Devon’s Blind Date by Mia Taylor is an amazing story that I have read. This is book number one in this amazing start to a brand new series that I have loved reading and can not wait for the next book. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about wolf shifters, romantic comedy and fantasy.

Olive goes to Big Sky for a bachelorette party. Devon is a ranger there. He meets her at the bar night 1 and then finds her lost and drunk night 2 and takes her back to his cabin. I didn’t like how being shifters was basically ignored. Didn’t even find out about Olive until almost the end. Did like the ending!!

Devin is a cop but when his personal life goes to hell it starts messing with his professional. His wife has mental issues and when it looks like its going to be a long battle he turns in his resignation and takes a job as a Ranger at a resort in Big Sky. Olive is forced to go to a bachelorette thing at the resort because of a another friend. However once she is there she regrets it and starts drinking. When she hears how they really think of her she walks away from the, But she ends up too drunk and Devin ends up rescuing her and getting her back to her cabin. Yet the next day he stumbles upon her again and she’s crying as well as has been drinking but this time he takes her home with him to recover. When Olive wakes up she realizes that she’s not in her place. Devin makes her feel things she didn’t think she ever would again and she didn’t want to leave. What she didn’t count on was for the women at the bachelorette party caring about her not being around and reporting her missing. Can Devin and Olive be together with how they met? What about his ex wife what is her plan for Devin?

WE have a little bit of confusion in this book. We have Devon who is married, but toke a ranger job in Montana. Olive is a spoiled rich girl that thinks everything is about her. She goes to a bachelorette party that she didn’t really want to go to. Now they meet, but what will happen? Can two different people work something out? Can Devon save her? But wait what happens in the end, read and find out.

Devon, a wolf shifter, was divorced by his wife, when she had to go to a mental asylum. Fleeing the situation he moves to a new place and a new job as a ranger in a small town. One day he meets a drunk woman, who is trying to forget her troubles, Olive. When they match on a dating app, the situation is set for trouble.
A nice romantic story. Nothing special, really, but entertaining and with credible problems for the characters.

The story had so much potential but the characters did not do it for me. Devon went to a lot with his ex-wife. Olive is a socialite and still trying to find her way in life. It was hard to get into the story.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Olive and Devon. The story begins with Devon in Idaho Falls as a police officer dealing with his wife having mental illness. So when he’s given the choice to move to Big Sky Montana to deal with the divorce he’s been dealt, he takes the chance. Olive is going to a bachelorette party at Big sky for a acquaintance. She’s going basically to keep Kendall company. After a rough day she proceeds to get drunk and stumbles to a bar when she meets Ranger Devon who offers to take her back to her cabin. There’s a spark between them. So on the second night when he finds her drunk again in the woods he takes her home. Things really heat up once she gets sober. But an unexpected visitor leaves them reeling. But in the end a great HEA with lots of surprises.

I have to say that I completely enjoyed this story. I got my feet wet as far as shifter romances go only a few months ago and this one just solidified my love for them. Olive is the “poor little rich girl” that isn’t satisfied with life. And Devon is the hot, Park Ranger who also happens to be a shifter. When she gets lost trying to get away from the rest of the girls at their “girls weekend” Devon is there to shall we say rescue her. The author did a tremendous job and made me not only fall in love with the characters, but also the Big Sky State.

*Spoilers* Though the cover shows a photo of a wolf, the wolf barely show up in the story. If this was a movie, the wolf would have just been an extra that could have been cut from the story, which is weird since the wolf is part of the main character!

I enjoyed this book. The story held my attention and I liked these characters. Olive and Devon both have a lot of baggage and issues and I found myself feeling sympathy for both of them. A cute start leads to plenty of emotions, drama and heat. This is my volitional, forthright review.
