VannaWhile serving as a Marine, my husband survived when an explosion took out the transport he was travelling in. He lived but suffered a traumatic brain injury which wiped his memory. What do you do when your husband doesn’t recognise you or his young son? What if living together is doing neither of you any favours? After two years of trying and we still weren’t more than strangers, I accepted … strangers, I accepted defeat and we parted.
Cas, our son, has grown into an unruly teenager, getting into trouble and needing a father’s guiding hand. At my wits’ end, I set out to find his dad, hoping after all these years, he might have his memory back, or at least, be persuaded to play some part in the life of the son he didn’t accept he had.
Mace
Lizard had been right to worry about the girl wanting her ‘Property of’ tat removed. Putting a patch on someone has meaning in our world. Before we covered it up, we needed to discover who had claimed her as theirs.
I’m a confirmed bachelor, but when we found out who’d put their name on her back, I was one of the first to offer my protection to her, and the kid she brought along with her.

Well son of a gun this book did me right in. I went into this thinking I knew who it would be about and did this author just throw in an extra in for good measure. I loved all these characters and getting to know more of this chapter is great.
Vanna is strong, resilient and still in love with the man she married years before. His brain injury made him forget it all and now she needs help with their son and doesn’t know what else to do.
Mace is a go between and is doing everything right with the backing of all the brothers but when it goes south he makes the call he doesn’t feel right doing. Along the way we also learn of someone else and what a story that is.
There’s many moving parts in this story and many details you need to read to understand. This is no where near anything I’ve read before and done so so well. I felt it all, the pain, the hurt, the love and everything else. I cannot wait to see what she writes next.
Devil’s Spawn: Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter #6 by Manda Mellett
Stars-4
Manda Mellett created one book that intertwined two different love stories (Liz and Vanna and Mace and Shayla). Each couple had ups and downs with huge traumatic events as well. There were times that I felt that there were some areas in the book that felt a bit rushed. However, I feel that Manda did a great job of combining these couples’ story. This book was a good addition to this series.

5-Stars
Devil’s Spawn (Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter #6) by Manda Mellett was a wonderful book. This was definitely my favorite that I have read from this author thus far. This book had an excellent storyline. It was organized, well thought out, had a great plot and amazing climax. I loved the characters and their unique and varied background. The main characters were my favorite of all and I loved the intense focus on family this MC has. This was such a great read and I had a hard time putting it down. I highly recommend this book. Also it can be read as a standalone but does tie in characters from other books.
I don’t know how many more times I can keep praising Manda Mellett and her incredible reads! Each book she creates just seems to get better and better, to the point I never wanted it to end!
This book takes you on an emotional journey, in which this time was following two stories! We follow Lizard’s & Mace’s story each just as powerful and emotional in their own way. We get raw emotions, action, adventure, suspense, danger, passion, romance and heartbreak, it is jammed packed with an incredible storyline and its a read you can’t help but be utterly captivated and invested in, wanting to find out whether our main characters who rightly deserve to get their HEA.
This read is made even better by the fact that it’s written in various POV’s it helps you really connect and understand the characters more, really help you find out what they are really thinking and feeling and I can’t help but connect with them, love them and totally root for them even more.
Manda Mellett can’t do any wrong, she gives us emotion and sexiness without overwhelming you with too much and to make it even better she gives us some hot MC’s. I can’t wait to see what she brings us next, I will eagerly be awaiting more from this series and anything she creates!
Devil’s Spawn is the 6th book in the Colorado Chapter of Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC series. Having really settled into this series by now, the characters and setting are starting to feel really familiar and safe which helps a lot with what is quite a dark book.
The story focuses on two women who have both been through a lot, and have a difficult path ahead of them. Both Vanna and Shayla also have a teenager they are looking after, and Esme and Cas have their own traumas and demons to overcome. In an uncharacteristic turn of events, Mace ends up taking all four in, offering them the protection and support of the Satan’s Devils. This allows him, and us, to learn more about what they have been through and help them to safely move forwards.
I think that the familiarity of the Satan’s Devils at this stage gives a lot to this story, so it’s definitely worth coming at this book from having read at least some of the other Colorado Chapter books. The characters, and the compound where they live, feel safe and as the reader I felt relieved when vulnerable characters were with them.
Something I found particularly poignant about this book was the approach to PTSD. The intertwining storylines give voice to characters who have experienced very different Traumas – military, childhood, sexual. All are treated respectfully and sensitively. Characters are able to relate to and help each other, which is really powerful.
For me, this is a five-star book. I’m really enjoying this series, and this one stood out as one that really engaged me emotionally. I hadn’t read any MC books before this series and it’s really got me hooked, so I’d recommend it even if you don’t think it’s really your thing. It’s worth starting either at the beginning of the Colorado Chapter or the main Satan’s Devils MC series to get to know the characters and their backgrounds.
5 stars!
Awesome story. Truly emotional and heartwarming. This book is romantic and steamy yes, but it is mostly centered around the story, which I was completely obsessed with. My heart broke for Vanna, and knowing that she held out for 12 years hoping that one day her husband, Lizard, would recognize her, even if they never got back what they once had, was so beautiful and touching. I was holding out hope that she could find someone to help her with her son Cas, to guide him and be a good male role model for him. The twist in Lizard’s recovery had my mind blown, I was not expecting it and it had me crying, hoping for another twist in the story.
The story of Vanna and Lizard were my favorite parts but there was also the story of Mace and Shayla. I was devastated to learn of Shayla and little Esme’s lives leading up to their run in with the Devil’s MC. I bawled multiple times knowing what Esme had to go through. I realized I have never had a book throw so much emotions in my face but I loved every minute.
The conclusion of both stories were beautiful, heart wrenching and perfect. I read through this book so fast, I could not stop once I got sucked in. I would highly recommend this book, totally worth it.
Devil’s Spawn (Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter #6) by Manda Mellett. I love this series so much and I’m going to be so sad when it is over. This is the story of Vanna who is married to a marine and a Satan’s Devil Bike Club member, Lizard. While Lizard is overseas he is the victim of an explosion and he suffers a traumatic brain injury which wipes out his memory. He doesn’t remember her or their son. After a couple years of trying to make the marriage work she gives up and the split ways. Vanna moves on but when Cas their son starts giving her trouble she decides to try to find Lizard to see if he can help, if he will even acknowledge they exist. When Vanna goes to Mace a tattoo artist to have her tattoo covered up from Lizard, Mace is attracted to her but he doesn’t do relationships. Why does he feel so protective of her and her son. Will Lizard remember and step up and be a dad to Cas? Will Mace give into his feelings for Vanna? Read this story to find out!
This is one of those series that I have followed from the very beginning and I think this one is my favorite out of the whole series. I highly recommend reading this series from the very beginning because it is just that good and you’ll get the full reading experience that the author intended us readers to have.
I couldn’t put this book down. From page one in was sucked into the story and I couldn’t help but love all of the main characters(some of the side characters too). This was written like it was two story in one and I loved that alot. I was rooting for all the people and wishing for their HEA even if they had some work to get there.
I am looking forward to reading more by this author!
Happy reading!
I have to preface this review with the fact that I have followed, read, and enjoyed Manda Mellett’s novels for quite some time. The Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter is my absolute favorite of hers. This book I was anxious to get my hands on and devour so when I did I made sure to set aside some time to let it sit with me and enjoy completely. I would personally also recommend that you read the novels in order to get a feel and understand the people that make up this amazing team of characters and how they come to be where they are in each novel.
Now, with that said I would say this is a difficult one for me because I found myself struggling a bit. I know things can be a bit difficult to meld together when two or more stories intertwine but usually Manda Mellett kills her novels and they flow well for me. This one I don’t know and still am struggling how to put it into words that this made me struggle and not enjoy quite as much as I would normally do so with a Manda Mellett novel. These characters are still strong and I did enjoy them. I also loved the fact that I felt transformed to the beautiful state of Colorado and my birth state. Always nice to feel as if I felt I went away as I read, especially home for a bit. I am looking forward to getting my hands on the next novel that we get from Manda too!
I have learned when I am going to read a Manda Mellett book I need to sit down get comfy and get ready to be engrossed in her book. If you have not read any of her books I highly recommend her as an author. You will be amazed with her master piece. In this story, her characters are developed and deeply rooted in the story. Vanna really spoke to me. I could really relate to her and what she was going through. It is hard to have a military husband but one that has been damaged in combat is even more difficult. To love someone and have a child with him not to have him remember her or his son is devastating. Mace has reached out to a female and child who Lizard brought into the fold. Mace will offer his protection but will it be enough? This book has so many twists and turns that you will find yourself lost in the book until you are done. I highly recommend this book as well as all her other books as she has become one of my favorite authors.

I love this author, I really do. Her books are so exciting to read and I am always hooked from beginning to end. I think out of all of her books this was the hardest for me to get into but one I was it was one amazing story! There were some unbelievable twists and turns that had me guessing what was going to happen and I was even more excited when I realised that this book wasn’t just Lizards story but Mace’s as well!! Both fantastic stories and both completely different. Having read all of the books in this series I knew the characters and was excited to read their stories especially Mace’s – I wasn’t sure of him to start with but I was completely in love with him by the end of this book!
It’s quite difficult to review this book without giving too much away – so I will say that I 100% recommend it, the author has yet again done a fantastic job with the writing of this story and it is a perfect addition to the Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter series! It is definitely a one click book!!
Every book in this series just gets better and better! The Satan’s Devils just enthrall me! Hot, sexy bikers with heart that put family above all, even if that family isn’t blood. What more can you ask for??? You can’t help but fall for them!
Lizard has been a biker for 10 years. 100% all in. Loves the life. Confirmed bachelor. Can’t imagine living any other way. Mace is pretty much the same. No way is he ever settling down. Can anyone change them or is it true that people don’t change? What happens when you find out everything you believed to be true really wasn’t?
Shayla is on the run…with a property of patch on her back. She walks in to Devil’s Ink to see about getting it covered and draws the suspicion of Liz and Mace. Vanna shows up at the compound, son in tow, looking for her husband…who has no idea who she is!
This book will suck you in and have your emotions all over the place! This book has everything. It’s action packed, suspenseful, full of angst, has characters that will make you laugh and cry and yes, you will love the sexy bits too!
I can’t recommend this series enough! You can read these as stand alones but I would highly suggest reading them in order to get the full effect. These characters feel like family…and I really want to join their MC!
I say this every tim I review an MC novel, but these kind of series are my faovorite. Manda is a unique writer and it’s refreshing to see unique stories for MC books. This one is so emotional! by chapter 6 I was crying but had to keep turning the page to see what was going to happen. It started extremely emotional from the beginning and very sad, but the whole story felt very optomestic at the same time. I’ve read the other books in this series because I love reading about these characters. However, if you wanted to read these as stand alones you could – the writer does a very good job of keeping the story on the main characters that if you haven’t read the other MC guys stories don’t fret. If this is your first book, read the others!!
Devil’s Spawn by Manda Mellett is the sixth book in the Satan’s Devil’s MC Colorado Chapter series. I would definitely recommend reading the series in order so that you can really get the full character development and background to the series.
This series honestly just gets better with each and every book. I don’t know how this author keeps on doing what she does. These characters have to be my favourite so far. I absolutely loved them. They were broken and flawed and yet so strong. You couldn’t help but be drawn to them.
The story itself felt explosive. It was so emotional, in a way that I didn’t expect. I could not put this book down and finished it all in one sitting. It was an amazing book and one I would definitely recommend.
Devil’s Spawn ( Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter #6) by Manda Mellett. We now get Lizard’s book and also Mace!!!!!!
This book made me an emotional wreck the entire time I was reading. This book was definitely a special treat though. It was like getting two books in one.
Lizard has everything he wants: his MC brothers, family and women at his disposal. When a part of his past shows up into his present, will he realize that what he thought was everything he ever wanted was never what he actually wanted or needed…..
This book was filled with love, heartache, second chances, rage and A LOT of emotions.
I LOVED this book and I can not wait for more!!!!

This is another amazing book in the Satan’s Devils series. Each book that I read keeps getting better and better. One thing that I loved about this story is how the author shows the repercussions of a head injury. Lizard received a head trauma while serving his country. It didn’t affect only him but multiple people. It changed their lives dramatically. I think the author did an excellent job portraying the characters emotions and how they handled the situation.
Aside from this, there is the added storyline of Shay and Mace. This brought lots of action and danger. Ms. Mellett managed to tie the two storylines together seamlessly. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and am curious to see who Lindy will hook up with in the next book.
This book has a couple of storylines that are taking place simultaneously. Although they are separate, they are intertwined and connected to make a larger story. As a fan of the previous Satan’s Devils MC books, this book delved deeper into their lives and provided the stories for some of the characters that I have enjoyed from previous books.
This book focuses on Lizard and Mace. Both are members of the MC that we have met in previous books. Like in previous books, we are introduced to new characters that will turn the lives of these men upside down. Both Lizard and Mace are die-hard bachelors that enjoy the freedom to spend evenings with the sweet butts, sometimes even sharing the sweet butts between themselves. However, Lizard has a past that refuses to let him go and Mace meets a woman who deserves more than the one night he usually gives civilian women.
Vanna and Shayla are new characters in this book…and they are both extremely strong characters. They have been dealt crappy hands in life and have done what they needed to do in order to survive and keep moving forward. I found myself enjoying both of them and wanted them to get the happiness they have earned.
This is one of those series that just gets better as it goes forward. We are constantly getting to learn more about the members of the MC, with characters from the past making appearances in every book. I am invested in these characters and am looking forward to future books. And that epilogue…I need to know more about those characters ASAP!
Loved this book and these characters. Mace and Liz are great H and Vanna and Shayla are strong h. A great story from beginning to end!
This is another book I’m reading from this author and I’m beginning to enjoy not only the series but the way the author keeps all the stories connected. I enjoy the way the stories are told because it’s suspenseful, loving, mysterious, and intriguing. This book was quite the page-turner because what I love about this author is everything chapter after chapter is connected which is great for anybody a sucker (like I am) for a series. This book most definitely pulled at my heartstrings because you feel for the best for everyone involved. Your heart is torn for Vanna who had to go on with life as a single mother even though her husband was alive but his memory was erased following as a Marine. Vanna is a hell of a woman and your heart aches for her as she attempts to reconnect her family through the memory of her husband who has to re-meet the couple’s son.
Cas, the couple’s son, has become an unruly teenager who needs a father’s guidance. Lizard, Cas’ dad, has been absent in his son’s life but is about to be more present as this story develops. Lizard is about to discover his past as he’s covering a tattoo for a client.
The author wrote this in a way that’s tragic but not in the way you’d think. You’re drawn to the characters but not for the obvious reasons and yet you hope they reconnect. Full of twists and turns and is unpredictable in the best way. This series led to a beautiful ending that the reader wasn’t expecting. I loved this book and can’t say that enough!
I loved this book! There is really no other way to say it. Stunning, shocking and emotional are all rolled into this outstanding story. Tears…be ready for them because they are gonna roll. Every book this author writes seems to get better and more complex. This is a series that I can’t wait to dive into and I love but hate getting to that last page.
These characters are being broken down. It’s heart wrenching to watch…err read. I can’t imagine what Vanna has been through. She’s had to become strong….only to be lifted higher…then dropped back down to the bottom. The camaraderie and brotherhood between these men and heck even their women is admirable. I enjoy all their times together.
The anger/fear can be felt through the words on these pages. The characters have those emotions just for different reasons and it comes out of them differently. They are worried about the past, the present and the future.
I literally CAN NOT WAIT until I get to read more words from this stunning author. Until then….its rereading stories of this MC life and characters.
