If he’s not careful, she’ll carry his secrets to her grave.Exer isn’t like other Sidyths. For one thing, he looks human—from the front, at least. That, combined with a past trauma on his homeworld, makes him less than eager to spend his days with his brothers and all the human females around them.Except for Sloane. Exer would give almost anything to make her his mate. But he’s not willing to push … would give almost anything to make her his mate. But he’s not willing to push her into being more than friends. For one thing, he knows how bad things could get if it turns out he’s not the prince she’s always pining for. No. He’d rather spend his time caring for the pets he keeps in his private sanctuary than risk Sloane’s rejection—or worse.
But when Sloane ends up putting her life in danger in order to dig into his past, he’ll have to decide what’s more important to him: keeping his secrets or saving the woman he loves.

Coming out of the friend zone
I always love a book where the seeming underdog gets the HEA. This book is a perfect example of that. It’s full of two people who want to be on the same page, but are afraid to let the other know. A little communication, and some spontaneous stalking, gets them started on the path to their HEA. I can’t wait to read the next book.
Story line is great and I loved the characters. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Unexpected twists and turns had me reading this book in one sitting. Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read!

Sloane is always seen as the perfect woman by the other women. But she doesn’t see herself that way. For the last few years she was treated like a pet. Something made to look pretty and that was all. Now that she is on an alien planet with other human women and the male alien Sidyth. Exer has always been drawn to her but they have only been friends. But the secrets and unknown are becoming too much for both of them. Sloane’s character is definitely impulsive and doesn’t always think things through enough. And Exer is shy and has his own secrets that he is afraid to share with her. But romance and maybe some fate steps in. Otherwise these two may drive everyone crazy around them.
Book Review
Title: Desired by the Alien (Rebels of Sidyth #5)
Author: Sabrina Kade
Genre: Sci-Fi/Romance
Rating: ***
Review: This is the fifth book in the Rebels of Sidyth series and I have lived all the entries so far, this one is following Exer; who is the most human looking of the Sidyths and Sloane. This pair have a complicated romance before we even begin ad they are mentioned in the previous book as part of a love square. We learn that at the start of this novel that a year has almost passed since the girl arrived. Blythe has given birth to a baby girl named Kyeth and York, Ellis, and Layla are pregnant.
Through Sloane, we learn on her previous assignment was treated as a human doll and was experimented on but never raped meaning she had a better deal than most of the other girls. However, while Sloane is grateful for this she does want to be seen as worthy of some male attention and while Exer does follow her around she only sees him as a friend, and he hasn’t shown any interest in her. This does result in Sloane feeling very lonely and sexually frustrated and Exer disappearing for days at a time doesn’t help as she doesn’t really talk to anyone else. By the time we get to Exer’s perspective, I was a little irradiated with Sloane and a little bored, but I stuck with it because I love this author and series so much. We learn from Exer that he does like Sloane, but he knows that she isn’t looking for a mate and he believes that she doesn’t see him that way. We also learn that unlike the other Sidyths Exer likes to be alone and almost has social anxiety, but we are over a third of the way through the novel and not much has happened in the grand scheme of things so I hoping for the story to pick up soon.
By the time this pair get down to anything interesting, I was close to wanting to bash their heads together. I can appreciate the fact that both come from difficult posts but waiting was torture. By the time they confess, and it turns out to be Sloane doing the confessing we get to see a more vulnerable side to both Sloane and Exer. The relationship between this pair is up and down and really forced both of them to decide whether their possible love or their ideals are more important to them. In the end, I found the second half of the book to be much more entertaining than the first which I found a little boring, but I’d still highly recommend anything Sabrina Kade writes.
Interesting yet
I have high expectations with the book, considering the blurb. But I guess I was kinda disappointed because this plot/story is somewhat ordinary. And dragging at the start. And the second part has compensated for it, but still, its not enough for me. Yes, there’s a bit mystery and somewhat drama , but mostly, but all throughout, there are no extraordinary happening – that of which I seek more from. Maybe her other books would really be much more interesting.

Desired by the Alien is the fifth book in the Rebels of Sidyth series by Sabrina Kade. This book focused on the relationship between Sloane a human and Exer a Sidyth. This book is a stand alone story that has it own happy ever after while adding to the overall series story. This book involves Sloane a human trying to figure out why Exer an alien keeps leaving the compound that she and the other human women are kept in. I loved the mystery surrounding Exer’s disappearances and Sloan’s deductions of why he keeps leaving. Sloan’s tenacity and willingness to go after Exer toward the unknown makes this an exciting tale as Sloan an Exer’s relationship develops into the sweet alien love story that I found interesting and attention holding until I finished it.
Book five of the Rebels of Sidyth series another well written book in the series.I hope there is more to come. This is Exer and Sloane’s story Exer can not stand the smell around the caves so he goes away for days making Sloane think her does not want to be with her. Sloane in her own way has to grow up and Exer must learn how to forgive the past and learn how to accept Sloane in his life.Sloane runs away and gets into trouble and the only one with her is Exer’s pet idekeiss Hinda a reptilian bull dog as Sloane calls her. A great addition to this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A story of Exer and Sloane. Exer is a Sidyth that looks mostly human. And he’s sure that he doesn’t need a Chosen one. But what if a feisty redhead female thinks there can be something between them? Will manage to bare his secrets for her? Or he’s insecurity (YES THEY FEEL IT AS WELL!) Will put them apart? Nothing is sure here. I loved how Exer’s character was written it welt so real.
Sloane is a woman that doesn’t want a mate in my opinion but what if the Sidyth in question feels the same?
This is a story about revealing yourself to new opportunities and dealing with your own past.
Sidyths originate on Sidetha and are known throughout the galaxy for disrespecting women. These Sidyths on Hethdiss claim to be different from the rest and are looking to find their “Chosen” from the 20 women brought to their exile planet when Prince Korben was looking for a mate. He is also hoping his trusted brothers on Hethdiss will find a mate too, and the women will be treated as equals going forward. So far, the plan has been working fairly well – at least until Sloan decides she is the best candidate to learn the Sidyth’s secrets regarding what is going on in both the north and south areas outside of their “safety bubble”.
Dolan came to rescue Sloan when his pregnant wife, Layla, could not stop sniffing her hair, claiming it smelled of strawberries and she could not get enough. He asked Sloan where her mate was, but she immediately denied they were mates. She wanted a Prince Charming, but Exer was more a brooding, unsmiling, secretive, lost soul. Exer had been leaving the area for longer and longer periods lately, from hours to days, and no one knew where he went. Last time, he was gone for 3 days! It was definitely making her curious. Dolan reassured her he would protect her during the times Exer was gone, and she rolled her eyes at his chauvinistic attitude of thinking she needed a man to take care of her.
After talking with Blythe about Exer’s disappearances, Sloan is even more determined to find out where he is going so secretly. She feels they have a right to know, because the secrets they are keeping would probably change how the humans feel about the Sidyths. She began to think about following him to find the truth. Will she be putting herself in great danger doing this? Will this be the catalyst that forces each of them to acknowledge their feelings for one another? Or will it be too late for that?
I thought this was a good story. Again, it shows us how important communication is, for our characters and for ourselves! But I guess if they communicated, we would have this story! The story line’s mystery of where Exer is going is what keeps the reader’s interest, along with the suspense of what danger Sloane will get into by trying to follow him. Grab a copy and see if these two survive to figure out whether they were meant to be or not!
Desired by the Alien (Rebels Of Sidth Series # 5) begins with catching us up with what’s been happening on this planet so far which I love the refresher.
Exer & Sloane will take you on a cyclonic romance from friends to lovers. These two characters are compelling & some of my favourites in this series.
I love the vivid details of this cosmos, as well the brand-new mammalian character’s introduced in this novel.
Looking forward to reading the next novel in this Sci-fi Alien romance series.
