I received an ARC copy of this book and I chose to review it. I have been a Sierra Cartwright fan for a long time and her writing is what keeps me reading her stories. This book is well written and the characters are awesome. This one is the fourth in the series and they have all been amazing. This book is worth your time and effort. When you see Sierra Cartwright’s name on a book you know your getting a great story. I encourage you to get this book and if you haven’t read the other three get them also!!!
Just WOW. This is the first Titan book I’ve read by Sierra Cartwright and now I’m determined to get the three previous books and catch up with what I’ve missed and if it’s anything like this, “Determined Billionaire,” then I know it will be spectacular. Imagine an eight hundred year old feud between families. Now imagine the matriarch of one side deciding the only way to stop that feud was to bring both the families together again with a marriage. Yep, you read that right. Now, imagine being the woman who thinks she’s being stalked by her enemy, who apparently is some kind of crackpot, and having him show up. This was such a wonderful storyline that included Irish myths of curses and banshees, a strong willed and determined woman who carries the responsibility of her family, and a man who is devoted to his grandmother and would do anything to make her happy. The explosive interactions between these two are magnificent in their emotions, their honesty, their BDSM scenes and their discoveries. If you’re like me and hadn’t read any of the Titan’s yet, I can recommend this one 100% with 5 stars. I’m getting the rest of them as soon as I finish this review.
I loved this book. Sinead and jack are great together. And there is nothing better than trying to change an old family “Curse”. Watching as these two deal with their pasts and future is wonderful. Seeing other characters from other books is always good. Sierra Cartwright did not disappoint and I again am waiting for more from her.
Jack heard the stories and wants to make things right. You never know if family lore is true or not, but Jack is on a mission and he has Sinead in his sights. Along the way Jack and Sinead might just find love. The two are very strong characters. Sinead is not about to fall at Jack’s feet she could care less about him and his money. Jack must work hard to show Sinead the truth in his feelings. I enjoyed being along for the roller-coaster ride as these two find their way. Their story moves along at a nice pace and had me enthralled from the start. It was nice to see how strong Sinead was and how she did not fall at Jack’s feet holding her own and making Jack work for it. I loved the lore and the magic and how this begins Jack and Sinead’s adventure. The two are good together and it was nice to see them work through it all and fight for their happy ever after. We see how the past can influence the future. Whether the lore is real or not when people believe it can influence their actions and beliefs. Hopefully Jack and Sinead’s love will help to end the feud between the two families.
Book 3 in the Titans series but it can be read as a standalone. This is a enemy to lovers book with a magic twist. I loved the Celtic folklore in this story, a curse waiting to be broken, but that does take two willing people.
I loved the banter between Sinead and Jack. That was just so much fun and I loved how strong and sassy Sinead was and not willing to back down. And the connection between them was full on fireworks.
An enjoyable read.
I loved the family history of the two characters and how Jack was determined to put an end to the family feud that has been going on for hundreds of years. But Sinead isn’t going to fall for that. Both are stubborn and both have been hurt in the past, but the feelings between them are just as fiery as an Irish temper. Can they bring the feud to an end? This story was a page turner. I loved the wit and humor of both Jack and Sinead. It’s a wonderful addition to the Titan World!!!
m’fhiorghra (My True Love)
Two things I find sexy in a man. One that he is strong and commanding and Two that he has an accent. Jack Quinn from the get go ticked both of my boxes. In this story I loved the Irish folklore and myths that surrounded this couple. It was said that a Quinnkidnapped an O’Malley woman that started a feud centuries ago and it had ended tragically. Jack’s grandmother insisted he needed to bring this feud to an end by bringing the two families together by marrying an O’Malley. Jack did his research and had hissights on Sinead O’Malley.
But Sinead was having none of it. She was not impressed with Jack’s arrogance or his money. He made an offer to Sinead that she stomped on from the start. Jack never had to work to gain a woman’s favor before and he found himself completely out of his comfortzone and off-kilter. Sinead was short tempered, touchy and prickly, but Jack also found that challenging and a turn on. There was no denying their lust for each other. It was a delight to witness these two coming to terms about their true feelings for eachother.
an-mhaith Sierra Cartwright…..
I mean, seriously, I could hear the Irish brogue of both our hero and heroine through the pages, and not because the words were written in the brogue, but because the authour did such an absolutely amazing job painting the complete picture of who they were. Being Irish, that was the base of them as people
And don’t even get me started on the mystical and magic portion of the story. No, this IS a contemporary romance, but the Celtic-lore and history of the land and the characters are important and needed for the context of Sinead and Jack. The land and it’s energy, flowing in them both, is essential to their being
Even without all of that, we have two people who have been hurt in the past, and built their walls because of it. We have two people who know almost instantly they are perfect for each other intimately. We have two people whose walls prevent them from making that all important emotional connection. And, we have two people, who when they let their walls down, packed an emotional punch to my heart that they finally found their happiness, their joy, and their love!
Oh, Jack Quinn! Hot as hell, rich AF, and a loving grandson. In a quest to grant his grandmother’s wish, Jack is in search of his family’s mortal enemy. Sinead O’Malley, singer and protector of her family. Quinns and O’Malleys are sworn enemies, but the chemistry between Jack and Sinead is very strong. So strong, it’s putting their generations-long feud at risk. Could they put an end to the feuding once and for all?
I really enjoyed this story. The romance of Ireland, the sexiness of forbidden attraction. Curses, premonitions, and bad dreams. Jack is a Dominant, and he wants Sinead on her knees. Sinead is a tough as nails woman who will not be under a man’s thumb. The push and pull between these two was very compelling. They each had to give up pieces of themselves to gain the other’s trust and respect. Watching these two come together was such a thrill.
I’m loving this series, and it’s great to see the guys from previous books. I’m loving Julian Bonds and his techie toys!
Ms Cartwright just gave me a story that not only hooked me but made me stay up half the night to finish reading it.
With characters so detailed and 3 dimensional that you not only see them but can hear their voice as you read each page, and a plot that keeps you turning the page. This is a story you need to read.
As a lover of all things pirate/rogue/clan feuds, I absolutely loved what to me was a modern-day retelling of a marriage of necessity to bring an end to a centuries old curse. The characters were meant for each other and their interactions literally burned up the pages. The push/pull between them was spot on and I loved that Jack hearkened back to his wild Irish ancestors and basically took what he wanted. Sinead is strong for her family and for herself – trying to stay true to her responsibilities and hard won independence. A fun, sexy read!
AWESOME!!!
Great story and so hot!!! I love a good enemies to lovers story. The superstitious beliefs by both families add intrigue to the story. Hold on to your hat people this book will rock you!!
Can a spark that started with a old family curse be a real flame ?? Can two families go back and undo a thousand year old feud or will the history prove to be too much ??
Meet Sinead and Jack, and their quite unusual love story that was set up may generations of their families before and that has its roots in the Ireland history books. Its quite unusual for a death curse to bring people together, let alone give them the nudge to fall deep for each other but stranger things have happened and this is by far my favorite.
Legends fascinate me and the history is not something you can forget on demand. but when you have a very stubborn man in pursuit of a woman not knowing she is his match in all, he has another thing coming his way. she maybe a lass in her country but she is proven to be a resourceful tigress that will play with her snack and get away unharmed. add to the mix the spark of dominance and submission and out favorite genius (that we are still waiting for — not so patiently any more, I might add) you get the ideal story that will hook you up, make you giggle and force you to take a damn freezing cold shower (not kidding). Sierra knows just how dominant I love my males and believe me, this one is just yuuuuuuum yuuuuuum
For the first half of the book – I knew that I had read a similar story. I was right. This is a retooled story by Sierra Cartwright of her Bound and Determined book from 2015 (which I purchased and it had MM and MMF elements). This retooled story is strictly MF and has been inserted into the Titans universe.
An 800 year old feud between the O’Malleys and the Quinns, a bit of Irish folklore, and a Titan with the resources of the Zetas.
Sinead is a hardworking, hardheaded, resourceful woman, who is doing her best to help keep her family financially solvent. Jack is a determined Titan trying to end a curse but one look at Sinead and he soon realizes that his interest in her is not just about ending the curse. I thoroughly enjoyed the battle between these two characters. Sinead’s struggle to hate the enemy, even though she finds him to be the man that could complete her. Jack trying to exert his will on Sinead, despite her efforts to rebuke him. Jack’s Dom does his best to reassure and help Sinead acknowledge that he is the one for her. A fantastic guest appearance from a no-nonsense marketing guru, just added a cherry on the top of this entertaining little story.
I really love Sierra Cartwright stories (the Mastered series is my favorite) and recommend them. Each story is a true standalone with a HEA. I have purchased many of this author’s books and look forward to many more (I am really anxious to read about a certain bad boy biker Titan).
I want to thank the author for graciously allowing me a review copy of this book.
Jack Quinn and Sinead O’Malley have hundreds of years of history between their damilies and it’s not good. The more I read about Jack I could hear the lilt in this Irish rogue’s voice. As for Sinead, I am sure the madder she got the thicker her brogue became. These two are like fire and gasoline. As with all Sierra Cartwright characters these two are captivating and they are supported by a love story that is painted in broad strokes and fine lines as well as bold emotions and subtle nuances. The takeaway lesson? Love is not about money and things. Love is about loyalty, family and friends.
5 Star Review Determined Billionaire (Titans Book 4) by Sierra Cartwright
As I have come to expect from a book by Ms. Cartwright, it was extremely well written and flowed well.
I fell hard and fast for Jack Quinn and Sinead O’Malley both separately and as a couple; Jack, well there was something about him that ticked all my boxes maybe because throughout the story I could hear the Irish brogue.
Perhaps because I am of Irish descent, I’m not sure, but the myths and legends and Irish folklore added an interesting twist to an intense and highly entertaining read.
The Quinn’s and the O’Malleys are sworn enemies and in an effort to appease his grandmother and grant her wish to finally put the centuries old feud to rest, Jack goes in search of an O’Malley bride and decides on Sinead. However Sinead is not interested in anything Jack has to say and she really makes him work for it, I loved that about her.
However the attraction that Jack and Sinead immediately feel will put them both to the test as lines are crossed. Could the relationship building between them put the feud to rest once and for all? Or are they destined to be pulled apart?
This was a hot and passionate story filled with angst and emotion. The chemistry between Jack and Sinead is scorching and add in the fact that Jack is a Dominant and Sinead has no intention of kneeling for any man and you just know that you are in for an exciting journey.
Both Jack and Sinead have been burnt in the past and the walls that they have built will be hard to break down. When they both finally let the other in, it was heartwarming and emotional; the flames almost jump off the page as you read.
Determined Billionaire had my heart pounding at times and the writing was powerful. It was great to see familiar characters appearing in the story. A fabulous addition to the series and I cannot wait to read the next book.
I enjoyed the history and the little bit of fantasy lore of the story, and of course I love all things Julien! Molly was a hoot! I would have liked a bit more back story in the beginning, but many of the questions I had in the beginning of the book were answered as I continued to read. Overall an enjoyable way to spend a few hours getting away from real life with an Irish fantasy.
Jack and Sinead, what an endearing couple, both very independent but very astute and most definitely determined people.
Determined to succeed, to live their lives to the fullest, to conquer their fears, but most definitely determined to Love and be Loved. To dispel the familial curses, and boy did they take the long way round.
I loved their chemistry, from their first meeting in the bar whilst Sinead’s Band were on tour to their smoking hot AF scenes.
Your covers should come with a Fan warning…. This would have 5 Fans as you need that many to cool you down afterwards, not to mention needing an imaginary cigarette.
I’ve been a fan of Sierra’s after first reading her mastered series, back in Feb/March 2013, , and have loved everything I’ve read since, and she has a way of putting you right in the middle of things with the characters, you can be very close friends with, and each character however small being an integral part of the story.
Sierra’s women certainly know how to make the men, sit up and listen! not to their voices but to their hearts.
However strong and determined the men are, with their wants and desires, it is the ladies that weave their thoughts to get the men to yield.
Jack and Sinead were no exception, both unyielding or so they thought! but accepted their fates and with whatever life threw their way.
A gripping, thrilling and very sexy read it has you turning the pages to devour it all, but making you slow down to savour it slowly. 3>
Oh how I love Jack and Sinead…. two families, the Quinn’s and the O’Malley’s, tied together by a feud going back hundreds of years. A curse lays itself at the matriarch of the Quinn family, and she is determined to break it by a marriage between the families. Jack Quinn doesn’t believe in love but sets out to marry Sinead O’Malley to do his duty to his family, even if he has to take her by force. Sinead O’Malley is a woman who works hard to keep her family’s estate afloat. Jack literally swoops in and tries to convince Sinead to marry him and the last thing she wants is a Quinn…. While she may agree to return to Ireland with him, she does not want anything from him. However, their chemistry happens to be off the charts, but it’s not enough for the proud O’Malley. She won’t settle for anything less than love, and with a Quinn, oh no… but, what happens when they are separated… will they ever see each other again, let alone get married to end the curse…
I loved their story ad was so excited to see some of Sierra’s other characters in this book… what an amazingly hot story!!!I
HOOKED! I was hooked! I loved the back story on the family feud that makes Jack and Sinead enemies. I love the myth of the Banshee following the family. I loved the way that Jack and Sinead get to know each other and finally get their HEA. I also loved the way Sinead is determined to not allow Jack to get under her skin. Well, that was useless because what Jack wants, Jack gets.
