turn up the heat pretty quickly and her father coming for a visit certainly adds some intrigue.
I am going back to start this series from the beginning, I want to be sure I don’t miss a single one!
When Dezi get’s the call to go out on a job, he’s ready to go, all his friends are paired up, and he feels like a third wheel. Diamond a jewelry designer, is in trouble. She turns to her friends, Levi and Ice for help. Forgery of her work should be a simple fix, but it’s all so much bigger than that! Crime, danger, betrayal a plenty in this story! But Dezi finds his one!
Dezi and Vince were sent to protect Diamond and find out whose stealing her designs. The book is mostly trying to put clues together to figure out whose out to get her. Some danger and steam, and a kidnapping mixed in. HEA.
Suspenseful with loads of action and stuff going on, a few twists and a ton of bad guys, this is full on and gripping throughout. I loved the strong characters, both Diamond and Dezi are independent and set in their careers but as fate and unscrupulous people try to wreck one career so the other steps in to help. The chemistry is strong from the first minute and this was not dragged out, which is great. It was also nice to see a few other team members around a bit, playing their part in solving the clues and following the trail. As always Dale delivers a fantastic fast paced read that I struggled to put down, various levels of intrigue so you don’t guess or figure out the true villain to fast which keeps interest high and gives satisfaction at the end. I know the couple outcome is a foregone conclusion by now but the plot and obstacles always change and each are unique, and that is what has me coming back for more every time.
Dale Mayer has outdone herself with Dezi’s Diamond. Diamond and Dezi are absolutely perfect for each other. Falling in love and packed full of action Dezi’s Diamond keeps you intrigued throughout the entire book. A must read for all Dale Mayer fans.
Cupid strikes again! When Dezi is sent to investigate a forgery he does not expect to meet his soul mate. However Diamond needs his assistance and investigative skills to see who is targeting her business. She and Dezi have an instant chemistry!
This is a very well written and entertaining story and one I thoroughly enjoyed.
This story is the best of the series so far! An intricate plot with lots of action. Plenty of twists and turns with very likeable characters. It seemed rushed at times especially at the end but a keeper none the less.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
