This was a different take on a shifter story which I enjoyed from beginning to end. I really like the new take on dragon and shifter society, That traditionalIy hunter were female who hunt dragons. I found that fascinating. It also handles the fated mates in a unique and unconventional way. Which was really interesting to me. I absolutely loved watching Arista and Malcolm with so many obstacles in their way and them fighting everyone who trying to tear them apart. Overall this was entertaining read jam packed with action, suspense, drama, and betrayal. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
This story is by Selina Coffey, and she is one of my favorite authors. (I have many because the stories they write are gr8. Any hoo, on to the review. I felt so bad for Arista, she had a freaky illness & was dying, & the doctors couldn’t figure it out. When she took off to visit her mother, she sort of bumped into Malcolm. He was out on a mission and they were both drawn to each other. I really enjoyed this story, & look forward to the next one.
I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
An Amazing book to me it just melted my for reasons I can not explain. Selina Coffey has created a Wonderful magical world pretty much around the real world. Selina has pretty much COVERED all the issues that make a “TRULY WONDERFUL PNR” to me anyways.. She most defenitly WROTE A BOOK based on what draws me in Who could not ask for “UNBIDDEN & UNKNIWN” love, betrayal, action, romance, & a most definite gotta have a “KICK A** parallel universe! An Amazing world that I truly ADORED Selina the way she had it all come together. I would not quit Reading this book!!
I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE 2ND ONE!
A fabulous new world of dragon shifters and the women who hunt them .. Yes it gets as dangerous as it sounds
Definitely kept me on edge – Malcolm is the crowned prince who does what needs to be done to protect his people
Arista is just trodding through life – slowly fading away and no one knows why – she returns to her past hoping to find answers
Quite a few twists and pivots throughout the story kept me engaged and curious
There are a couple characters I would love to have *drake* slapped – I doubt as I would have been as forgiving or understanding
This story didn’t flow quite as well as I would have liked –
there was a lot of character and plot introductions that were just sort of tossed into the story that obviously have a larger impact on future occurrences – I am taking into consideration this possibly is a result of the extensive world building and character development any new series requires so. here is hoping I get my answers in the next book
