Desolation is the fourth and last book of Bella Jewel’s Jokers’ Wrath MC series and it is THE book I have been waiting for since reading Santana’s story. I knew this book would slay me and … it did … every time I came to the chapter that said THEN, I took a deep breath and prepared myself for the depravity of human race …
There are a lot of writers who write about human trafficking … the sex trafficking … and it is very much part of the MC genre BUT this is the FIRST time in the many many MC series that I have read that this one was NOT about sex trafficking … it was about human trafficking but it was about slaves and it is something that is not talked about so much so I want to thank Bella for taking this angle and doing it the way she did …
We also have Tyke, the member of the club who we met already in the first book and he has sort of been in the fringes of our imagination and I am so happy that Bella gave him to Pippa and that Pippa got him … they were made for each other … and the way Bella gives us insight into why they are perfect for each other … well, basically she pulls out our hearts and stomps on the with motorcycle boots then picks them up tenderly and whispers the words of love and we are whole … once again … What an explosive conclusion!
Desolation, Tyke & Pippa’s story.
After reading Anguish I was expecting a lot more from Tyke & Pippa… Sadly, I find the pacing really slow and some elements were missing or unfinished. I did want Tyke & Pippa to end up together but who wouldn’t root for Rainer after what they’ve been through and what happened to Andi?
Also, the Joker’s Wrath never get to finish with the Tinmen MC. It was never resolved, if I remember correctly.
All in all this is just an okay book, looking forward to the spin-offs
Desolation was an okay read for me. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either. I liked both Pippa and Tyke, but I felt their relationship was lacking. They really didn’t have one for over half of the book. Tyke had a girlfriend for like 60% of the book and it bugged me. There was more of a build up of Rainer and Pippa’s relationship than her and Tyke. At times I wanted her to end up with Rainer. Poor Mack in this book. Losing a leg. I was glad that he didn’t feel sorry for himself but was like I will walk again period! I like that about Mack. Overall this was an okay read but I wasn’t to invested in it. And this is were me and the Jokers part ways. I have no desire to read the last two books in this series so I’m not gonna. I don’t know who those people are. Who the hell are Molly and Roman? Who are Jack and Baylee? I haven’t met them in any of the other books so why would I care now I don’t. Just sayin’! Later on down the line I may go and read Max & Belle’s (House Of Obsidian series) and Rainer and Mali’s (also HOB Series)books as I am interested in Rainer and Max.
