Liam “Hunter” Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows his duty. He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has a daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her.Em has lived her entire life in … life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club’s president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who isn’t afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn’t afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he’s The One.
Or so she thinks.

I love all the books in Joanna Wylde’s Reapers MC series, and Devil’s Game is no exception. Hunter and Em are terrific characters. They face a Romeo and Juliet situation–but find their happy ending.
This entire series is awesome. Wonderful characters each with thier own intertwined story. Excellent MC series a must read keeps you captured
4.5
h: Em
H: Liam aka Hunter
(Dual POVs)
Hunter follows Em, gets intel on her, and even befriends her online as a typical civilian to have something that the Devil’s Jacks might be able to use against the Reapers in the future if things continue to be a struggle between the two MCs. During Hunter and Em’s first time meeting in person, it just so happens a rogue Reaper shoots at some Devil’s Jacks, which causes Hunter to kidnap Em.
I love that this book goes back a little bit before the kidnapping so we get to see a little of Em and Liam’s interaction beforehand. I’m in love with Hunter. I adore his loyalty and his determination to fight for his woman. I particularly appreciate when a MC guy has the same loyalty and fight for his woman as he does his club. I also loved Em’s feistiness that came from growing up surrounded by a MC. I thought the way Em gets back at Hunter for both the kidnapping and pictures was hilarious
One small detail I didn’t understand was the scene where Hunter wakes up to a random chick giving him a blowjob. He throws her off of him, and that’s the last we hear about it. It doesn’t cause an arguement between him and Em, and doesn’t seem to have any significance in the story as a whole, other than to maybe upset a reader who might consider it as cheating.. Overall, I really loved this book and it was my favorite in the series so far!
Favorite quotes:
Maybe a second round wasn’t out of the question?
“Next time I’ll rip your dick off,” she muttered, eyes narrowing. Okay, so round two was definitely out for now. Noted. -Hunter
”Care to tell me what you and your brothers were doin’ earlier tonight?”
Your daughter, up against a wall in a dirty alley.
Yeah, probably best not to mention that.
-Hunter
”’Love’ is a word that doesn’t mean a damned thing to me. ‘Em,’ though? That’s a word that means everything. I’d die for you, babe. Kill for you, too. I stood up to my club for you and I don’t regret any of it, not for a minute.” -Hunter
Great story. Engrossing. Writing is very good.
As usual, the author wrote another book in this series that I thoroughly enjoyed. I was happy to see Em finally find her true love, although at times I didn’t know if it was going to last. I liked the way the author delivered a believable plot that allowed Em to fall in love and get a HEA with the leader of one of the Reaper’s arch enemies. Em was a strong heroine who showed some independence and didn’t fall at Liam’s feet. What can I say about Liam? He’s just fine. Really looking forward to Picnic’s story
WOW, just wow.
I love how sassy and hard headed Em is. I love how she thinks thing through as well. She is truly a strong woman. Which is good because she will have to fight to get what she wants. She has a lot of things going against her. One of those things being her dad. Her dad is having problems seeing that she is no longer a child but now a grown woman.
Let me add this about her dad. Some might look at him as suffocating but I see so much love. He truly loved her and wanted what was best for her. I truly believe her saw her potential and knew how valuable she would be when it came to a MC.
Hunter, what can I say but he is yummy. He might have this dangerous edge and appear to be without emotion but underneath all that is a heart. He might of done what he needed to get a job done but that did not mean it did not affect him in someway.
I found it sad that Hunter never really knew love. Well except what he felt for his sister. But true love he never knew. He never had a serious relationship before, Nor did he ever know what it was in his life to have a parent, family member, or care taker to truly love him. So I found that sad. I can’t imagine how scary it was for him to finally have someone that loved him unconditionally.
I love the chemistry that was between Hunter and Em. These two could not help but get lost in each other.
This was such a great book and glad I got a chance to listen to the audio. Loved the narrators as well.
Another great read by Joanna Wylde. Storyline was hot, raw and entertaining. I loved the interaction and chemistry between Liam (Hunter) and Em. I found it a little funny how his simple MC assignment to kidnap Em and also his obsession to have no strings attached sex with her backfires. His obsession quickly becomes more of a possession for him, something he doesn’t want to lose but hasn’t labeled yet. Loved how Liam (Hunter) stands up for what he believes in and is protective of his woman. At the same time growing up as a MC president’s daughter, Em is no pushover. She may be innocent to sex but definitely can hold her own against Liam (Hunter). He seems to bring out the fire in her. I would definitely recommend and can’t wait for more in this series.
5 Star’s From Sammy’s Book Obsession!
Joanna Wylde did it again in this third book in the Reapers MC series! This was a great read! Although, I loved the first two much more, this one was loveable as well. I always enjoy a well written MC/Biker book!
Devil’s game is a great continuation of the series. It flowed well and the characters were well developed. Admittedly, it isn’t my favorite of the series, though. That doesn’t take anything away from the book itself. It was well written as all of the author’s work is.
I can’t wait for the next book in the Reapers MC series! I’m so impatient that the wait between these books kills me, but the next book is always worth the wait!
Oh Liam always honest in the sexy department, “are we having sex?” he asked bluntly. “Because if we aren’t, I need to go jerk off. Not trying to pressure you, Em, but’s it’s the effin’ truth.” The boy says the naughtiest things at the wrong times, “I think you might be prettier tied up,” he whispered. “Christ, I want to eff you.” Liam he cares for Em, even if he doesn’t want to admit it, and well he has to make sure there are no more boo-boos on her body, “I need so see it,” he said. “You should’ve said something earlier. I could’ve hurt you in the bar. Why the hell didn’t you tell me when it happened?” Have I mentioned our boy is blunt? No, I didn’t think so but he is, “well, I do know I’ve got come all over my pants, and that’s not something that happens every day,” I told her. “You’re effing hot, babe. No matter what other stories you tell yourself, don’t doubt it for a minute. I can’t remember the last time I blew like that. Not sure what it means, but that part’s sure as s*** real.” He’s so romantic isn’t he ladies? He gets a tad bit cranky when he doesn’t see his woman for days, “goddamn, Em – Whose side are you on? I’ve been going hard for four effing days. I drove for six hours to get here and claim my woman, and I wasn’t going to let some pi**ant Reaper prospect keep her from me. You’re mine now. I don’t effing share.” When it comes to Em the boy is all caveman, “nope, just everything about you. Trust me, I don’t feel this way at all when I see that fat chick at the DMV. Now get cleaned up. Or don’t – hell if I care. I liked the idea of my jizz running down your legs for everyone to see.” I love this series, and I loved this book but my favorite is Rugger’s book.
What’s a girl to do when she ends up with the hots for man who is part of a rival MC. Well kick him in the nuts for one grin
This book has many aspects to it. First we get a glimpse of both Emmy and Liam’s child hoods before fast forwarding to a section of time revisited from Reaper’s Legacy finally getting to see what went on behind closed doors between Em and Liam during the kidnapping then finally coming to current day where the truce between the Reapers and Devil Jacks is still paper thin and someone seems to want that truce blown away.
Until I finished this book I couldn’t image how these two were going to make this romance work. Em is the president’s daughter of the Reapers and Liam owes his life to the Devil Jacks. I was rooting for these two and I wasn’t disappointed with their story. Em was a great heroine that stayed true to herself. Liam on the other hand had to go through lots of changes and was never afraid to take Em’s anger when he messed up – which he did a lot.
As Liam was half of this story we got a big glimpse into the Devil Jacks and its members and I wonder if we’ll get some of their stories one day – defiantly like one about Liam’s foster sister.
Because the next book in the series is about Picnic it was great to have the scenes with him and Em’s mom when she was alive to give us a better understanding of the love those two had and to see that the reasons he sleeps with so many women is his way of dealing with the grief. I for one think its high time a new woman comes into his life that makes him stop his man ho ways and finally gets to have a healthy happy relationship again.
This was another great book in the series and cant wait for the next.
Another great book in the series.
This one was exhilarating
