“What is the price you’re willing to pay?”“Money isn’t an issue.”“I’m not talking about money.”Tate is on the hunt to find his best friend’s sister.Eleven years ago, Lucia Dias was abducted. Presumed dead. He never met her, so why does he care? Some might call his efforts noble, but his motivation is more perverse, bordering on obsession. When he follows a chilling lead to Venezuela’s Kidnap Alley, … chilling lead to Venezuela’s Kidnap Alley, what he finds is neither a corpse nor a captive.
Amid poisonous lies and crippling depravity, the price of love is devastation.
And he pays.
With his body, his blood, and her life.

Holy mother of all craziness ! I don’t know what to say!!! First bless Lucia and all she went though. I don’t know how she got through it all but she did AMAZING!! Tate oh Tate you were are flipping amazing, the lengths you went though to save her!!! Van oh Van what you’re still going through to try and right all your wrongs!! I can’t wait to see more of Cole..he is a mystery to me.This book was hard to get through but it fed my love for dark crazy reads!! Pam thank you for the ARC and letting me read your stories, your mind is truly amazing !!!
Tate and Lucia are such great characters. Tate has been through so much and has become a really strong person who will have to be stronger when he realizes that Lucia is the one for him. He is trying to save her and going thru hell for her sister. Lucia has to strong but in a different way to save herself . She has to fight and fight some more to even keep her head above water and one step ahead of the bastard that has a hold on her every day . She has to do some really nasty evil stuff and she is repulsed by it every day to just stay alive . These two are some tough characters and you will love them and hate them at the same . Van is back and trying redeeming himself to Tate in this book even more . He does the most valiant thing I have read . Not going to tell you what it is but it will break your heart into a million pieces . The new guy Cole who was in another series but makes an appearance here . He helps Tate and Van find Lucia and teach them how to survive the hell .
I couldn’t but this book down I got sucked into the story from the first page . This author is a must read for me. She really knows how to take you on a journey that will rip out your heart and stomp on it but she will also repair the pieces of your heart . The story has so many twists and turns that will keep you turning pages. I will say you need to read the other books to really understand what is going on in this book .
How does a perfect love story start?
“It starts with you, a bottle of wine, and a Netflix subscription…”
Hold on to your seats and tighten the belts, it’s a long & bumpy ride.
As much as I’ve LOVED previous 3 books, trust me,this book is even better !
Lucia Dias is now the person who’s presumably dead , but Tate vows to find her and the journey will take you into the Most dangerous alley in the Kidnapping city of Venezuela
Pam has spared no expense in unearthing the nefarious existence of some of the vilest criminals in this impoverished country. Tiago Badell is the crime Lord who has surpassed Van Quiso in cruelty and Matias in absolute power. He rules his corner of the world ruthlessly and cunningly. His weapon of choice- Scarification!!!
I was racing through the story, it is as fast paced and stunning as The Fast & The Furious movies. Lots of action, lots of drama happening , heart pounding, pulse racing madness all around, it’s a virtual Minefield of emotions. Right in the center are Tate and Lucia.
The story of suicidal lovers. A gate carved into skin. They found each other in tragedy. A silent, unified heartbeat in the midst of devastation.
I tell ya….this story will stop your heart and jumpstart it back on ……several times.
Tenacity of human spirit soaked in love, at its finest !!
There’s intense love in here. sizzling hot passion igniting the pages, and some scenes that’ll slay you outright. Cannot wait to read more!!
A 5 star pot boiler
WTF? Can Pam go even darker with this series? I guess the answer is…YES! I was devastated when i found out the hell Lucia had been in all those years, and what she had to endure in order to survive. Tate is my hero, what he does to get her out…..WOW! He’s not alone in his quest,Van is there with him and i love that guy,i never thought i would, but i do! He is a true friend to Tate and helps him in so many ways…..Tiago Badell is the worst, the most evil man i have met and i hope he gets what he deserves! I need Take! I need closure, please Pam!
Incredibly talented and devastatingly diabolical…Pam Godwin is intimidating. Her mind, her world, and her characters are a dark and twisted place but it’s amazing the amount of light that shines through.
Devastate is book 4 in the Deliver series and hopeful still just the beginning. These books are addictive and consuming. They are clever and so intriguing. It’s not possible to be bored. You will never skim a passage, glance over a page, or skip ahead. No, you will be dragged through each sentence trying to capture the significance, haunted by thoughts of possibilities, and desperately patching together your own theories of what and where the story leads. From the catchy and very significant titles of the books and characters names to the unique landscape, everything has a purpose a reason and it’s amazing- the feeling she gives to each and every thing.
Devastate is a relief. It’s an insight into Tate but even more a bit of closure on his, Camila, and Mathias’ back story. Answered questions of how it all came about…
My binge reading the series has been an incredible way to kick off Devastate but this book holds its own. So many things happened to get here and so many more happen in these pages. The build up is incredible. The doubt, the unease, and the guilt weighing on the reader for a hope of something more is just awe inducing. You will feel guilty for wanting more. You will feel shame, slight resentment, and disgust with yourself. It’s incredible how well Ms. Godwin twists the knife of shame in the reader. How she gets your sympathy for her devils…
Devastate is a cleansing though. It’s a second chance. But it’s for all the wrong reasons- at first. It’s a story of a growth. I know I’m gushing but damn it’s a good book. If you want me to stop blabbering on, buy it. Read it. Experience it. But make sure you’ve read them in order…

The next book (I cheated and read in the back of Devastate- where you just skimmed or even stopped reading before all those pages of stuff. You know, acknowledgements and stuff.) is called Take. Which if you noticed the naming pattern….
reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
Devastate, appropriately titled, because devastated is exactly how I felt as I read some parts of this story. It’s gut-wrenching and brutal and beautiful and truth be told, not for the faint of heart. This entire series has been that way, it’s dark and not for everyone, however, there aren’t many authors that can keep me up until 2 am because I just couldn’t stop…I had to know.
Tate and Lucia’s story starts out innocently enough. Tate embarks on a mission to bring closure to someone he loves. His motivation may be a bit self serving, but his heart is in the right place and from the moment the action starts there isn’t a single moment of predictability. Fraught with emotional torment and physical trauma, their HEA deserves nothing less than a standing ovation.
Pam Godwin is a maestro of the written word, when I read her stories I’m transported to a front row seat to witness the action, I’m in the room, albeit there are times I need to cover my eyes. (And possibly a cloth to wipe away the spatter) I cringe, I cry and then…I stare in a catatonic state at my computer screen trying to find the words to describe the spectrum of emotion I experienced to other interested readers. Impossible. I can’t do it justice. You need to experience this series for yourself.
5 Stars
Pam Godwn has certainly grown in her writing talent from the days of Deliver (Deliver #1). Devastate is by far her best work to date!!!
Put on your seatbelt and get ready for the ride! There are no ho-hum parts in this book!! The action packed in this book is nonstop. At my age, I thought the heart palpitations were going to do me in! Started with the first word, I devoured this entire book without stopping! I probably should have taken a break because I have NO Fingernails LEFT!!
While the Freedom Fighters are all surviving. There is one-person Tate cannot forget… Lucia Dias his best friend’s sister. She’s been missing for 11 years presumed to be dead. Finding himself in Venezuela’s Kidnap Alley, this is where the search and rescue begins.
When I hit this spot in the book, my gut fell to the floor….
“What is the price you’re willing to pay?”
“Money isn’t an issue.”
“I’m not talking about money.”
I mean by this point, I’m thinking WTF else can happen!!!
But then I hit the point of agreeing with this…thinking we are smooth sailing from here on out…
“One night. Everyone needs someone. Even me. Tonight, I’m yours. Your someone.”
Buhahahahaha, Boy was I wrong!!!
Loved hearing from all of the characters. I might have even said a time or two while reading this…. Darn, never imagined Van doing that!!! Maybe even gave kudos to him too!
As with all the Deliver books, we get a HEA with no cliffhanger. However, getting to the end of each book is not unicorns and glitter. It’s a brutal ride with appreciation for the talent this author has!!!
#BookBistroBlogApproved
Tate has been on the periphery of the other books and his character not truly known other than for his crush on Camila but wow, you know everything there is to know and more in this book.
Devastate is a book that rips through your sole and drags you to a world you don’t want to visit but one you will just to know what happens. It’s dark but there is also light.
Tate and Vans ‘relationship’ in this book is fascinating and brutal at the same time. The complexity of both characters is exposed and examined in a way that whatever your feelings towards Van you review and decipher them.
I luuuved Tates character, his Alpha male and his fight to be with the one he loves.
Lots of twists, lots of turns.Lucia is not what you expect and there is a lot more to her than meets the eye.
It is difficult to say too much without spoiling things but this is my fave book out of the series so far and yet there is still more to come,I’m on tenterhooks.Five amazing stars

Tate has spent many years loving his roommate from afar. Never acting on his feelings towards Camila, his best friend. Her quest to find her long lost sister ,Lucia, becomes Tate’s conquest with the help of Matias, Van Quiso, and Cole Hartman.
Each story only gets better than the last as Pam finds new ways to win my heart with her characters. I swear, I Have fallen in love with each main character. That’s how deeply invested you become when you’re reading each book in the Deliver series. The fact that each hero is described to look like a GQ model hardened by their past only solidifies my commitment to these books.
“She was stuck in a living nightmare, and there was fuck all he could do about it when he couldn’t get to her.”
The action that takes place with each turn of the page will keep you invested in this story. Tate and Lucia have definitely been given the short end of the stick out of the group, and I can’t wait for you all to see how much he’s grown and come to terms with the life they’ve been dealt.
Grab this book in audio if you want to enhance your experience, because J.F. Harding and Tracy Marks hit the nail on the head with this one. I couldn’t help but listen to their voices nonstop and finished this book in a day.
Another fantastic Pam Godwin read and it still has me on the edge of my seat. Darkness in the world, very descriptive and that’s what i love most about Pam G’s writing. This is book four in the deliver series following Tate who was also captured by Liv and Van but saved by Liv. Again, this cannot be read as a standalone and must be read in order. Tate is on a mission to help find Camila’s sister who has been missing for eleven years! More unraveling and important names are being identified and it leads to next coming books and its amazing!
This is one of the best series! Devastate is the fourth book in the series, and they should be read in order..
When Tate realized that Camila would never be his, he became obsessed with finding and rescuing her sister Lucia who was taken eleven years earlier. That was something Tate knew he could and would do for her. He just never imagined what it would cost him, nor what he would gain in the process.
Tate is all sexy dominant man. The way he bosses Lucia around and is determined to save her, made me fall for him even more. Lucia has been through so much, yet she is strong and determined and hasn’t given up even though she’s suffered unimaginable traumas. Parts of this story hurt my heart. Parts made me so angry at the kind of people who really exist in our world.
I have a major crush on Van and I was thrilled he played such a big part in this story. All the main male characters in this series have been easy to fall for. They are possessive and fight for the women they love.
Kate’s story Taken is next, and I cannot wait to see what happens. There were a few loose ends with this one, so I’m wondering how everything is going to come together.
Really really enjoyed Tate and Lucia’s book! Tate is so precious and his ‘friendship’ with Van made me so happy. The last 80% dragged a lot for me but other than that I enjoyed this a lot
I’m totally in awe of Pam Godwin’s ability to invent a completely new plot and atmosphere with each new book of the Deliver series.
In Devastate, the 4th installment, we follow the story of Tate (a true alpha that made me swoon: patient, caring, protecting and dominant ) and Lucia, Camilla’s sister, a badass and resilient heroine I instantly connected with.
Once again, the psychological journey, and distress of 6the characters was amazingly handled. It truly was devastating. And beautiful.
Tate is determined to find out what happened to Lucia after the crash plane, and he embarks on a rescue mission. The thing is, is there someone to rescue? The woman isn’t who he thought he would find… Or, is she?
With a Damocles sword hanging over their heads, the most unexpected binome leads the reader through action pack scenes and the most gruesome predicaments. And still, everything is brilliantly counterbalanced by sweet, intimate and heart-wrenching moments.
Meeting the characters of the other books, seeing their interactions, and most of all, their evolution in their healing (yes, even Van) process was very satisfying. They even made me laugh at time, which I never thought would happen. Another sign of the author’s incredible writing.
That book complete a series that keeps me on the wedge of my seat, and I highly recommend it to lovers on the genre, enjoy!!!
Worth reading the entire serries
Devastate is the 4th book of the Deliver series.
You can read it as a standalone but personally I do think you would enjoy it most if you read the first 3 books as you will understand certain characters most.
This book is about Tate who is looking for Camila’s sister Lucia who was kidnapped and apparently killed. He won’t stop till he finds ‘evidence.’
I really loved Van Quiso’s appearance in here, just made me like him more than I did in Vanquish.
The author really does know how to come up with something different each time which doesn’t make it tedious.
I do think this book isn’t as dark compared to the first 3 books, although there are certain dark scenes. I felt like this book was abit of a suspense, as it had me on edge afraid of what was going to happen next.
I definitely recommend this book to those who love forbidden romance and suspense.
5 Dark Delicious Stars!!!
If you thought you read dark romance before then buckle up and be prepared for the ride of your life!!! This is not like the other books in the Deliver series, it is darker and more addictive! I couldn’t put it down once I started. Devastate is Tate’s story with a huge helping of Van who definitely redeems himself in this one!! Lucia is the bad girl we all admire and once her and Tate come together it is full on dynamite!! A gripping dark sexy tale that will leave your heart racing!!! PamGodwin is the absolute Queen of darkness!!!
I really liked this book and I was curious about Tate after last books. Especially after Disclaim. He was so interesting character. When we met Lucia first time, I didn’t know if I liked her. But when story went forward I began to like her more and more. Tate and Lucia were so perfect for each other. But I have to say that Van almost stole the show. Also I like how these books are connected to each other.
TRIGGER WARNING!
Tate’s mother was a whore and when she died the other whore’s raised him. He loved each of them and became a whore himself. At fourteen he was raped and later he was kidnapped and sexually tortured by Van. He’s a sexual dominate and a survivor of abuse.
Tate has loved Camila since she rescued him from the human slavery ring. Knowing Camila is forever out of his reach he is determined to find her lost sister Lucia. When an investigator finds Lucia, Tate is determined to rescue her, even if that means accepting Van as his back up.
Lucia was kidnapped into a slave ring, but after a bus accident was believed dead. In actuality she was taken in by sadistic psychopath who’s business is to kidnap people and ransom them back to their loved ones. She’s forced to participate in the operations until she meets Tate and he gives her hope.
Both of these two have had rough and ugly in their lives, this is another dark tale with rape, torture and abuse, but it also has this amazing love story. What would you do for love? This couple will find out and be taken far beyond what they ever imagined. I don’t often cry for characters but I cried for these two. In addition seeing Van and Tate with all their ugly history together was beyond words. Pam Godwin doesn’t sugar coat life she peels back the glittery to making you see not just the good but also some of the ugly reality and still find humanity.
I voluntarily received this book for an honest review. More of my reviews can be found at https://wyldheartreads.wordpress.com/
If you have been reading the Deliver series then you know Tate’s story and how he would do anything to bring Camila happiness since she is in love with Matias and will never see Tate as anyone other than her friend. If you haven’t read the previous books in the series go back to the beginning or you will be lost as to who the characters are and their relationships with each other. Camila’s sister Lucia has been missing for 11 years and is presumed dead. Tate has been researching Lucia’s accident and has been led to believe that she is alive and working for one of the most notorious kidnappers in Caracas. Tate plans to track Lucia down and get her back to her sister whether she comes willingly or not. Van Quiso comes along to be Tate’s backup even though Tate can barely tolerate him after his own captivity. Lucia has been living a nightmare for the past decade plus. She truly believes that she has no one in the world and that each day is more painful than the previous one. Tate was a good lead but Lucia is amazing. What she has had to endure no person should have to go through. Devestate is a very difficult story to read so prepare yourself. The world of sex trafficking, human trafficking and torture is not a pretty place however these two will find their moments in the sun. It is told from dual POV like the rest of the series and is not for the faint of heart.
Oh. My. Life!!! What a read!!! This series has got better and better with each book!!! I wasn’t expecting to like Tate’s journey quite as much as this, I didn’t think it could be any better that Matias and Camila – I was wrong!!!
Tate is in love with Camila, who belongs to Matias, but you can’t just turn off the love. He decides the next best thing is to look for her missing sister, Lucia, abducted 11 years ago, presumed dead. But he needs help finding her.
Have you read Pam’s Tangled Lies series?? Remember Cole Hartman?? He features in this!!! I was ecstatic that Cole features in here after reading the Tangled Lies series – such an unexpected treat!! Cole is his ‘finder’ – the man has contacts everywhere, everything can be found for the right fee.
Turns out Lucia is alive, working for a Crime Lord in Venezuela. The plan is to get in and talk to her, to let her know her sister is alive. Turns out this is easier said than done, even with the help of Cole and Van, who plays such a major part in this story!!
An absolute gripper of a read, I couldn’t put it down, I was on the edge of my seat. But be warned, like the rest in this series, it is a dark, dark read. Abduction, murder, rape, mutilation – its very gory and exceptionally graphic, I felt I was in there with the characters, it was such an intense read. It makes for very brutal reading at times, heartbreaking, gut wrenching, soul destroying. I was a mess. The feels for what Lucia, Tate and Van end up going through – I have no idea how I got through some of that. My knuckles where white I was gripping my kindle that hard trying to fight through the emotion of the story and the brutality of it.
But its the love and the sacrifice, the pure tenacity of spirit that pulls you through this story. Such a compelling read!!! This is a MUST READ series for any Dark Romance lovers out there, but you must read these in order.
I can’t wait for the next book, Kate’s story – I’m hoping Cole will feature heavily in this too, he needs a HEA!!
Fabulously dark 5 star reading!!!
