In the start of a sizzling new series, bestselling author Megan Crane takes readers deep into bayou country, where the sultry swamp has nothing on the heat of Louisiana’s fiercest bikers: the Devil’s Keepers. Merritt Broussard grew up knowing she had two choices if she stayed in Lagrange: run with the outlaws or get left in their dust. So she got the hell out, leaving behind a bad-boy biker and … bad-boy biker and scorching memories of their summer fling. Now Merritt’s back, with trouble on her tail, and the sergeant-at-arms of the Devil’s Keepers is the one person she can still trust. But Greeley isn’t the boy she remembers. He’s harder now, more dangerous—and even more alluring.
Joseph “Greeley” Shaw loves two things: his bike and his club. At eighteen, he escaped a rough life, found the Devil’s Keepers on the wrong side of a bad weekend, and never looked back. Greeley swore to live and die by their code: Devil’s Keepers first, Devil’s Keepers forever. No one comes between him and his brothers—except for the tantalizing woman who touched his soul. Greeley’s the kind of man who honors his commitments . . . and Merritt is one promise he’s determined to keep.

Megan Crane is a great writer. The story doesn’t dwell on small insignificant things but gets right to the heart of the plot. Great story.
Great start to this series!
I read Devil’s Honor about a year ago but have yet to shake myself free of the intensely sexual images. Megan’s word mastery took me up to my eyebrows in one hell of a hot world. Most erotica focuses on the characters’ physical journey, but Megan is a master of blending body and emotion.
Now this one I could fan girl on in a heartbeat. 5 stars for me. I started it yesterday evening and stayed up until 2am reading it. Believe me I have to really be into a book to stay up reading that late. I first fell in love with this author’s writing in Make You Burn (The Deacons of Bourbon Street). Her writing is so descriptive that I feel like I’m watching a movie instead of reading a book. In the former book she took me back to my visits to New Orleans and in this book her descriptions of Louisiana Cajun country and old southern culture just put me in the scene. I absolutely loved the main characters and the love story was one of the best I’ve read in a while. I can’t wait for more books in this series. I could just keep going on and on about this book but suffice it to say that I loved it.
Merritt is the good girl from the right side of the tracks destined to leave podunk LaGrange for bigger and better things. Her BFF, Lanie, is the total opposite of Merritt, wild, free and happy to stay true to her roots. Merritt takes a bet from Lanie and shows up at the strip club and meets Greeley. He’s the bad boy MC club member who hasn’t led a rosy life. They feel the instant attraction and within an hour have hot sex, which leads to a summer of clandestine meetings. Greeley is a hard a** but he falls and falls hard for Merritt. He begs her to stay with him and not follow her plans of the ivy league college and law school. But she runs. Merritt’s daddy is the doctor for the club, not a member, and he’s always kept her away from the club members. He’s a cold father, giving little affection but always pushing Merritt to leave and get away from LaGrange. She leaves Greeley behind and finds a new career and life in New York City.
Five years later, she’s back in LaGrange hiding from her crazed boyfriend. Greeley told her when she left the first time not to ever come back. Thus begins the story of first love, only love and love rising from the ashes between Merritt and Greeley. He fights it at first and comes across as a total a**. She fights it at first because she feels she has to do what her father wanted, leave LaGrange. But in the end, she knows Greeley is the only one she can love and he’s the only one that can protect her. She finds that, after all, LaGrange is not such a bad place to be.
I would rate this book more than 5 stars if possible and I hope there’s another book coming soon for T’Roscoe. Loved the secondary characters and can see the potential for a series here that would hook me completely.
Not good enough to want to continue the series.
I love biker stories and this is one of my favorites. You have it all..sex, a crazy ex, second chances, and a woman who finally realizes where home is.
Merritt lived in Lagrange her whole life. Her father was the town’s doctor, so he also took care of the club’s injuries when needed. He pushed Merritt to leave and become something better. So she goes to law school and gets a job in New York. But when her boyfriend/boss gets a little crazy, she goes back to Lagrange, after being gone for five years, to hide out.
Greeley is the sergeant at arms for the Devil’s Keepers motorcycle club. Merritt is the only woman he ever said “I love you” to and she still left him. Greeley is older and wiser and swears he won’t make the same mistake twice. But he can’t stay away and the sex is just as hot as he remembered. Can he fight her demons and get her to stay or will he lose her again.
Explicit sex scenes that will burn your ereader up. I read this in one day. Could not put it down!

I loved it. I am reading the series now. I love all MC books
Easy and enjoyable read.
The characters were great. I loved the storyline.
I liked this book. I became so attached to the characters and the plot of the book and it’s tentacles that I immediately purchased the 2nd in the series (“Uptown’s story). Don’t miss it. Then I couldn’t stop there and hurriedly devoured that book and jumped to the 3rd book that I am just ready to start now.
