Single.People make it sound like it’s a bad thing. When you’ve been in a relationship that almost destroyed you, being single is a gift. You’ve been given your freedom back. You learn to love yourself again. The moment that happens, when you finally allow yourself to feel worth of love, someone amazing walks in your life and makes you want to throw caution to the wind. And for this man… that’s … for this man… that’s exactly what I would do.
Of course, it couldn’t be easy. My past has to walk back into my life, my job, and make me question everything, especially my worth.
Rumors begin to fly around the office causing tension in my new relationship. The people who really know me know the truth, but the gossip is more interesting.

I’ve loved this second episode of Rumors.
Devon and Justine are so cute together. They met at a Ryder’s party and it’s love at first sight. It isn’t easy for them not living in the same city but their feelings are strong until a rumor spreds in Justine’s office and it reaches Devon’s ears undermining their relationship.
I recommend you to start this series right now because it’s really good and you are missing a lot of nice novels.
In the first book of the series rumors helped start a relationship, well it didn’t work so well the next time. Justine had been in a bad way when her relationship broke up. It almost destroyed her. 2 years later she’s met Devon and wouldn’t you know it the devil appears. Justine is working on herself and just getting to the point that she feels she’s strong enough to take him on. I love these two and how the author has them both with different kinds of things to work on. It’s a great read and so are the characters. Devon is what book boyfriends and dreams are all about. I can’t wait to read the story of Angela and Tyler. The peak has me curious.
Justine, what can I say. Love can change people. I didn’t really care for her in the first book, but she matured in this one. The rumor was something else, but they always are aren’t they? I recommend this series for sure!
Justine is just about done with relationships, especially after the way she was cheated on and played by her latest ex. But when she meets Devon at a party, she feels like her luck may have finally changed. For the first time in her life, she thinks she may have finally found a nice guy who puts her first. There’s one big problem, however, he lives in Chicago, more than 200 miles away.
Devon wasn’t looking for anything except to surprise his friend for his birthday. Instead, he found Justine. She has him feeling like she may be the one and he’s willing to get serious fast, even if it means leaving his beloved hometown.
Rumors begin to fly, however, when Justine’s newest client is her lying and cheating ex. And, he isn’t playing fair and is manipulating things to make sure they are spending plenty of time together Justine tries to be the better person, but rumors begin to fly. When those rumors make it all the way to Devon, he’ll need to figure out if he’s ready to walk away or if he’s willing to stay and fight to learn the truth, and for Justine.
I really enjoyed Justine and Devon’s story. Justine had really been put through the wringer by her ex and I was happy to see she found a nice guy in Devon. When she is forced to work with her ex, she doesn’t share the news with Devon, even when warned too by friends . . . and then, you know, rumors happen!
Devon is a sweet guy. He’s willing to make big changes for Justine, but gets way too caught up in the rumors he hears. He does know that he’s miserable without her, however, and needs to find a way to get her back.
I did find the plot to be a bit predictable, but the title kind of gives it away as well . . . you know a rumor is going to cause issues. That certainly didn’t stop my enjoyment of the book, however. Devon and Justine’s storyline is solid. I also enjoyed the side plot between Justine and her roommate which added some depth to the book.
While this book can easily be read as a standalone, It was nice to catch up with Ryder and Emerson and the rest of the crew we met in the first book. 4 stars
